Good Transportation to Dendera

Driver arrived on time and vehicle had air conditioning. It is about an hour drive to the temple from Luxor. We only paid for transportation and explored on our own. Make sure to pay for crypt tickets to explore secret tunnels.

We had a fantastic trip to Dendera Temple. The drive took about an hour each way, and our driver was excellent—very safe, professional, and made the journey comfortable and stress-free. The temple itself was incredible. The architecture is impressive, but what amazed us most were the colours that have survived for thousands of years. Seeing the vibrant ceiling decorations and carvings still intact was truly unforgettable. We paid extra to visit the catacombs. It is only a short corridor, accessed through a small opening that you have to climb through before being able to stand up inside. While it is a relatively small area, it was an interesting experience and added something different to the visit. We also purchased a rooftop ticket, which was definitely worthwhile. The views from the top were excellent and provided a unique perspective of the temple and surrounding area. Overall, Dendera Temple exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our time in Egypt. The combination of stunning ancient artwork, fascinating history, and unique access to the catacombs and rooftop made it a memorable visit.

Recommended for those who don't have time but want to take a closer look at Dendera

I only asked for a transfer from Luxor to Dendera. It is highly recommended for those who don't have time but would like to see only Hathor Temple in Dendera. If you take an early morning balloon ride, visit Karnak or Luxor temples, leave for Dendera in the afternoon and take a two-hour look back, you can still come back before the museum opens. The Hathor temple takes two hours to complete, if you take a close look around to the three crypts, the panorama and the exterior walls. Instead of going to the hotel, they opened it up near the Luxor Temple and dropped it off at the Luxor Museum. The car was also a beautiful passenger car and the driver was kind to me. In Japan, I'm worried if I haven't been able to contact the company a week ago, but since it's Egypt, I haven't heard from them until the day before. I'll be out of town, but I don't need to provide my passport photo, so last minute contact is fine.
