Javier is a superb tour guide, and I highly recommend the private tour for Ronda given the often tight spaces in this small city. Ronda is beautiful inside and out, and Javier ensured we did not miss any details as we completed the stroll through town. He also made spot on recommendations, including the rooftop overlooking the oldest bull ring in the world.
This was one of our favorite stops in out tour of Spain.

A great tour of Ronda! Javier our tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was very pleasant and we covered a lot of sights in the two hours. He modified the tour to suit our taste. This was a last minute decision. The best one we made yet. Our guide Javier was the best we ever had. He made quite the uncomfortable day, over 100°, Both Entertaining and Educational. But he had the perfect painting to describe. If you never had the thought to visit Ronda think again. Breathtaking around every corner. Our only disappointment? We should have stayed the night. Perfect 2 hour walking tour.

Not only did he know so much history, but he also shared some local stories that added color to the tour. We walked through neighborhoods and low key viewpoints that only locals know. The guide was nice and he did a great job, but Ronda is a very small city that- a part from the bridge- doesn't offer much to see, therefore you can do this tour without a guide......

It is for those who would like to know a bit more about Ronda’s history (just highlights without getting boring), culture, fun facts, typical dishes, the andalusian lifestyle at the same time that you enjoy the company of your official guide that has spent years studying the area and surroundings.
You may need a few days to enjoy Ronda in depth that’s why during this almost 2 hours tour you’ll get ideas of what to do and see the rest of your time in the city.

The tour was for just 2 of us and in English. Our guide was Javier, who was exceptionally professional (and his English was perfect). After we had booked, he made initial contact with us via WhatsApp to confirm details and on the day of the tour as some rain was anticipated, he messaged us to recommend we bring umbrellas and maybe a jacket or coat. In addition he offered to meet us at the hotel reception rather than outside the tourist office as originally scheduled.
The tour was at a reasonable pace and Javier had prepared well, with lots of historic details and other information. The highlight of the tour and one of the most famous edifices is the Puente Nuevo over the Tajo gorge, which is spectacular and Javier arranged several locations to view it from. Javier also gave us lots of information about local products and where to get them and to try the local wines.
Javier gave us lots of detailed information about the town´s historical connections with bull fighting. On this day, the bullring itself was not open, but instead he did show us over the bullring from the panoramic bar of the Catalonia hotel across the road. We were also given a very good oversight of the more historic old town.
Overall, it was an excellent tour and we can highly recommend it - and Javier was a great guide. He even followed up the next day with more information and some videos he had mentioned during the tour.
