We only had a few days to discover this magnificent city and this tour didn't dissapoint. Our driver Ahmed was excellent, he talked us through all of the points in the tour, his English is excellent. The beauty of a private tour is the personalisation, which Ahmed gave us lots of options. Clean, well presented air conditioned car. Picked up from our hotel lobby and excellent communication from tour company. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We were very fortunate to have Saif as our guide who provided us with a fascinating and in depth tour of Muscat. We visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, The Opera House, Old Muscat, a souk and the Barr Al Jissah resort. We had a great experience on this Muscat city tour. Although we chose to skip the beach and fish market by personal preference, the rest of the itinerary was well paced and enjoyable.
Our tour guide was excellent and truly made the experience. He provided thoughtful history, cultural context, and background at each stop, which added a lot of value and helped us better understand what we were seeing. It felt like a real guided tour rather than just transportation between sites.
The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the driver was very attentive throughout the day. We were provided with bottled water consistently, and as a nice extra touch, he also bought us a local snack to try.
Overall, this was a well-run tour with a knowledgeable guide and good hospitality. A great way to see Muscat and learn more about Oman in a short amount of time.

Excellent trip with Khalid. I hadn't realised it was a private tour just for me (!) so it was extra special. I was taken to all the main sites in Muscat and was able to have a good conversation with Khalid, who was very attentive and friendly. I learnt a lot. The tour was supposed to be 4 hours but ended up being 5 hours.

I had a wonderful tour. My guide was on time, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the City of Muscat. We were able to time our arrivals to be in/out before the major crowds on the bus tours at every stop all morning. And we also visited some little known spots as well. Great tour of Muscat’s sights with our friendly guide Nasr. Our favourite was the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque where Nasr allowed us plenty of time to take it all in. He also kindly took many photos of us to record our visit & the rest of the tour which was a nice touch.
Sadly the Opera House was closed when we visited but Nasr made sure we saw everything else driving us safely around the city from point to point. Highly recommend this tour as a way to see the city with a professional guide especially if you have limited time in Muscat.

This is one of the best City tours we have done and despite the cost, it is well worth the money.
We were diving each morning so opted for the afternoon tour and despite not being able to go inside the mosque (we knew before that the mosque only opens 8-11am), we actually preferred going in the afternoon when it was cooler and the souks and City light up and come alive.
Muhammed was our guide and he was fantastic - best guide we have ever had! His English was excellent and he was such a lovely person. He knew the City so well having grown up there and threw in extra stops including showing us the first road in Oman and bioluminescents on the beach which was an absolute highlight!
Highly recommend this tour and going private has the advantage of spending as long as you want at each stop.

Nasr was an exemplary tour guide being both courteous and knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful tour in Muscat with Viator and our driver Ahmed. We had to book our trip the same day (hours before the tour) and Viator confirmed right away. From the moment we arrived, he was already waiting for us at the airport right on time, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. Throughout the day he took us to all the key landmarks, sharing explanations about what we were seeing in a way that was both informative and enjoyable.
What we appreciated most was his calm and kind manner. He was professional, respectful of our privacy, yet always available when we had questions. He made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of the entire time.
If you’re visiting Muscat and looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to spend the day with, we can’t recommend Viator and Ahmed enough!
