Best zoo trip ever! Really friendly and helpful staff. Amazing animals and environment. It was a cross between a safari and a zoo. The open range experience was fabulous and the tram went out of their way to ensure my mum in her wheelchair could partipate and have a great view. Animals were obviously very well cared for and lots of them in amazing environments. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and spent time talking with us. An amazing day and would highly recommend!

Watching our grandchildren enjoy the day - Safari Bus tour was a great highlight, while our 3 year old granddaughter loved the Rhinos and Giraffes, our 8 month old granddaughter giggled when the bus went over a few bumps!

Great zoo. Mostly enjoyed the bus ride through the open range. Seeing the animals up close and personal in a simulated natural environment was awesome. The narrator was very knowledgeable and invested.

The whole experience , the staff were engaging and informative and helpful .. the safari trip was exactly what I wanted ..no cages .. take your kids on the bus , it was a wonderful interactive experience , and gorillas never dissapoint

Definitely recommend the wild safari add-on. Guide was so nice and knowledgeable about the animals we saw. Great for kids to be entertained all day.

Was very busy, but the buses were organised quickly and did the tour around the plains. Then walked through the tracks, and saw other animals. If nit hadn’t been so windy the day I went, it would have been perfect.

We had a great time at Werribee Zoo. Well thought out display and lots for the kids to do. They make a real effort with biodegradable products too. The enclosures are large and roomy and it feels like the animals are well taken care of!

We enjoyed the safari bus. The man explaining the wallabies was good, the gorilla was magnificent, the rhinoceros were gorgeous, the hippopotamus were impressive. The weather was great. We waited 45 minutes for the safari bus as there was a very large crowd. It would have been better if it had been a shorter wait. We were told that the ostriches were blocking the bus and that was the reason for the delay.

A great day out with the family, the kids loved seeing all the animals they had never seen before. The gift shop has a wide range of plush toy animals & other gifts to choose from to remember from the zoo. Get out there!

The hippos were entertaining and we were lucky one of them came out of the water when we were there. The tour guide for the safari ride was very knowledgeable and we saw plenty of the animals close up. Our favorite photo was with the baby zebras. Thank you! It was definitely worth the trip from Melbourne.
