Excellent tour to Dendera and Abydos

We had a wonderful day trip from Luxor to the temples of Dendera and Abydos. Our driver Emad always has given us a secure feeling and did know all the right roads to get there. We felt so good we even had some naps in the comfortable and air conditioned car. Our guide Abanoub Nazmi was excellent. First of all he had given us enough time to do things on our own speed, like going to toilets, seeing a supermarket together before returning, finding an ATM, and giving us enough time for photographs. He advised us in Dendera that there's a possibility to go to the roof, which we didn't know before and loved a lot. Also he was very knowledgeable on Egyptian history and mythology, he also told us the interesting story of Dorothy Louise Eady, an English woman in the early 20th century, who thought she would be the reincarnation of a high priestess of the Abydos Temple that had an affair with Seti I and who named her son Seti and was therefore known as the Mother of Seti. She also had a vast knowledge about Egyptology. He also told us about usage by Koptic Christians and the strange findings in the temple like what seems to be a helicopter or submarine or ancient electricity. So we learned many interesting things by our guide. We also had seen the Oseirion from the outside (inside affords a special expensive allowance) and our guide was so nice to help us see the 600 m away temple of Ramses II that most people seem to miss. I can recommend this tour a lot, also Dendera Temple that is in many aspects similar to Edfu Temple is a lot less crowded and more accessible. Thanks to Nice Tours for this great tour.
