Excellent tour with Abdel

Our private tour with Abdel to Aït Benhaddou, Atlas Studios, and Ouarzazate via the Atlas Mountains was exceptional and easily one of the highlights of our time in Morocco. From the moment we were picked up, everything felt effortless. The car was spotlessly clean, modern, and extremely comfortable, making the long and scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains genuinely enjoyable. Abdel drove smoothly and safely throughout the day, and we felt completely relaxed. What truly set Abdel apart was his deep insight into Moroccan life, culture, and history. He shared thoughtful perspectives on daily life, local traditions, and the regions we passed through, which added real depth to the journey. His explanations at Aït Benhaddou were especially engaging and brought the history of the site to life. Abdel was courteous, flexible, and incredibly accommodating. He was always happy to adjust the pace, suggested excellent photo stops, and kindly helped take photos for us, making sure we captured the best moments without ever feeling rushed. The day was perfectly organised, personal, and seamless from start to finish. If you are considering a private tour to Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, do not hesitate to book with Abdel. We would absolutely tour with him again.

Excellent Tour

Wonderful trip! Our driver Ayub picked us up from our hotel. He is an excellent driver especially on the windy roads and took time to show us sites on the way and answered all our questions. We were met by our guide Hassan in Ait Ben Haddou and he was excellent. He is very knowlegable and took us around the site. We had lunch at a hotel which over looked Ait Ben Haddou and the food there was delicious. We didn't have time to tour Studio but were able to see the Kasbah. Would highly recomment this to anyone!

Terrible Experience

I had a series of bad experiences on this tour. The pickup didn't go well because the driver didn't have my name (or any names) on a list so we couldn't confirm I was supposed to go in his van at first. He refused to call anyone to confirm, and left without me (though came back later). When I finally did get in his van, he stopped five minutes later to shuffle me to another van. It seemed I was just being thrown in with another tour group. When we finally got to Ait Ben Haddou, the place was wonderful. However, we wasted half our time "having tea" with locals who were trying to sell us carpets. Then, after the tour, the guide said there was a fee for his tour (not disclosed in the tour description from what I remember) plus we should tip him. At the next stop, Ouarzazate, we only went down one alleyway before the guide took us to yet another shop to get tea while people tried to sell us carpets. We barely saw any of the city that we came to see. By the time we got to Atlas Studios, almost none of us wanted to take the tour (also a separate fee) because we were convinced it would be disappointing. Also, the tour was advertised as 11-12 hours, but it was 15 hours (from when I left the hotel to when I was dropped off). I can handle a long tour, but not one with many issues. I did enjoy seeing Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, and I would recommend other people see them. I just suggest doing it with another company, and making sure they actually operate the tour instead of throwing you in with a group that does the bare minimum, and constantly sticks you in tourist traps.

After investigating the operation, the driver was on a date, but you don't want the bus to get up after several attempts. To indicate a common this excursion with the shared group and that's normal to pick up another person from different hotels and riad the group. To point out, our buses are very comfortable and have professional drivers. For excursions, the duration depends on the road. Because the safety and comfort of the customers are very important to us. Great experience. Long bus ride but worth it. Mohammed our driver was fantastic, as was our local guide in Ait Ben Haddou. Beautiful and unique place. We also choose to visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate afterwards (while other guests chose to go into the city and look st a second Kasbah for a few hours) and it was fantastic to tour around giant movie sets, and definitely a choice we didn’t regret!

Long journey worth it

The is a must do film fans and of Game of Thrones. The site is amazing to see. The only drawback is that it is a very long journey but you do get to enjoy the beauty of the Atlas mountains if you get a clear sunny day. Also, the guide wasn't really a guide but more a driver. He didn't really talk much and certainly didn't give us any information or plan of the day.
