Not only a wine experience but also a mini walking tour where we got to hear some of the interesting facts about Montepulciano. We met at the top and had two tastings; one at the top and one at the bottom. Was a little disappointed with this as we had to walk all the way back to the top to see things we had missed. (The ticket office to the shuttle bus was closed so that wasn’t an option for us)

Montepulciano was beautiful. Our tour guide Laura was excellent and gave us very good history and information about the city and surroundings
The wine cellars were very cool and would recommend
The rating would have been higher had the tasting experience been better. The first cellar tasting started out week then another larger group came I. And we were ignored. The second cellar was more interesting but the tasting was done standing up in the sales room.

the so called "tour" consisted of a short walk to two wine cellars and vine tastings there. The wine tastings are actually available for free so I consider this "Tour" a scam and intend to claim money back. the tour guide just led us to the cellar and then step aside. this is definitely not worth your time and money.

As you can read in the description the tour was a walk with a guide and includes the guided visit of 2 of the 8 historical cellars of Montepulciano with wine tasting.
The visit of the historical cellars of Montepulciano are free (not all) but you pay a tour and a guide for you for about 3 hours.
We are always sincere with our guests: they can visit the cellars independently (without a guide) or choose a guided tour.
You send us a refund request choosing the reason "the guide didn't show up": this is not true, because the guide was there, she accompanied you to the cellars and also made the guided visit of the centre.
However we are sorry that you didn't like this experience, we always try to do our best and this tour is a must for our agency!

Esperienza dedicata ai neofiti del vino ma comunque piacevole anche per gli appassionati un po' più esperti.
Unico neo a mio parere: rispetto alla durata totale della visita troppo poco tempo in cantina e a degustare (abbiamo visto 2 cantine) e troppo tempo speso al tragitto: avrebbe giovato una tappa (ancora meglio una visita in altra cantina) intermedia.

Bella esperienza, assolutamente consigliata.
Molto accogliente e gentile la nostra guida Laura. Della prima cantina ho apprezzato molto la location, meno l'assaggio di vini. Ho preferito la seconda cantina che abbiamo visitato, molto più coinvolgente.
Davvero contenta di aver partecipato.
