Spending the day with Joelle was truly special. Prepping and cooking our meal with her cheerful guidance was so much fun. When going to the market with Joelle we felt like locals, as she and we were warmly greeted by each purveyor. Then the six of us (my wife, our friends and another couple) and Joelle sat down to the absolutely wonderful meal and a great bottle of wine on her beautiful terrace, with an amazing 360-degree view of Lyon! We all agreed that it is a day we will remember. We recommend that if you're coming to Lyon, take the opportunity to spend this time with Joelle. It was truly a highlight of our time in France.

The entire experience was amazing. Joelle was a wonderful host and instructor. The day started at the market, which goes for many blocks, with the most wonderful ingredients. We then went to the butcher and cheese shop. All of the recipes are approachable, so you can do them at home. Joelle guided us, but was not intrusive as we made the meal. We then sat to eat together and it felt more like having dinner at a friend's home. And... speaking of her home. The rooftop terrace view is remarkable. We could see all the way to the Alps. Thank you, Joelle!

Great fun! Joelle welcomed us into her lovely home and let us take over her kitchen to learn to prepare a whole mouthwatering meal. She served us gratiously with wine too! She was knowlegeable and helpful and we had a great time with the others included in our tour. Met some wonderful people.

I have been traveling through France with a friend and we decided to take a cooking class while we were in Lyon. Joël was wonderful, inviting us into her home and sharing the most amazing meal with us. We could tell she really enjoys these occasions and is happy to be hospitable. It was a great opportunity to experience French culture and food a little more deeply and try something that we might not find in the average patisserie or restaurant. We highly recommend the experience.

From the moment you enter Joelle's magnificent home you are greeted with enthusiasm and an apron! We were ready to prepare an amazing feast. We started preparations! with the potatoes Dauphine and the chocolate dessert! Followed by an outdoor market tour! We were educated on French cheeses, artisaal breads, apples! Made the remaining menu and sat down to eat our culinary menu. Joelle's husband Phillip, came home for lunch and made the exception class memorable with lively conversation! This was the best experience and adventure we had in Lyon. Merci beaucoup Mille mercis!
