This tour exceeded expectations and was much better than more expensive similar-format tours we took in Buenos Aires. The guide, Ricardo, is totally organized and used our time efficiently. The driver knew the plan as well. Ricardo switched seamlessly between English and Portugese for his six passengers. He weaved together history, architecture and storytelling. I’ve been on many 3-hour tours and this is the best one.

This small group tour around Montevideo was with Marcela and a driver. There were 12 of us in a minibus and had plenty of room.
The tour was great, Marcela had really good knowledge of the city and very enthusiastic about it. A great way to see the city.

Tricky to find from the cruise port. There are all kinds of excursions at the end of the pier. You have to go past them, across the road, past the gate then where all the flags are at the tourism office they will be. They never arrive before 10am so don't go early. The guide spoke perfect English and was knowledgeable. We hit quite a few highlights and quite a few stops to get off and take pics. Mini bus had good ac, clean and not too big. Glad we didn't take a ship excursion with the huge buses!

Our guide Andrea was fantastic. We were picked up at our airbnb which was nice but a 50 minute trip around the city to pick up other guests. I felt the sights we saw were not all that great/interesting and was hoping Montevideo had more sights to offer. I still don’t know. It would have been helpful if we could have chosen all English as it felt like we were missing a lot of information about the areas and the way they live because it was done in Spanish also which of course we are in a Spanish speaking country. It was a good value for the price for sure. It just left me a little disenchanted with Montevideo as a destination to see again. It would have been helpful to understand the vastness of the city and the areas as well. It’s just so big and I didn”t lleave the tour feeling as though I understood the city and where I may want to explore more more which is what I was hoping for.

The city is small and this is a nice tour that covers the highlights.
It was a hot day and that made it a bit challenging as we got out of the van a lot so keep that in mind when booking!

I had a great time on this tour and highly recommend it! We traveled by car to see all the major landmarks in Montevideo. We stopped at each location and I was able to get out to see the sight and take pictures. My tour guide was Marcela B. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She had a story for each stop, which helped me understand the background and culture of Uruguay. I highly recommend this tour and exploring with Marcela.

Contacted me the night before to confirm pick up times were
convenient for me, then sent his live location, so I could see his progress to meet me. The tour was amazing, in 4 hours we leisurely saw all the beautiful highlights this city has to offer. Gonzalo's exemplary knowledge on the history of this beautiful country, and also what it offers as a citizen was our non stop conversation. I learnt so much in such a short time, and I have to say when I retire and leave the UK, this city and country will be top of my list. If you're this way, make sure you look up Gonzalo Silvestre & this tour company ... first class

Great first day tour if you ask me you get a lot in, in a short amount of time the host was good at letting you know about history of Montevideo and was well versed on culture here and had lots of recommendations for food etc.

We had such a wonderful experience on our city center tour! Part of our group had taken this tour earlier in the year, however today’s tour was so much more fun and we saw many sites that we didn’t see on our first booking. Our guide Marcela B. was absolutely amazing—she was so knowledgeable and shared so much history and insight that really brought the city to life.
