Excellent tour, guide and driver, but to see many of the sites, we had hoped to see and enjoy the excursion very much

The tour was very well organised. We were a bit confused about the start time of the tour, resulting in us being too late and the tour had already left. However, one of the people of the tour organisation was so kind to offer us a drive to the tour in his car. We arrived at the tours' first stop so we missed nothing. It was a great tour providing good insights in history, architecture, art of Montevideo.

We waited for other people for a while. We have to look for our tour guide. They are not identified under Viator. She was wearing a yellow tshirt and she removed it and we were not able to follow her and we went back to the bus instead. She does not give clear instructions. Her times were off. She is unorganized and hyper. She pointed us things that are not highlight to the place. She is reading what she is saying to us. She is not a good tour guide. She said there is wifi but the password is not working. Personally, this tour is useless. Sorry, to say that.

A nice Highlights tour of Montevideo. Although our guide was lovely and knowledgeable I think people became a little frustrated because she walked too fast and people (particularly the elderly) just couldn't keep up. Also when the bus WIFI was not working and people were complaining it didn't seem like she was listening. WIFI was fixed in the end by the driver though which was great. Overall not bad for someone visiting Montevideo for the first time. But could do with some improvement 🙂

Excellent tour with Rodrigo as our guide. Small group which was good for getting on and off the bus at photo stops and points of interest. Couldn't fault it. We were back at the ship in plenty of time.

Bus tour was supposed to have WiFi but we could never get in. The tour guide referred to the slideshow we were supposed to watch but with no WiFi we couldn’t see it. Good microphone system. No enough time at any place. Very quick stops

Mr Jerry, you choose a Tour for Cruisers departing from inside the Port and we advise you to change with time enough to look for a Tour departing from Hotels. Our tour its not allowed to mix passengers from Cruises with passengers from Hotels. We really are dissapointing reading your comments. Its not fair what you are doing. Next time read the name of the Tour you are requesting.

Started badly when guide tried to give everyone wifi code this took over 20 mins and still didn't get WiFi
The guide could not speak English apart from the odd word we could understand.
We were on bus for 1 and a half hours before seeing anything. He took us to a market which was basically a few shops
Then to a church which was closed for a mass. Was a complete waste of money
Got dropped back at port and opposite was a market which was far better and a lovely square with shops and bars
We could have quite easily done arch better tour ourselves walking from port instead of sitting on a bus for over 3 hours listening to guide trying take himself understood.

Horrendous. Booked a small party tour - needed up in a bus with 50. Due to the size couldn’t park no where. Missed the parliament building (oh couldn’t park). Guide could not understand (due to his) accent he could speak English - but you couldn’t understand with the accent.

It's a shame to read about your bad experience. You should have asked the guide, since your accent prevented you from enjoying the tour, to take you back to the port so we could have provided a solution and ensured you had the experience you deserve, instead of completing the tour without understanding. We were unable to go on this shore excursion because our cruise ship couldn’t dock due to strong winds. I informed Viator that since we did not foresee this port stop being canceled, we did not cancel 24 hours prior. Viator reached out to the tour company and after a couple days refunded us our tour payment. Thank you for your understanding and professionalism.

This was a good overview of the City of Montevideo. We saw a lot of points of interest. Rodrigo was very knowledgeable about the city and Uruguay. We learned a lot.

The trip covered all the main points of interest, with a very comfortable small coach. Our guide was nervous (he told us!) so perhaps he was new to the job? He spoke very quickly and it was difficult to understand at times. It would have helped if, when we had 25 minutes at the covered market, he informed us that toilets were available there. He was very keen to please so with more experience he will be fine.

I booked this tour in Montevideo as we were in port on a cruise so had limited time. Had heard there was nothing much to see, that it was a busy port city. We docked on a Sunday so it was very quiet and shops were not yet open when we arrived. I was pleasantly surprised, nice clean city with beautiful coast and beach. Some nice building and our guide Facundo, hope I have his name right, was very pleasant and made the morning very enjoyable. Some would say you can do this on your own but I find that having a guide makes a huge difference. They have so much information to give you about the area it’s so much better than ending up walking along the promenade on your own.

This City Tour of Montevideo was the best. It was better than the tours we took on Oceania Marina. Our tour leader, Rodreguez was terrfic. He answered all the questions we had about Montevideo and he spoke English very well. I can't express how we loved this tour so much.

Excellent tour with twelve other people who were two groups. Travel was by mini bus which had air con and WiFi. Both the tour guide and driver spoke excellent English and were happy to answer questions as we went along. It started at the cruise terminal and ended there too although you could be dropped off before, to make your own way back. The tour took in most of the appropriate places of interest and we stopped to get out 4-5 times which was excellent. A wealth of information given, an abundance of places visited and seen and at the end of the trip we were all talking to each other having had a truly remarkable trip. Value for money 5/5.

Cruise arrived early. Meeting time was to be between 9:00am and 10:00am We arrived at the meeting place at 9:30. Tour bus had already left. Small van shuttled us to the bus, and we missed the beginning of the tour. We couldn't understand tour guide in the rear of the bus, and he didn't announce questions that were asked. Just answered and we did know the questions.

A little disappointed. It was supposed to be a tour in English. However, the guide narrated in both English and Spanish. As he spoke he would turn around. This made it almost impossible to hear what he was saying.

Sorry for the late review as we had a long trip… just got time sit down and review the tour. It was in Jan, was great. Our guide is Rod, very responsible and thoughtful and knowledgeable. Really worthy to take it to know about Montevideo and Uruguay culture. Great country, great people! After the tour still have some time for the city walk ( nice walking street by the port) and enjoy some market food ( market by the port too) I like the local tea pot culture:) bought many as souvenir:) Thank you Rod.
