Peaceful and relaxing ride out to sea

It's a beautiful and peaceful ride along the coast of Muscat. Small snacks and drinks are provided. The guides are a bit sparse with information on what we are passing or seeing, but are also not interrupting every minute with meaningless drivel. And the sunset is impressive.

Beautiful Sunset and Good Coordination

The coordination was good, the pier has a couple coffee shops to get refreshments before the tour. The dhow was busy with a few different groups. The sunset was lovely and we saw a few spots from the water. Dates and drinks were offered and Captain pointed out the main spots. Otherwise it was a little boring.. maybe some form of entertainment could enhance the experience.

A wonderful cruise around the coast of muscat. Captain was great fun allowing passengers to be captains for a 0few minutes. Refreshments were very basic and could have been better

A nice relaxed way to spend an evening

We booked this without really being sure what to expect. The port is a bit of a way out from Muscat, and around the headland from Matrah. The boat is a beautiful old Dhow, and it really feels like a different pace of life compared to the city. It was well stocked with cold drinks (although the snacks advertised were free and far between), and there was plenty of space to move around and take pictures from. We left the harbour just after 5 and started sailing around towards Matrah. The captain was pointing out interesting landmarks and giving a bit of history as we sailed past. We sailed around and stopped by the sultan’s palace to watch the sun set over the mountains, before starting to head back to port. The entire cruise lasted just over 2 hours and was a lovely relaxed way to spend an evening away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Enjoyable and relaxing

The driver picked up on time and very pleasant. Even explained what certain buildings were as we drove. The dhow was clean and the staff excellent. Very helpful offering snacks drinks and information. At sunset we stopped put on all the lights and just watched the sun set. Then return to go back to the hotel.

Dhow pleasant evening

We were picked up from our hotel right on time. The cruise was a great way to spend the early evening. Whilst on the dhow the crew were friendly and readily answered any questions we had always pleasantly. At the of the cruise we were returned promptly to our hotel along with other guests, everyone enjoyed their evening thoroughly.
