It’s worth the drive. This tour was very cool and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples . It was a long drive but seeing the Abu Simbel Temples was worth every hour on the road. We had a great driver. I would recommend this tour to my friend and family.

I thought the 14-hour round trip by car would be a bit tough, but my driver, Jortz, was a fun person and l had a great time without getting bored. In addition, the explanations given by my local guide, Hami, were very easy to understand, witty and wonderful. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour.

Really appreciate this company! Not an easy drive from Luxor to Abu Simbel and back. The driver and the communication with the office was very quick. He picked us up at 4.30 and all paperwork was done a day before via whatsup. Temples are great and worth every minute of this long trip.

It's a long drive, 6 hours there then the same back. The driver was brilliant! Think his name was Abdo, plenty of breaks if you need them and he points out anything good to see. The Temple was good as well.

In the end it was a good tour, but the tour operator Nice tours should be more forthcoming and transparent about it. We knew that it will be a long drive and we chose it because we knew that Abu Simbel was worth it. Our issue was the little disclosure and miss communication from the tour operator. It started with a very early request the day before the tour for photocopies of our passports with little explanation. That was a little unusual. It was justified upon our inquiries as necessary to obtain a permit to visit Abu Simbel, but in reality was probably for the many police checkpoints along the way. Then the day of the tour they sent a driver that didn’t speak any English or any other language and we had to rely on Google translate. The English speaking guide will meet us just at Abu Simbel. And at 5AM when it was pitch dark the driver suddenly steered through a bumpy dirt road between fields and farms and donkeys and said we cannot be on the road until 7am when police will allow it. It was a little scary and we were scrambling to call their office to see what is going on and communicate in a meaningful way with the driver. When office responded we didn’t get much an explanation more of just repeated “don’t worry”. Anyway in the end we continued our journey through those bumpy dirty roads and got to Abu Simbel. As I said, in the end everything was OK and we got to Abu Simbel and back without any incident. It was worth the trip and the tour was OK less the start and the fact that we could not communicate with the driver who was anyway on the phone most of the time. Those were the reasons for our 3-star rating.

We had a great day trip from Luxor to Abu Simbel. It takes about 6 hours one way. If you like to see Abu Simbel, but stay in Luxor this is a great opportunity. We were picked up in our hotel at 4 am and have received some little souvenirs. Payment for fast admission to the sight can be done beforehand.
The driver didn't speak much English, but was very friendly and it was possible to communicate via Google Translate. He also had some excellent music taste so we could listen to lots of Egyptian music on the long drive. There had been a stop at a gas station for toulets and beverages.
Wr met the tour guide Ahmed at Abu Simbel, he was knowledgeable and has given us some interesting insights on the monuments. We can recommend this tour a lot if you want to spend two hours at Abu Simbel and are okay to have a 12 hours drive for that, in my opinion it's absolutely worth it.

Pros: the temples are gorgeous
Will I recommend it?: absolutely not (in my honest opinion), even if I am a fanatic of ancient egypt history.
Cons: 16 hours on car with the same driver!! (obviously he was tired, and that is a dangerous situation). You spend all day on car! You don't have a proper meal during the trip, there's no time (you have a schedule). You have 2 hours exactly at the temples (even if you ask to take only one more picture with both temples, the guide will not permit, because the driver is waiting). The explanation are pretty basic with some other few details).
I knew It will be a difficult trip, but I didn't imagine how much.
There are more cheaper and not so tiring options (cruise, stay a day at a hotel there...), even your hotel can provide you with better and cheaper options.
Next time, I will do it on other way for sure, even if I travel a lot, this was too much.

My tour guide, Hamid is very kind and he has not only a lots acknowledgement of temple’s history but also of many things we can see in the way to temple.
My driver, Mano is also kind. He doesn’t speak English much but we communicated with google translation.

I had a great day trip! It took 7 and a half hours to get from Luxor to Abu Simbel Temple, but the view from the windows kept me entertained. I stayed awake the entire trip and enjoyed the whole day. At the start of the trip, I received a bottle of water, potato chips, and some souvenirs. We had three breaks, as I recall. The driver, Felip, was friendly and a nice guy. Even though he couldn’t speak English, we had a great conversation using a translator app. I chose this tour because I wanted to stay in Luxor. It took 7 and a half hours, but it was worth it! When I saw the Abu Simbel Temple, it kept giving me goosebumps—it was amazing! I’m glad I chose this tour! Thank you so much!

This Abu Simbel experience was awesome! I was picked up from Luxor on time and driven to Abu Simbel with no hassle. My guide Waleed Adnan (aka the Nubian Ramses II) was very nice and informative. He gave me lots of free time to explore for myself also. I fully recommend this tour.

We highly recommend taking this tour if you are staying at Luxor. Keep in mind the trip is long (around 5 hours to get there, and 5 to get back), but the experience is totally worth it, such an amazing temple. You get around 2 hours to visit the site.
In our case, our driver was Bola Ashak, who made the long journey very enjoyable and kept us safe. We were so confident even to take a some naps. Bola makes the necessary stops for food or toilet. The car had air condition that kept us fresh. He picked us up at our hotel and was flexible even to drop us at the Luxor Museum.
Our guide was Ahmed Ashraf, who was open to answer all of our questions and was really friendly. We visited the temple in June during record high temperatures, but he gave us the explanations all under the shade keeping us as fresh as possible. And we got great pictures taken by him.
