I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent booking experience for the Frida Kahlo Museum.
I specifically intended to purchase admission for "Sunday", as I was only visiting Mexico City through "Monday". I took care to select the correct date during the booking process. Unfortunately, I later discovered that my confirmed ticket reflected "Tuesday", making it impossible for me to attend before returning home.
I understand and respect that tickets are generally non-refundable. However, I was disappointed that there was no opportunity to correct what appears to have been an unintended booking discrepancy, especially given my travel schedule and the fact that I discovered the issue while already in Mexico.
As someone who values museums and cultural institutions, I believe experiences like this are opportunities to strengthen trust with visitors. A one-time accommodation, such as honoring the ticket on the intended day or offering a credit, would have made a significant difference and reflected the spirit of customer service that many travelers remember long after their visit.
While I was unable to experience the museum during this trip, I hope you will consider reviewing this situation and any opportunities to improve the booking process so future visitors can have greater confidence that the date they select is the date they receive.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate the important work your museum does in preserving Frida Kahlo's legacy, and I hope to visit on a future trip under better circumstances.

The experience was not appealing. I kept thinking the whole thing was a fraud because nobody would return my messages to let me know when I would get my tickets. Then, once I had them and showed up to the venue, they informed me that I paid to skip the line but that they don’t offer that service. How awful is that? I paid more for nothing more. But the customer service is so bad that I don’t want to go through it again. The only positive was we did find tickets.

Do not book with aviator they change the time and we could not come ind to see Frida Kahlos home. They cheat foreigners with overprice. I tried to call they did not answer
Tim_L, Jun 2026
Skip the line doesntmean skip the line. The line was as long to get in as the other line. Full scam.

The ticketing process was completely frustrating. No communication from operator. Viator failed badly here

I booked this experience for a 3pm timeslot. Emailed tickets were for 4:15pm. I attempted to contact the company three times over the chat option with no response. I also called the company phone number and there was no answer. Viator representative also reached out twice with no response. Viator eventually received an email back from company that the 3pm slot had sold out. I had friends that purchased the same experience after I had and received an earlier time slot. As advised from Viator, I arrived to the museum at the 3pm timeslot and was turned away. Unfortunately, I was flying out that same evening and could not make the later time work with my schedule. I was unable to attend the experience and spent a large portion of the day trying to get in contact with this company. Will be requesting a refund for this purchase.

I booked my reservation several weeks in advance specifically to secure tickets and an early time slot, knowing that the museum often sells out. Unfortunately, my reservation was canceled the day before my visit without any explanation. I later saw that there was an email attempting to move my reservation from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but I was traveling throughout Mexico City and did not see it in time.
Thankfully, I was able to rebook, but the new reservation ended up being for 5:00 PM instead of 4:30 PM. Since the museum closes at 6:00 PM, this only gave us about an hour to experience the museum, which made the visit feel rushed and incomplete. We had planned our day around our original 10:30 AM reservation and were disappointed that we were unable to keep the time slot we booked well in advance.
I understand that schedule changes can happen, but I would have appreciated a clearer explanation and better accommodation, especially given how far in advance the reservation was made

This is a total SCAM, we wasn't able to get our tickets, we wasn't able to get in. The code was only a receipt, besides that never answer by watsup

if i receive my refund for my initial reservation i’ll be less disappointed. it was a huge hassle and communicating with viator and the tour operator
( L & D?) was frustrating & unhelpful. they did not send me the tickets i purchased back in April and then they CANCELLED my reservation the day before the event. i purchased new tickets . waiting for my refund still, we’ll see. and there was NO skip the line. we were told that doesn’t exist st casa azul…even though i paid extra for it.

You hear and see so much about Frida Kahlo's life and the blue house that when I got there I was a bit underwhelmed. I guess all the hype got to me. I actually enjoyed the courtyards. They are beautiful and interesting.

The Frida Kahlo experience was wonderful.
My experience with Viator was not.
There is not such thing as a skip the line option, so don't bother wasting your money with this option via Viator.
We had booked a 2pm ticket, they issued 3:30pm tickets without notice. this in turn conflicted with other plans. There was no remedying this.
Victor_C, May 2026
Travelled should know that it is not uncommon for the tour operator to cancel your timed entrance ticket without explanation. Very frustrating. Our morning 10am ticket entry was inexplicably cancelled 1 hour before. They refunded us but we had to scramble to find another time that day. We got a 4:00 pm ticket. But at 3:45, we received a message that our actual ticket time was 4:15, not 4:00pm. Thankfully we had time during our short visit to reschedule that afternoon. I was also a little disappointed that there were not more works of Frida Kahlo on display.
Camino_D, May 2026
They tell you that you will skip the line with their ticket, however, when you arrive to the Frida Kahlo entrance, they tell you that there is no fast line. So it’s not true!
And I booked for 4:30pm (15 min allowance) but in the ticket they sent me it was booked for 4:15pm. So when I arrived I was not able to enter. Worst experience! I don’t recommend it!!!
Ricardo_M, May 2026
It took me two hours to get there because the traffic in Mexico city is chaotic. I arrived 1 hour late and they didt let me in because my ticket expired 15 minutes after the hour. I lost my money plus the whole afternoon going there for nothing and Viator said no refunds. Very sad experience.
Betty_K, May 2026
There is no such thing as “skip the line”. Also, was supposed to be 4::30 which was written in the email with the tickets. When we opened tickets the time was 4:45. So we had to wait in line anyway. But the museum and the neighborhood are fantastic!
Nathan_S, May 2026
There is no skip the line option for this experience you will have to wait in line with everyone else. Also ordered 4 tickets for one particular time and was given 2 tickets 15 mins before set time and 2 tickets 15 minutes after set time. Would only pick this option as a last resort. Book through the official website and do not pay for these overpriced scalped tickets.
Marlane_P, May 2026
Do not use Viator! Nowhere did they indicate the tickets were only valid for 15 minutes. We showed up 20 minutes after our call-time due to a downpour and were refused entry. Viator’s emails said our museum time was valid for 30 minutes to 3 hours, which I interpreted as meaning we could arrive later than the actual call-time. The museum was sold out for the day so we sadly had to walk away.
Jennifer_S, May 2026
Do not book this on Viator. We were scammed as the tickets did not work at the museum. We were denied entry and tickets were sold out. We flew to Mexico City for this experience and were turned away and out $$$. Be sure to book directly through the Frida Khalo museum on their website!
Elias_S, Apr 2026
I purchased this to go to the Frida Kahlo museum, but when I arrived the ticket did not allow entry into the museum. I messaged the provider about the issue and did not recieve a response. Save your money
Arella_T, Apr 2026
It’s not a skip the line ticket! In fact the entry time was 15 min later than what our booking indicated on viator.
The museum itself was very cool and totally worth a visit.
Molly_S, Apr 2026
Nice way to round out an understanding of Frida Kahlo if one also goes to the modern art gallery in Mexico City. The Viator process was a little difficult for securing the actual tickets. I ended up in a blind loop between emails and the app, but eventually secured the tickets.
douglas_g, Apr 2026
The “skip the line” concept is a myth, but the staff is on top of getting each group( in 15 min increments) set up and progressed through the space quickly.
The Frida Kahlo house itself is fantastic… well layed out with a substantial amount of pictures and information of her life.
Dayna_k, Apr 2026
AWFUL! A complete scam. The museum does not offer any skip the line so that was a totally lie. We had to wait in line then they said our tickets had already been scanned and denied us entry. We tried to get in touch with the tour company numerous times and ways with no success. We did not get to see the museum and it was the worst experience.
Beatriz_U, Apr 2026
A must is México City! So much history, everything you ever wanted and need to know about this amazing artist Frida & Diego. Lastly everything was so well-organized!
Maria_S, Apr 2026
Worst experience! My tickets were previously scanned by someone else as it was oversold on this site. Please purchase directly from The Frida Kahlo website.
Eric_M, Apr 2026
Requesting a full refund. They did not allow us to skip the line and after waiting in a long line they did not let us in.
Jullion_C, Apr 2026
BUY TICKETS WITH Casa Azul WEBSITE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE --- La Casa Azul is an experience everyone should see so no issue there. I already knew that it's best to buy tickets online. Tried three weeks ahead but they were sold out. The issue here is false advertising. And of course they are double the original price with NO skipping privileges. Multiple people have said this. It's true. I only bought these as a last resort and you should too.
JUAN_R, Apr 2026
Great and fast service I will recomend others to visit Frida’s house, lots of arts made by her and the husband
Alicia_J, Apr 2026
I don’t see why I paid for “skip the line”… first off, the lines are pretty short and separated by time of reservation in 15 minute increments. I had reserved for 4 PM and still somehow once I got my ticket, which was also very confusing, my time changed to 4:15pm. Nothing was mentioned about skipping a line of any sort. I stood online behind maybe 10 people and there was possibly 12 in our group that went in at the same time. Not sure if the tickets are cheaper without the “skip the line” option, but I’d for sure not pay for that next time. The Frida Kahlo Blue House was amazing and I would for sure go again
