This tour was apparently cancelled and nobody bothered to let us know. We are extremely disappointed and expect a full refund. This behavior is irresponsible and unacceptable.

EDITH! I know she already has so many positive reviews, but here is another: my husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. She taught us so much about the history and culture of Montevideo and Uruguay. She was thorough and personable and funny as well as patient and open to all kinds of questions. After seeing the buildings and plazas in the city we rode on The Rambla out to the lighthouse. She gave us the option and we chose to ride back—13 km total. Do not hesitate! We highly recommend that you book this tour!!

Total no show - no prior notice. I scheduled this tour and paid for it. I show up early and look everywhere for the tour at the designated meet location and no one‘s there. I tried to contact the local tour guide and no response. I contacted Viator and they said they had no notice of cancellation. Well…I wasted an Uber ride to the location, walking all around, looking for the place and wasted 90 minutes trying to figure this out. Turns out the local tour company that it was assigned to by Viator, never looked at the confirmed reservation. They said well the weather was going to be bad and there was going to be a storm, so they needed to cancel for safety because we would be on bicycles and we could slip.” Would have been great if somebody let me know prior to wasting all my time chasing a tour that was never to happen. Viator must have some type of confirmation system, where a local tour company they obviously sell the tour needs to acknowledge they fecieved and will be able to support/deliver on the services! I’m NOT happy and NOT using Viator again. Paul 🇺🇸

Great bike tour around parts of the city and down the front. I must have been lucky as I was the only person on the tour but they still went ahead with it and it was extremely enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it so enable you to see more of the city than walking.

The tour guide (Edith?) was very good and knew a lot about Montevideo. We started out by making short rides between stops and the bikes did ok. But then we started on a much longer ride along La Rambla to the light house and my bike could no longer keep up. I did not expect such a long ride on a bike that was not up to the task. She was wonderful and slowed down but I think some bike maintenance is needed.

My wife was unable to attend the tour has the bike was far too big for her although we sent her height prior to our trip. I must say our tour guide Edith was extremely helpful with myself has I also struggled with the bike ,, it was of poor quality extremely heavy & it totally spoiled our day.

guide was excellent and Montevideo was lovely, but bikes were old and no helmets offered, if we hadn't asked to go the the light house I don't think we would have needed bikes as everything was so close.

Excellent tour, you travel a good distance of 15-17km knowing many important places of Montevideo. I recommend that you check that the bikes work well before starting the tour so that they work all the way.

Nous avons fait un beau tour guidé. Edith, La guide était très bonne. , attentionnée à satisfaire les clients. Cependant, les explications étaient un peu longues. Pour ce qui est des vélos, ils étaient en mauvaises conditions. Les vitesses changeaient toute seule. De meilleures vélos seraient appréciés . Nous avons croisé un autre groupe qui avaient des dossards de sécurité et de bons vélos. Viator auraient avantage à changer de compagnie. Nous aurions apprécié nous rendre aux lettres de Montevideo comme il est montré sur la photo présentant le tour.
