This wine tasting was amazing, we learned so much about wine and had a good variety (9 total) to taste. The snacks were also delicious, the cheese and meats were some of the best I've ever had! Great experience that made our day, highly recommend :)

We had a fantastic winetasting experience! Francesco was very knowledgeable and we learnt a fair bit about both the winedistrict and various types of wine. Francesco also let us taste a very good and varied selection of wines. Overall a great experience!

Fantastic. It was supposed to be 4 of us but ended up being 2 and Erica was very knowledgeable about the wines and gave great recommendations. I would highly recommend this place as a wine tasting in Tuscany, great wines, very intelligent, and great atmosphere with snack and water. 100/10. Lovely experience for me and my boyfriend.

The only thing greater than Francesco's knowledge may be his love of his craft. It was an event to savor. We drink wines from this region almost exclusively, and knew so little. He opened our eyes and our pallets. And the restaurant was amazing also. Take this wine tasting event, you will be happy!!!

Amazing wine tasting, great som, beautiful views! What more could you ask for?! We stayed for dinner and also enjoyed a beautiful meal with wine pairing. Highly recommend and will do it again.

Fantastic! Francesco Maramai offered a first class tasting of beautiful wines from smaller vineyards . He is very knowledgeable and also has a fantastic sense of humor. His English is wonderful. He does also own a wine club so there is a good natured pitch but it was totally no pressure. This all takes place in his restaurant in montepulciano downstairs in a bar area lined with bottles of wines. I say try this experience!

Incredible evening with Tassos! The tasting was held in a private level of Osteria del Borgo in Montepulciano. We were offered a lovely plate of local meats, cheeses, and bread in addition to our preference of sparking or still water, and 9 beautiful wines from the area. (Even some biscotti for the vinsanto!)
Tassos was knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly entertaining. Also very well traveled! You can tell he has a passion for the wines and culture of his area. I would recommend this tasting to anyone that just enjoys wine or if you need to study for higher education! I am taking my level 2 somm test soon and this was exceptional for my studies.

We are staying in Montepulcciano with our daughter, her husband and our 4 month-old granddaughter. We arrived to the tasting 10 minutes late but Tassos immediately made us feel welcome, helped us get settled, and even helped carry the stroller down the stairs. There was one other couple present, and once we were settled in, Tassos introduced us to the wonderful story of the region's wines. He provided a fascinating narrative of the region, the different terroirs and microclimates, and the impact these had on how the grapes were expressed differently in each wine we tasted. We started with one of the few whites from the region, a refreshing Lyra/Hydra blend, and an explanation of why the high acidity was a perfect refreshing wine after climbing the hills of Montepulciano. We then were provided an insider's tour of 6 variations of the might Sangiovese, learned the standards associated with the appelations of wine in the region (and how those standards could inhibit creativity), and finished with an Amarone and then a Vinsanto to close things off. The story of each wine was fascinating, and there was a story behind the story for each one. Tassos has a remarkable depth of knowledge about the wines, the regions and the people behind these wines, all shared in an informative and humorous way. This was the best wine tasting we have ever done - the setting is charming, the wines are delicious and Tassos is exceptional.

It was amazing surroundings, we had a nice snack during the time. Thassos was full of knowledge not only of many different sorts of wine, but of the area, production methods and so on. We were a small group of ten, and it was easy to ask questions.

A wonderful, intimate experience. Two couples, enchanted by our extremely knowledgeable, humurous and charming sommelier Tassos. Some of us did a lot of notes, some simply leaned back, drank and listened to the wonderful stories - and we all learned a loot about Tuscan wine. It was definitely an experience worth not only the money, but also the eternally short time spent travelling. We highly recommend it to anybody that likes authenticity, stories, and amazing wine explorations that stimulate the mind as well as the senses.

My friend and I booked this tasting last minute unsure what to expect and we were completely impressed. Tasos was our Sommelier for the day and he brought so much passion and knowledge to our tasting. We spent a good 2 hours in the beautifully cool cellar learning about 9 varieties of wine from the grapes to the soil to the weather and so much more that impacts a wine. We both loved learning so much and found Tasos extremely easy to follow. Afterwards we decided to make a booking on the terrace to enjoy a meal and Tasos made sure we had the perfect table. He helped us chose our meal and the right wine to accompany with it. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience and we will make a point of visiting again. Thank you so much to everyone involved for this experience. Truely 10/10

An extremely informative and engaging experience, explaining so much about the wines of Montepulciano and Tuscany. We came away with great knowledge and better understanding of the local businesses including the effect of climate change on this ancient wine region. Our sommelier concentrated on the taste of the wines (9 in all) and we were able to make good notes. This was far more engaging than wandering around vines and barrels. This was a genuinely great wine-tasting experience. These guys clearly know their wine and their passion is visible. The wines were all great—the education behind the varietals, labeling, bottling, and wine-making standards was really insightful. Delicious snacks were served with the tasting. We enjoyed it so much that we bought a case to send home and stayed to have dinner. The food at the restaurant was also exceptional!
