We had a truly unforgettable experience on this tour. The speedboat was modern and clean, with lots of shade, and there was plenty of cold soft drinks and bottled water. Mahmood was our driver and guide. He was very professional, friendly and took care of the passengers very well. The dolphins were equally professional, taking their jobs seriously by turning up every now and then at the surface of the ocean to show off their swimming and leaping skills to great effect. The tour ended with an incredible coastal tour which showcased the beauty and magnificence of the coastline of Oman. I highly recommend this tour and the tour operator QTours.

Very good experience and saw lots of dolphins. Had some difficulty finding Q Tours when arriving at the marina. We arranged for our taxi to pick us up after the trip which proved a good move as very few taxis available at the time.

Plentiful dolphins on a fab tour!

A fabulous tour, there were 6 of us on a boat (our family of four and two others), so not crowded at all. The boat moved at a great speed, which afforded us some very fresh sea breeze on a very hot day, which in itself was divine! Captain Bisil (I think this was his name) was very friendly and offered a large coolbox of water and juice cans, plus a bowl of fruit. We swiftly found a pod of dolphins and got up fairly close, then moved onto other areas to see more and more - the sea seems to be teeming with them! We saw jumping tuna at times too! Overall, an excellent experience with plenty of dolphin spotting in the wild, and we even saw a turtle in the harbour on return.

Excellent service from check-in to disembarking. There was a lot of traffic and we were running behind. They called to check on us and held our tour. Then offered as an alternate longer tour at no extra cost. Had a wonderful experience seeing so many dolphins, turtles and fish. Worth every penny and best customer service. Thank you. Even if you don’t see anything the boat ride itself is great and the entire Gulf of Oman is gorgeous. Seeing the dolphins in the open sea of course is desirable and an equally beautiful part of the activity. Book it (no regrets).

Another tick on my bucket list

Fantastic trip to tick off a bucket list wish to see dolphins in the wild. The first day of this trip there wasn’t a dolphin to be seen, however, we were given a tour of this stunning coastline instead and were offered snorkelling but unfortunately we didn’t have our swimwear. Determined to succeed we booked again for the next day and were generously offered a discount. Second day we struck lucky and saw what felt like hundreds of dolphins. The boat captains all communicate to find the best possible chance of sightings. Followed by a stop in a picturesque bay to do some snorkelling. Both trips were small groups.

1. It lasted 90 minutes, not 120 minutes, 25 per cent less than stipulated. Of course, I was charged 100%. 2. In the dolphin area, just 30 minutes. Or put another way: 25% of the activity was to try to see dolphins, the remaining 75% was not. That's hard to see them... 60 minutes went from here to there, seeing the coast, which is nice yes, but I paid to try to see dolphins, not to see the coast and the beaches of the hotels.
