It is a unique opportunity to meet a local couple who welcomes you to their lovely home with a spectacular view of Lyon. Not only that, they prepare a delicious dinner of local favorites and sit at the table with you. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We were having trouble getting a taxi back to our hotel so they even drove us there. Way over and beyond!! It’s a must do! Thank you Joelle and Phillip.

Everything about our evening with Joelle & Philippe was outstanding! The view from the apartment and terrace was spectacular. The food was top quality and the opportunity to meet our hosts was exceptional. If you want a memorable, unique local experience, this is for you!

A Delicious Dinner with Friends

Joelle is a lovely cook and she and her husband were lovely hosts! My husband and I booked this for the last leg of our honeymoon and were looking for a delicious meal that was a different experience than taking a cooking class or eating at a restaurant. This did not disappoint! Joelle invited a couple of her friends over, whom she thoughtfully curated based on her conversations with me beforehand. Everything on the menu was really tasty and the conversation with everyone was lively and fun. (Side note - 8pm in October means the view from the rooftop is an evening view of lights - which we thought was beautiful, but something to be aware of). I highly recommend this experience. Private dining in a home with spectacular views

This was a lovely evening in the home of a gracious hostess, two of her friends and another couple. Viator didn’t mention this was in a private home, so I was surprised. While it was a very different evening than I expected, it was quite fun dining with locals and being able to chat about the city and France. The food was excellent and their views were some of the best in Lyon. And their dog was adorable.
