The tour didn’t go as described. We went swimming and the hike was a 1h walk/stroll. We also tried fishing.
Seeing the Rio Negro and swimming in it was great.
Confirming the pick up time and place one day before was difficult. When we asked they said 8 am and then the tour guide told us via whatsapp that it was 7.30 am. We did not see much of the Anavilhanas just the beginning.
The tour was ok though. We saw lots of water birds, tucans, and a sloth. We also saw sqirrel monkeys and the tour guide fed them Bananas. Seemed like the monkeys were fed before but I don’t know for certain.
The guide did know a lot about plants and animals and hisEnglish was good.
The lunch food was good.

I absolutely loved this tour! The river was beautiful, the lunch was great and fresh! I learned a lot about how to survive in the forest and I tasted the fresh water of the Negro River! Francisco and the other guides were so kind and funny!! Im from the U.S and i felt safe and comfortable. Will definitely recommend!

My husband and I came to Manaus for portion of our honeymoon and were so impressed with the quality of this Amazon Jungle tour. We spent hours researching in advance of our trip to try to pick the best one, since we only had 1 full day to explore and this one did Not disappoint!! The Tour felt like a perfect pace, and we loved the boat as the primary method of transportation. Really felt like you were emerged in the Rainforest. We also saw tons of wildlife - piranhas, pink dolphins, birds, insects, and monkeys! Last note of caution -- Long Pants and Long Sleeves were Critical for the hiking portion (the mosquitos can even get through your clothes or leggings so layer up because you can always take off later).

It is hard to rate this tour since we received a 4-hour tour instead of the 8-hour tour we booked. There were problems with our pick-up at the port and there was no jungle trek. The boat ride along the Rio Negro to the Anavilhanas Archipelago was interesting.

A wonderful day with Francisco and Paulo inspite of very heavy rain. Saw a great variety of wildlife - the best meal of our 3 week trip was prepared by Paulo and his wife at their home on stilts just off the river. Francisco was great fun, helpful at all times and made sure that we had a great experience

For the price of this tour this is definitely not worth it. Too much time spent riding in a car and boat seeing nothing. Just take the river tour instead.

Picked me up from my hotel in the morning (7:30am) and dropped me off afterwards (6pm). The tour guide spoke English and was able to translate Portuguese to me whenever necessary. Great value for the full day experience! We got to see lots of birds, squirrel monkeys, dolphins, and did piranha fishing at the end of the day. Meeting the squirrel monkeys up close was definitely a highlight! Bottled water was provided throughout the trip and the lunch was great too. I wish I had brought a long sleeve shirt and cap for the boat ride since it was a couple hours under the hot sun!

The tour guide (Francisco) was amazing and we had a really great time going into the rainforest, fishing, seeing dolphins, birds and learning about the wildlife and the medicinal properties.
The food was delicious and catered for all (veg and non veg).
The boat driver was amazing too. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

If you are looking for a day trip to the Amazon rail forest, I highly recommend this tour. I did extensive research before my trip and selected this particular tour and I was not disappointed.
Francisco was our guide and he not only has a lot of knowledge but I could see that he was passionate about his job. From the facts about plants to taking us close to see the animals, he was excellent. He made small toys out of palm leaves that my 5 yr old daughter enjoyed. My daughter does not eat fish and they took the extra care of having chicken sausages for her lunch. Lunch was fantastic and made from scratch to give you the feel of the jungle.

Caught a piranha, had lots of interactions with monkeys, swam in the rio negro. So many amazing things packed into one day! Didn’t feel rushed and the guides were great. Highly recommend it for anyone has a day to spare in Manaus.

Nothing but satisfaction. Saw monkeys, dolphins, an alligator, tons of birds, even caught a piranha. The guides were incredibly friendly. The lunch was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing. Truly a memorable experience. Daniel and the other 2 guides made this experience the best. The lunch at the river house was excellent. Best fish I’ve ever eaten. There was trekking, boating, fishing and swimming! We had perfect weather. I know that I only saw a small portion of the Amazon, which I never expected to see, so this is a memory to treasure. For future participants, one bit of advice: bring a small cushion to sit on when in the boat!

Francisco was absolutely fantastic! So nice, funny, listening my demands, giving advices and has a good knowledge of the Amazonia. No tourist at all in this tour so you feel like you are alone in the jungle. We saw many animals! I really enjoyed, this was once of a lifetime moment ! We sailed into Manaus, Brazil on a cruise ship and could only observe the Amazon jungle from afar as the river is incredibly wide. Understanding that would be the case beforehand we sought to find an excursion that would give us an ‘authentic’ experience, including a trek in the Amazon jungle and an opportunity to experience local life. This excursion was a perfect choice! Our guide was wonderful in all respects....he had a good command of English, was courteous and helpful, he displayed an excellent sense of humor, and he went above and beyond to make every minute of our 8 hours an adventure to remember! We got to meet an indigenous tribe and was guided in the jungle by one of their members (with our own guide as translator). We learned all about the flora and fauna (from the poisonous to the edible). We had a delightful sail through the beautiful Anavilhanas Archipelago and through other local rivers, inlets and lakes with our guide explaining all that we were seeing. We ate lunch at a small floating restaurant and were treated to delicious fresh fish caught in the waters and native vegetable dishes and locally grown fruits. Our guide and the owner of the restaurant attracted the pink dolphins right up to the restaurant so we could have a close up view and get great pictures. I could go on and on but, bottom line, if you book this excursion you’re in for a real treat. Our friends, who rounded out the six of us, couldn’t stop thanking me for arranging this.

Went into Amazon Jungle with ex-military guide who explained the trees, plants, how to survive in forest, how to catch the bird or animal and what to watch out for. Well worth the experience. we went to Rio Nigro to Amazon river. Feed the Monkey with Banana. Amazon River & Jungle - it is one of 7 new wonders of the world. Average width of Amazon river during June /July is 25 Miles. In October, it is about 10 to 15 miles.

One of the best walks I've ever done in my life! The driver Moises and the guide Paulo were spectacular! They explained everything, with great knowledge, and the lunch was wonderful too, with local food. I highly recommend!

Vom Hotel abgeholt ging es direkt auf der AM-070 zum Sammelplatz unter der Bücke am Rio Ariaú. Von dort mit dem motorisierten Boot weiter bis zum Ende am Roo Negro. Dort konnte man die kleinen Inselgruppen nicht sehen, weil es derzeit viel brennt und es zuviel Rauch gibt. Das hätte vorher mitgeteilt werden müssen, da diese Inselgruppe das Anavilhanas wunderschön ist. Dann tolles Mittagessen, Besuch des Samaumeira- Baums, ein Dschungelpfadgang von leider nur einer Stunde, aber sehr lehrreich und gut erklärt. Piranhaangeln war dann auf dem Rückweg zum Parkplatz die letzte Aktivität.
