The hike is not long but is uneven and rocky terrain. You should be able to handle 1.5 hours of this. The valley is stunning and the water is clear and beautiful. The swim into the cave is such a thrill. Our guide Mohammad was delightful. He took such good care of us and shared history of the region as well as personal stories to help us understand and appreciate Omani culture. The highlight of my trip to Oman.

It was a must do activity when U visit Muscat. I would highly recommend this company. Qais, our guide is extremely informative, helpful and professional. Really nice van, ice water and very delicious lunch are provided!

One of the best experiences of our Oman trip! We booked the Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole tour through Viator, and our guide Abdullah was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish.
We started the hike around 10am and finished around 1:30–2pm. It was incredibly hot, but Abdullah made sure we took plenty of water breaks and never felt rushed. The hike itself was beautiful, but spending time swimming in the water and exploring the caves at the end made it completely worth it!
We also really appreciated the smaller group size, which made the experience feel much more personal and relaxed. Abdullah did a great job of keeping everyone together, explaining things along the way, and making sure we were comfortable throughout the day. The transportation was also very comfortable, which was definitely appreciated after the hike!
By far one of the highlights of our trip to Oman and something I would highly, highly recommend. Wadi Shab is absolutely worth experiencing, and having a great guide like Abdullah made it even better!

So the tour actually canceled but I decided to leave a 5-star review because of how well the company communicated. They also pushed me into renting my own vehicle and my trip to Oman turned out better than it would have without the car!

The tour guide was soo very helpful as I booked this trip for my parents and they said they loved it. He looked after them very well and they said the area was beautiful and tour guide explain the history of each part in a lot of detail which was great. We had an incredible time hiking through the valley and then swimming along the natural pools till we reach an amazing cave. Our guide Mohammed took very good care of all of us and was so nice and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful day we’ll always treasure in our memories! Alhamdulillah!

Quite physically taxing. 1 hour each way of hiking and then a lot of swimming but it was so worth it. What a beautiful place on Earth to experience. Thank you to our tour guide Mohammed Aldighaishi who was so lovely and really took care of us. I’d highly recommend this experience

The trip to Wadi Shab was excellent with Mahmood being a very good guide. At times, I felt he was aloof from the guests and we were often found alone as a group wondering where he was. Fortunately, we were all sensible adults and looked after ourselves. Wadi Shab is not for the faint hearted and is quite a trek and VERY slippery in places, so extreme care has to be taken.
Our lunch stop was very poor with below standard food served. The tables were dirty and If you like a dozen cats at your feet, this is the place to come. The toilets were no better.
Overall, the trip was made by getting to Wadi Shab in one piece amongst a group of fellow travellers that made the day very special.
I didn't enjoy Bimmah Sinkhole so much and was glad that we were only there for 40 minutes. The toilets there were disgusting.

Wadi Shab was the best experience we had during our stay at Oman.. Our tour guide Qais ensured that we had a very smooth experience and made it enjoyable. I and my wife were no pro swimmers. Yet , Qais encouraged , Motivated and helped us complete the swim using life jackets. Will highly recommend this experience with this tour provider to everyone.

Really really fantastic. I'm not usually a huge swimmer so I was unsure how much I would enjoy this, but I ended up absolutely loving it. The landscape and the hike and the water are all so beautiful, and the cave at the end was one of the most amazing things I've seen. Definitely rent the water shoes and the life jacket, even if you're a fairly solid swimmer these will make the experience much more relaxing and enjoyable. Must do!!

If you plan to explore cave at wadi shab, i 5000% recommend to rent a life jacket otherwise the swim can be dangerous and tiring

Bit of a trek on some rough ground to get to the pools. Worth the effort once you get there. Don’t carry too much baggage.
If you’re a poor swimmer have the life jacket to feel comfortable in the cave at the end.

Mohammed was an absolutely fantastic guide in Wadi Shab. From start to finish, he was full of laughter and humour, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He took his time throughout the trail and always made health and safety his top priority, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and well looked after.
The trip itself was amazing overall, and the hike isn’t too difficult, making it suitable for most people. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Oman — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Mohammed as your guide. He truly made the day unforgettable.
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Oman and I would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Wadi Shab. Our guide and driver Abdullah drove us to and from Wadi Shab and Bimmah safely and in good time, and guided us along the hike through the wadi and to the pools. It is a breath taking place and our guide helped us get ahead of the crowds so we could experience it with fewer people. The lunch in the local family home was more than sufficient and much needed after the hike. Overall, this was a fun day and a really good experience.
A great excursion from the city into the mountains. The scenery was stunning, we had plenty of time to explore and to take photos and then to swim in beautiful pools at the top of the gorge. The final entrance to the last cave was a bit tight and scary but well worth it for the waterfall inside. Excellently organised and safe, with a good mix of fellow travellers.

Loved the hike but the pools were a bit of insta vs reality. The final cave was way too busy for anyone to enjoy. Still worth seeing the beautiful mountains just be mindful it will be busy

The nature was absolutely breathtaking — unreal landscapes and crystal-clear water. The tour was very well organized from start to finish. All the necessary information about what to bring was sent in advance, which was very helpful.
Even if you don’t have something with you, it’s not a problem — you can buy everything on site, like water shoes and a waterproof phone case.
The lunch was very tasty and authentic — delicious local Omani cuisine.
Our driver Rashid was very polite, friendly, and cheerful, and made the trip even more enjoyable.

We were met at our hotel and joined the other 7 guests on a drive to Wadi Shab. Our driver/guide informed us of how the day was going to run and what to expect. We stopped at a store to purchase swimming shoes which were totally well recommended and needed to be safe and enjoy the swimming. The trek was through the valley walking alongside the stream, until 50 minutes we reached the pools. The pools were warmed than expected and due to our drivers schedule - picking us up early, we were able to enjoy them before too may people came into the area. We were escorted through the various pools and everyone was well looked after. I can totally recommend the visit and the time spent with our guide.
Afterwards we were taken for some delicious lunch before going to the sink hole and then stop to see a Frankensese tree.

It was breathtaking we never thought that Oman had this beautiful side to it. Highly recommend doing this tour but be cautious that it is quite adventurous. You would be required to swim three different pools which would take about 45 minutes to get through and then finally enter the cave to see the mesmerising waterfall. Highly recommended if you’re up for the adventure. Beautiful Rocky Mountains welcome you into the wadi!

Amazing but be careful. Put on good sport shoes and bring good anti slip see shoes. It is a workout to arrive at Wadi Shab but it is worthwile!!! We had a very good and helpful guide. Everything was perfectly organized! Good lunch and snack👌
