Our Guide Ayoub did a really good job, and showed us around the desert.
I would recommend to book the luxury package. In our budget friendly package, the rooms in the desert were cold and the food was not really good.
But the first hostel was really good and the staff was friendly.

A brilliant tour with the best driver and tour guide in the world Murad. He was always in good humour, chose great music for the trip and took us to some excellent cafe spots for food and drinks. He drove safely and brilliantly and was approachable at all times willing to fix any problems. A must recommend for all who want to see the wonderful Sahara sights!

there were many things wrong with this trip. First, the tour guide is also the driver. Our driver did not announce or explain the significance of any of our stops other than the very first one. Although I booked this tour in English, we were in the same van as other guests who only spoke Spanish or Portuguese, and the driver was not able to translate anything for them. The whole tour was incredibly disorganized, chaotic, and rushed. When I pointed out that we had missed several of our stops, I was told not to worry about it. When I contacted the tour agency about it as the trip was ending on the third day, they tried to deny everything at first, but then offered to take me back out into the desert to revisit those spots or provide airport transfer (i was leaving the next day and did not have time to go back). here is a more detailed breakdown of what went wrong:
- did not see kasbah taouririte in ourzazate, as advertised in the itinerary
- did not see the valley of roses, as advertised in the itinerary
- did not see tafilalet/rissani, as advertised in the itinerary
- driver was 20 minutes late to pick us up
- driver was in a small car crash on day 2 and was stopped 2 different times by the police for 20 minutes each
- while in the luxury tent, the electricity was not working and there was no water for the shower
- for sandboarding, there were 40 people sharing 1 single snowboard. everyone only got 1 turn to go down the dune
- on the first day, the driver told us we had to pay a mandatory tip. it was only a small fee, but we should have had the choice of how much money, if any, to pay

What we did was good but it was so disorganized and very unclear communication creating a lot of wasted time
First morning we get to early so we meet the guide at 730 but all they did was take us to another spot less than 1km away (closer to our riad) to just sit and wait for others to join. We didn't leave until 820. Why did they make us meet them at 730? We could've enjoyed a nice breakfast at our riad before we left (breakfasts don't start until 730).
The first night we were dropped off at a hotel different from the rest of the group first and were told we'd be picked up the next morning 830am. We planned our morning that way and looked first to enjoying a relaxing breakfast at a hotel that we paid a bit more for. Then the driver turns up 740! They kept telling us time change, but it was not 830 even with the time change. We had to rush everything and couldn't enjoy our breakfast and also wasted the time of all the others who stayed in a different hotel who had to wait for us.
For the evening it was again chaotic and was so delayed to get on the camels, we missed the sunset.
There was no sand boarding offered even though it was included.
The lunch spots they brought us all only offered the same set menu, can't do ala carte so you spend more than you need.
Each day you never knew when or where we're stopping, what we're doing.
The driver told us to wear seat belts only when he knew there would be police. Everyone should wear seatbelts all the time especially in Morocco where the roads are unsafe and many do dangerous overtaking.

Our guide Abdul was very knowledgeable about everything and the trip was amazing! Thank you for the organization! Perfect trip to the desert with the camel! Only the first hotel could be better

Wouldn't recommend as our driver was awful and not accommodating. At every stop we were rushed to get back into the mini van, not enjoyable at all.

The tour was good with all the amazing and stunning views. Our tour guide, Mossif, is very entertaining, making the long hour drive not boring at all!

It was such a great experience, learning about the culture, but also the beautiful dessert with the sun going down, the stars at the night sky, dancing with the locals and other visitors and to wake up with the sunrise.. Good luxery tents hot water at the shower.. I really recomment to do this and to enjoy the memorable experience..

We had a great experience, all the stops were amazing and everyone was welcoming and kind. Our driver was super helpful, even landed us some cash when we run out (we paid it back of course at the next ATM :D )
The drive is long from Marrakech to Nazouga, but the view totally worths it.

Pick up was on time. Everything as described. Amazing places to see on the way and Sahara is such a memorable experience. We enjoyed it. Thank you for this tour.
Some things to note: When we arrived to the desert there was a problem with the camels, they didn’t have enough for our group. Our tour group was separated. We lost time waiting for the camels and missed golden hour, started the camel ride 40 min before the sunset. But for this inconvenience we were upgraded on accommodation so no complain.
Bus was a bit old, on my seat I couldn’t use the belt. Our driver didn’t tell us any information on the road (I read in reviews it was opposite for others).

Fantastic experience to explore the sahara dessert, with great sceneries throughout the journey. Camel trek, jeep ride, gorgeous sunset, starry nights, amazing sunrise, etc. are great memories. Youssef is a friendly and informative guide. The only negative is the portion of dinner and breakfast is a little bit small, and the lunch stops are exceedingly overpriced (but you can leave the group to go for restaurants nearby for food with price less than half).

I don’t put a five not for the experience because it was unique, the truth has been an amazing trip, I read a lot before going and not at all the trip was long because we stopped in many places and the driver Auyuob was very good and made everything very enjoyable. As for the agency which is why I put a 4 that I would even put a 3 I will explain, we have traveled with 20 people, they had all paid up to less than us, rather less and when I hired him the only thing I was interested in was having a good room and air conditioning so I hired him, we arrived to the first village where you sleep before you reach the desert, I imagining that we were going to a great hotel already on the doorstep did not even want to enter, I wrote to the one of the agency and instead of writing to me the owner of the hotel that poor man was so friendly and so careful that we were okay that well I decided to stay and try to enjoy because at least this if I had air conditioning and it was going to be one night and the boy and the gentleman made us games, we played batuada and laughed a lot so the hotel was quite humble but sincerely they made us very well.
Quite the opposite happened when we arrived in the desert, it should be said that we were 43 degrees according to our phone and had more than 20 minutes sincerely waiting for them to ask us since we wanted to pay for a few quad bikes and not be an hour and a half on a camel because if we did it like this then the camel was going to enjoy it the next day. Well they were attended by a guy who was never kind to us rather scared us, we told him that we wanted 2 quads to go 2 couples and said ok well come on but they are 90 per couple and included us half an hour of board with a single board, the 4x4 and a visit to a nomadic village to see sunrise. The experience was a great one, I recommend it 100%. When we got to the jaimas there if I almost died, they were quite precarious, without air, 5 beds per jaima and there were 2 of us per jaima and of course my friends and I did not want to be there in a jaima at 50 degrees having paid for an improved room with air. Nobody listened to us, we even went to other hotels to pay for the night but they didn't want conflict so I wrote to the agency and the boy came first that we were afraid of and all he said was ... life is like a cow, one day it gives milk and other shit so with that I tell you everything and how good if we wanted air we had to leave the dunes and they took us to a hotel was better and airy, but we had taken 1 hour to get there and if we left and they took us outside the dunes and it was worse??? One hour to go and another to come back... no! so nothing else we settled and tried to enjoy at last the few hours that one is there and that should be fantastic because it is a very long and good trip... dinner we did not like although they were very friendly but it was dry and burned and the party was beautiful around the bonfire!! I would have stayed out there sleeping with the stars and the cool. Maybe we should have!
We got to the jaima, that was an oven and there was only one window and no mosquito net and we had already found cockroaches in the jaima but you could not be people slept with the door open, if you tried to shower it was a hot small splash 🔥 a painting , it never entered fresh ever!!!!!
So nothing, we slept nothing zero and also scared by the bugs and noises that was quite a concert. So without sleeping at 5:30 we had breakfast at 6 we saw sunrise and there everything started to improve, we took the camels and arrived in the village, it was a walk full of laughter and perfect to forget that night and we already started our journey, we only made 3 perfect stops and arrived in Marrakech. I hope I can help with this review because if or if and according to time of year please look well at the accommodations and especially air because for example in the village where the first day sleeps, no hotel is pretty because we consulted everyone and none said what was nice. They are certainly humble and very friendly and that makes them look much better.

On behalf of Marrakech City Travel, we appreciate your feedback!
Regarding your concerns, the guide is not included in the tour, as clearly stated in the trip details. The driver’s role is to focus on driving and assist travelers when needed, but not to serve as a guide.
We understand your disappointment about not visiting Kasbah Taourirte, but it was closed at the time, which was beyond our control. Additionally, activities like 4x4 rides and quad biking are optional extras that you chose to book on-site and are not part of our standard tour package.
As for the luxury camp, we acknowledge that it may not have met your expectations. However, please keep in mind that it is located in the desert, where accommodations differ from city hotels. It offers the best possible comfort in such a remote setting.
Thank you for your understanding!

Response from Host, Mar 2025
leonardo_r, Feb 2025
Tutto perfetto
Autista molto corretto,gentile e premuroso
Una esperienza da fare
Cammellata molto simpatica
