We travelled in a comfortable coach & visited a huge market at Sineu which had lots of clothes but also food and artisan work.
We then headed to Port de Pollença for a boat to Formentor & spent time in the gorgeous sandy beach & calm clear sea.
On the way back by coach we stopped at Mirador de Es Colomar for a stunning view. We really enjoyed the day.

Thank you so much, Nicola 🌴✨ We’re thrilled you enjoyed our Formentor with Boat Trip + Local Market excursion! It’s one of our favourites too — combining the lively Sineu market, a scenic boat ride from Port de Pollença, relaxation on the beautiful Formentor Beach, and the breathtaking views from Mirador de Es Colomer.
At Nofrills Excursions, with over 20 years of experience, we love creating well-organised tours that blend authentic local life with Mallorca’s most stunning landscapes. We’re so glad you had a great day and hope to welcome you again soon! 🚤🌞

Pick up was on time and organised for a change, guide had a list of names who he was expecting to get on. This is a coach that seats about 80 people so not small or intimate, not that this is bad. The first leg is quite a long drive so may want drink or snacks etc. The market Alcudia was great, so much to see but I would say not enough time here - you could do at least 4 hours here on it's own! Make sure you know where the coach is and what times to be back at it, use your phone map to drop a pin for location. Don't underestimate how long it will take to get back to the coach. After most departures to move on the guide seemed to count the people on the coach and we didn't have any missing people; not sure if it would wait if someone was missing. The guide speaks on the microphone on the coach in French and English on my trip. The beach part was longer than expected but very good all the same, the coach drops off and its a short walk to the beach. Dont run ahead as the guide explains that you meet at the central beach rather than the coach afterwards. We were given a green ticket for the boat although it wasn't clear that the boat goes from this beach - I assumed we would get back on the coach and drive to the boat. I also assumed that the boat was a trip around the bay and back but it's not it just goes one way and you get off - there are a few different coach parties on the boat. Meanwhile the coach has driven round to the where the boat drops you off. As it isn't a return trip, you want to sit on the right hand side of the boat to see the more interesting views. I think it's weather dependent but if you don't do the boat part it's really not a big deal. Lastly a final stop (as a surprise) on the way back, nothing too great but a nice touch anyway but not enough time - take some spare change as you may be able to buy some gifts here. Toilets - not one on the coach so you can go at the market in a cafe / bar and then at the beach in the central point. No other toilet options so if you skip the toilet at the market i would certainly go at the beach. at the beach you can turn right and can only walk about 10 mins max before the water stops you going further, or left where you can get much further, but take note how far you've gone and allow the correct time to walk back. of course if you're just sitting on breach and not exploring this won't matter. A long day but I'd say worth it if you weren't planning on going to these places anyway.

The boat trip to cape de tormentor was magnificent. Very disappointed that we did not stop in the mountains to take photos. Tour v disorganised at end with people changing buses in a lot outside Palma. Travelling with my elderly mother made this quite upsetting as we were concerned at the last minute change. Also there was confusion over meeting points and time for the tour which resulted in the on cost of taxis from our hotel to the pick up point. Tour guide was good. But not left with a positive experience.

I was first time in Palma Mallorca. And I choose this experience by Viator. I was surprised how it was nice trip by coach. Everything was organised. Thank you .
Hannah_B, May 2022
I was very disappointed in this experience because they never showed up. We waited for the coach for over an hour & they never showed. What's more, they were very incommunicative and would not even admit their own mistake which means Viator won't grant us a refund.
They maintain that they passed our hotel and that we weren't there, but we were there since before the agreed pick-up time. We also had airport transfer booked with the same coach company (TransUnion) and was successfully picked-up from/dropped-off at the right place. Therefore, we didn't get the pick-up place wrong. No Frills Excursion got the location wrong and refuse to admit it. We even asked the reception staff where pickups usually happen and they directed us to the correct location. So we were definitely not in the wrong, but we are still not being refunding.
We were relying on this tour to help us see the island in a short time as we didn't have long in Mallorca, but since they didn't show, we weren't able to explore the north of the Island at all which was a shame.
Please don't waste your money. Looking at the other reviews, we are not the first ones who experienced this. There are other tours and day-trips to choose from. We recommend the Glass-water boat tours!!

Hi
We are sorry but we totally disagree on your statement, and so does viator which is the page where you booked. At no point you booked directly with us.
The bus 512 was there at the right place, and even other clients got on the bus. It is difficult to explain how you didn’t get on the bus and other clients who had the same information got on the bus.
You mention other reviews, and we want to remind you that at the time of booking you accept the booking conditions which are very clear. If you are not at the designated place and at the designated time, it is a noshow, and they charge you. Once again I remind you you didn’t book directly with us so you are subjected to the conditions and terms of the page where you booked.
thanks

Half of the tour was skipped, no Alcudia market visited (probably because of the Spanish National Day, but no information given about it!!).
Instead of an air-conditioned coach we have got an open sightseeing bus, without windows, when outside were 16 degrees. Even with proper clothing we were freezing and was awful to stay on that vehicle.
The guide did not provide any extra information which one cannot read on tripadvisor or wikitravel, he was not welcoming or informative.
Our advice: take the regular bus from Alcudia to Mirador És Colomer for the view than take another bus to Formentor beach and a boattrip from here to Porta Pollenca. You don't need a guide for this and you for sure don't need to feel overseen and frozen, risking your own health. Picking up all the participants took more than one hour btw, the whole tour was not more than 4 hours
AVOID this trip, is not worth the money and the stress!!

Probably the best £34 I have ever spent, a full day of seeing the best of the north! Our host Antonio/a was wonderful she spoke so many different languages and made everyone really happy! They tour was wonderful and we got to see so many epic places!
Do be careful when you get to the last stop before you get on the boat, I got seriously stung by jelly fish!!
Neringa_S, Jul 2021
the second part of the trip when we passed through the mountains and reached Tormentor- was nice but I have to say that first part was less pleasant. We stoppend in a leather shop in the town called Inca. Was 30 min of wasting time instead of see the nature and enjoy the view of Mallorca. After Inca we went to the market- another 1.5 wasted.
I have to mention too that the guide Antonio was a bit cold person and the air condition in the bus was afwul:(
Next time I will choose different company for the tour.
there is always space for improvement.
Clemma_T, Aug 2020
Nice day out and good value, but the trip wasn't as per the itinerary on here. We didn't go to Alcudia - something that I'd booked the trip to do - and instead went to Inca which had a market, and didn't really interest me. Formentor was beautiful. There is a stop at a beach and the water is beautiful. We were there over an hour so bring suitable clothes so you can make the most of it.

The whole trip is actually a guided collection of memorable sites, part of the “must see" list in Mallorca.
1. Alcudia market it’s a picturesque place where a horde of tourists intends to spend some money and a bunch of “locals” tries to sell them Chinese stuff. But, like I said, it’s picturesque. Trick: buy fruits.
2. Cap de Formentor is the best part of the trip. The views are just spectacular and shall take your breath away. Prepare your photo camera for unforgettable (Instagram) memories.
3. The beach of Formentor to the Port of Pollenca is a pleasant, well deserved break. Good time and place for picnic, if you have prepared for that (remember when you’ll stop at the market of Alcudia) and for a bath, so take your swimsuit.
4. And at the final, the boat trip was a (short) pleasant, relaxing end of the excursion.

Some beautiful views , really nice driver and guide.
Formentor beach was a let down, hardly any space.
The boat ride back was ok.
Derrick C, May 2018
Was able to see quite a lot of North Mallorca - with a mix of markets, towns, boat ride, beaches, and the mountains.
A great way to be introduced to this area of the island.
Wei L, Apr 2018
I would like to have a stop for the lighthouse at the tip of Cap de Formentor rather than the market. The cafe, orange juice, nuts and other local stuffs were nice but I don't like those counterfeits from China or those seriously homogenous souvenirs.

Very good tour. Was a full day - picked up at hotel on time then had several other pick ups en route to joining main bus in Palma. Took about an hour to do this. Guide Sebastian was excellent - described in 4 languages - Spanish, French, German and English. We stopped for 1.5 hrs at Sineu market - very large. Recommend you purchase picnic here as when you get to Formentor for the lunch stop there is only one cafe and was very busy on our day. We stopped at a viewpoint by Alcudia - stunning views. Then dropped down into Formentor and spent 1.5 hrs on beach. Then took boat for 30 mins to Porto Pollenca- would have liked some time here but did not stop. Then direct back to Palma. If you are staying in tbe South this trip gives you a good overview of the centre, the Tramuntana and the north coast. Would recommend - good value for money.

Great day out, picked up at hotel on time. Picked up more passengers from other hotels locally then off to the market for 2 hours, great experience. Best tip for the day is to buy fruit, ham and cheeses for lunch later in the day lunch not included in trip. Scenic drive to next stop at Cap de Formentor --spectacular views check out photos. Then to the beach at Formentor for lunch. Lovely beach but only one beach bar for food which is expensive see earlier tip. Boat trip for 25 minutes across the bay to Port de Pollenca to be picked up by bus for return trip. Really great value tour lasting around 8 hours. Only slight negative was most people were German speaking so most of the commentary was in German, though some was in English and french.
Matija B, Aug 2017
Great, you see most of the north of Mallorca, I would recommend this trip because you see beautiful Formentor. Only thing is that we didn't have opportunity to take photo from the Colomer viewpoint there was a lot of parked cars and bus couldn't park. Also, when you arrive to Port of Pollensa, trip is over and you go directly to bus and back to Mallorca, so no free time in Pollensa.
Cosmina C, Aug 2017
I went on the Tuesday trip, stopping in Alcudia market along the way to Formentor. The roman city ruins were visible from the bus, upon entering the city. The market location was great, between old walls, there was plenty of time there to enjoy a fresh orange juice really good, sweet oranges.
Originally, I thought that being seated at the back of the bus is the worst, but... when the bus climbed towards the viewpoint of Colomer, from the back seat there were amazing views of the bay, so I changed my mind and appreciated the seat. The viewpoint is located among spectacular, breathtaking cliffs, surrounded by surreal dark blue water.
The beach of Formentor was crowded, since it is sought after by tourists. The water was really clear and if you're looking for the shade at noon, there are pine woods all around.
The boat trip to the port of Pollenca was refreshing, although there were quite a few waves, right after departure. The coastline was nice, we were able to admire interesting buildings from the sea.
The guide provided information about the cities we saw from the bus, and also about the island in general.
If you enjoy history and nature, I recommend this trip.

Great day out and really enjoyed it and commentary from guide.Only pity was everything presented in 3 different languages and Sorry but Mallorca beaches are pretty average and water dirty
Christina M, Jun 2017
A nice way to see some highlights of the north part of the island - we visited some beautiful areas and you have some free time for the beach so if it's nice bring your suit.
Lucinda Y, Jun 2017
Although this trip was a good value for the most part, I would have preferred to spend less time at the beach portion In Formentor. . The Sinua market visit was very enjoyable and held a wide variety of offerings from lace blouses to olive wood utensils! There was also entertainment in the market adding to the festive ambiance and the pricing on most items was very good. I only wish I'd had more room in my suitcase to bring things back home. Our guide was very thorough in his knowledge and did an excellent job organizing while in the field and narrating on the bus. We went by many points of interests on our journey and made a stop at a stunning cliff side vantage point. In the trip description, it states lunch in the Port of Pollensa but as it turned out we took a ferry from Pollensa to Formentor and stayed there for beach and lunch. The problem with having lunch in Formentor is there are only a couple of restaurants so the one restaurant with table service and a water view was wickedly overpriced for what we got - a 21 E tasteless pizza which we split because the prices on everything were crazy. Its unfortunate we did not make our lunch stop in Pollensa which was a cute port side town with a variety of dining establishments. I only wish this portion of the day had been shorter - like 30 minutes max in Formentor. Overall I would say the price of this tour is inexpensive for all that you see and do.

Really enjoyed this tour, even though it was raining!!! Tour guide very informative, so would recommend this tour.
Inver, Jun 2017
Just how long have you got? An amazing tour with lots to see and do, from market visits to beach relax with amazing views thrown in. Great guide and driver , Five Stars!
Alan D, Sep 2016
Great tour, helpful tour guide, Formentor was amazing. A great day trip and good value for money. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Antony M, Sep 2016
This tour was a waste of time and money .We were picked up from another hotel to ours then drove past a our hotel 30 minutes later we had a half hr stop at the top of a hill then the coach took us down to a beach were we had a 1hr30 minute wait for the boat trip then straight back to the other hotel
Shreyas N, Jul 2016
An excellent guide. Explained a lot about the places, got to spend quite some time at the beaches. Very well done tour.
Jane R, Jun 2016
An excellent way to see the north of the island if you are staying in Palma. The trip takes in Alcudia, Porta Pollensa and the beautiful Formentor. We were a little bit rushed and I would advise anyone with walking problems to think carefully about booking. My mother had difficulty keeping up with the walking from the bus to the resorts. Nevertheless, very good value for money - I would recommend this tour.
Torbjrn_E, Jun 2016
Half of the tour was spent on visiting a market and a leather factory, waste of time and not why I took this tour. The North coast of Mallorca was as Beautiful as expected, perhaps even more. But due to the other stops on the way there wasn't much time to explore it, unfortunately.
Lisa D, Jun 2016
Formentor and the port city are beautiful and well worth the trip to the north side of the island. The drawback of this tour to me was that the guide was speaking everything in 4 different languages and as a result, there was not a lot of information shared and was difficult to follow at times. But, if you are in it for the cheap transportation around the island, there is plenty of time to explore the sites with your own free time.
Katy_W, May 2016
Excellent trip which was very well organised and the guide was fluent in 4 languages and gave an interesting commentary throughout. Good value gor money.
