The best way to see Oman

I came to Oman for the afternoon specifically just to take this tour so I had a lot riding on it. Wow I was not disappointed! The experience was incredible!!! Way beyond my expectations. Since I picked a day that no one else had booked, I was able to get a somewhat customized tour. The airport is not listed as a pickup location but they were able to pick me up and drop off at the airport as an exception since I was the only one on the tour. Many places were closed during the times of my visit such as the mosque. The tour operator made sure to inform me of that in advance, and then replaced the closed destinations with others that were equally fantastic. My guide Asaad is so passionate and knowledgeable about Oman, I loved learning more about the country. Even in a few hours, I feel like I got a taste of what the country has to offer. Although the tour is meant to be 3-4 hours, Asaad let me take my time in the souk and we ended the tour a little bit over time. Really appreciated the flexible nature of this experience

pickup at the airport was quick and easy, Mahmoud was a great guide. we went to the mosque, then had a quick bite of the omani bread with spicy chips and cheese and one with honey and cheese and some karak tea. was all very good. then went on to the fish market and saw some massive tuna, shopped a bit in the market, and drove down to a spot to see the palace. i loved the chips and Mahmoud stopped on the way to the hotel and grabbed a huge bag of them for us. great day to spend seeing a bit of muscat before checking into hotel

this was a quick half day tour - very good given the time investment! good communication (confirmed 2 days prior and night before) - the guide provided explanation of sites and history of the country's development, explained the succession, etc - guide also gave a good food recommendation - he drove us to lunch and waited while we ate and then dropped us back to the hotel after (lunch time was not included in the tour) - it was great that he did that - saved us the cost of a taxi back to the hotel!

Excellent introduction to Muscat

This morning we were taken on a wonderful tour of Oman. Our guide Zaher was so welcoming and provided an excellent introduction to his city. His tour of the Grand Mosque was given with deep understanding and insight into the many craftspeople who had contributed to creating this magnificent place of worship. Along the journey through Muscat Zaher gave us an oversight of different aspects of life in Muscat. A highlight was breakfast of fresh bread, cheese and honey. We also loved seeing old Muscat and the Portuguese forts dating back to 1500s built among the sheer beauty of the harsh rock faces. Zaher was a knowledgeable host.

Wonderful private Half day Muscat City tour

With only 1 day in Muscat we were pleased that we had booked this half day city tour in advance. Communications with the tour operator were excellent. We received regular updates and advice on dress requirements. Our lovely tour guide Noof arrived on time and was a fantastic host. It was great to learn so much about Muscat and Oman from a local. We saw all the main sites and enjoyed the Karak tea and Omani bread. Definitely recommended

Zaher was our guide for this tour. He was excellent, spoke good English and was very cordial. He did not rush you and explained everything patiently. He did not say 'no' to anything. Wonderful tour with Zaher. We learned lots about Oman and its people from him as well as see all the key sites. He was a very kind and knowledgeable guide and safe driver. The Grand Mosque is stunning and the highlight of the tour. Dates from Zaher’s farm, coffee and Omani bread were a treat. A recommended tour for a first visit and a half day was enough to see everything we wanted to do. We had a great morning, thank you Zaher!!

Great quick tour of Muscat

Our guide was brilliant. Knowledgeable and super friendly. Wear modest clothes for the Mosque. It is stunning. The walking is easy, all paved. Old Muscat/Mutrah are well worth it and the halwa/coffee were delicious.

I spent a bit of time trying to decide which tour to book in Muscat and I couldn't have picked better. Mahmoud was an exceptional guide, kind and generous with his time and information, and very accommodating when my flight landed a bit late. Muscat is an amazing place to visit and Mahmoud's knowledge made it even better. He was also extremely patient when I got carried away shopping in the souk 😆 The tour company is excellent too and its no surprise that they only have 5 star reviews. Great communication throughout. I'm keen to go back and see more of Oman and will definitely book with them again.

Great Glimpse of Muscat

This tour provides a nice glimpse of Muscat and allows you to see different aspects of the city. The Grand Mosque was beautiful and the process for entering was not extreme. You need long sleeves, covered legs, and a head covering for ladies. Large bags won’t be permitted, but you can leave them with a guard for 2.5 OMR. So it’s better to leave them in your vehicle. We enjoyed the Opera House and paid to go inside and view the architecture. However, you have the choice to only see the outside grounds. The royal palace is a unique building that you get to see from outside and take photos. The souq is what you’d expect from a souq…full of shops, busy, crowded. Our guide, Hawwa, was very informative and kind. She shared lots of information and showed enthusiasm for her city. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you are short on time.
