I recently did a 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with Africa Tours Marrakech, and I have to give a massive shoutout to our guide Younes — an absolute gem of a human being.
I was in Morocco not just for travel but also to film some scenes for a movie in the desert, and Younes made it happen seamlessly. He found discreet, stunning locations away from other tourists and handled everything with care, patience, and professionalism.
Beyond that, he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and thoughtful — always checking in to make sure I was comfortable, going above and beyond in every possible way. He even made sure I had a premium room at the desert camp, which was a real highlight. You could feel that he genuinely cared — and that’s rare.
If you’re heading to Morocco and planning a desert tour, don’t even think twice — book with Africa Tours Marrakech. I’m dead serious: they’re phenomenal. This wasn’t just a tour, it was an experience I’ll never forget.
Younes, thank you for everything. 5 stars doesn’t even come close — you deserve all the stars in the universe. Chokram my brother!!!

Well organised tour, it's a lot of miles to cover and we got to see a very broad range of what Morocco has to offer.
The bus modern and comfortable. Our tour guide Yusuf was amazing, the Greeks kept him on his toes because they didn't know the meaning of social anxiety but hew was very much up for a laugh. The hotel was modern, had a pool and a bar. The camp and a bit basic but it's a camp so I wasn't expecting miracles in the Sahara. It had running water, hot showers, real toilets (not a given in Africa if you're not a fan of squatting). The food was good if you love tagine and the lunches were all 120 Durum for a set meal. Plenty of breaks for coffee and photos in picturesque locations. The camel ride was ace, we rode to and from the camp (1h each time) though there was an option for a quad bike on the way back instead for about €40. The camel guide, Barak (or something like that because he made the president joke), was nice, tok loads of photos and was good company. The dune boards were ok, most had missing leg straps that made it difficult and they could have put some boards on the side of the hill so you don't have to track up a soft sandwich hill every time which was exhausting but it's not a deal beaker, just nitpicking a cheap solution. The local guides were very informative and passionate, much better than walking around by yourself because there's so much history. For what we paid it was very much worth the money, I'd recommend it to anyone going to Marrakech, probably our highlight of the stay there.

What a fantastic trip this was, the value for money was incredible, the desert camping experience with 2 hour camel ride each way was incredible. The only negatives are, the designated food stops that are not included in the price are hugely overpriced for tourists, the guide tried hard to force us to eat at these tourist restaurants, fortunately we left the group and found local cafes that cost around half the price or less.
The other negative is that our driver/guide gave zero information about the places we visited, however he was a very professional driver. Overall I was very satisfied and would recommend to your but be aware there’s tourist traps
