Perfect Afternoon Tour for Karnak & Luxor Temple Sunset

I booked this private tour for the East Bank and had a fantastic experience. The Driver: My driver, Yasser, was excellent. He picked me up from my hotel around 2:00 PM. A huge plus was that I could communicate with him via WhatsApp at any time, which made coordinating pickups from the busy parking lots very easy. The Car: The vehicle was a Chery Tiggo 8, which was spacious, modern, and very comfortable for the transfers between temples. The Itinerary: 1. Karnak Temple: We went here first. Since the complex is massive, I spent about 2 hours exploring. Yasser waited patiently in the parking lot. 2. Luxor Temple: We arrived late in the afternoon, which was perfect timing. I was able to see the temple during the "golden hour" sunset and stayed until the lights came on to see the night view. I spent about an hour here. Yasser got me back to my hotel safely just before 6:00 PM. I highly recommend asking for afternoon start time to catch the sunset at Luxor Temple!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience touring Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple with our guide, Sawsan. She took the time to explain the significance of the temples, the symbolism behind the carvings, and the fascinating stories of the pharaohs. We learned so much while still feeling relaxed and never rushed. She also took many beautiful photos for us.

Special 5th anniversary celebration

Highly recommend this experience. It was tailored to us and it was the perfect amount of time to not be overwhelming or tiring. Our driver Amr was prompt on pick ups and drop offs, and drove safely. He even had a cold Fanta waiting for us after the first temple! That was a kind and unexpected surprise. Our guide Susan was delightful. She is kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took all of our questions with grace and explained what we were seeing very well. She took the time to make sure we had great photos at the sites as well! Finally, we were greeted with a surprise for our 5th wedding anniversary. That was completely unexpected and so thoughtful. Everyone in the company was telling us happy annniversary and it made us feel so special. Highly recommend this company. Thank you!!

Luxor Temple is beautiful...

Luxor Temple is beautiful at night, just gives a new feel to the experience. We did the 3:30pm option and we had a bit of traffic, so we were rushed a bit at the Karnak Temple as they close at 6pm.

First thing I must say straight away is how helpful and professional the organiser Mustafa was.We had to rearrange our tour at the very last minute due to a different tour operator cancelling another trip. Consequently we initially had no guide for the trip that was arranged last minute, however I explained everything to Mustafa and he did everything he could and managed to arrange a guide and got everything sorted for us which was very appreciated during such a stressful episode! Regarding the trip itself, our driver Amr was fantastic, very personable, took us to a few local places we needed to stop at on the way back to the hotel (to buy bread/fruit etc), lovely clean and comfortable car and an all round calm, nice guy. The lady we had during the tour was also nice, she was very knowledgeable and explained everything in an engaging way. Karnak was much bigger than Luxor Temple but both were good, lots of photos opportunities (if you allow a security guard to take a photo for you they will expect a tip fyi and will ask for more if they feel the tip is too small! So maybe avoid that) but yes in general I would absolutely recommend this tour company to do the Luxor/Karnak tour, very, very good 👍

I booked a private half-day tour to Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, and everything was excellent. The car was new, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The driver was very attentive and made the transfers smooth and easy. My guide, Mahmoud Ramadan, was outstanding. He proactively reached out to me the day before and suggested a better start time to avoid the crowds, and I’m really glad I took his advice — our timing worked out perfectly. Throughout the tour he was very informative and extremely patient, especially at Karnak Temple where he let me explore at my own pace without any pressure or rush. He is very knowledgeable, and he also helped connect a lot of what I learned previously at the Grand Egyptian Museum with what I saw today here in Luxor. It gave the whole experience more depth and context. Highly recommended!

Start very early and watch the sunrise at Karnak

The tour started early in the morning (at around 6 AM). We managed to catch the sunrise at Karnak temple which was definitely a highlight. My guide Rocky was very knowledgeable and insightful. I highly recommend.

The scale of karnak is very impressive. Luxor temple is smaller ( still big) but is in it own way a more impressive temple. Our driver Amr was very professional and helpful. The great thing out a private trip is the ability to explore at your own pace and not to have the mandatory stops at the local trade shops

Tour was great! They picked us up at our hotel and provided us water. We opted for an added guide and we were glad we did. Summer was a fantastic guide! Mostafa was also very easy to get in contact with. We liked the tour so much we decided to book a tour the next day to the West Bank with Summer again. Book with this company when you are in Luxor!

Wir haben als kleine Familiengruppe den ganzen Tag mit Tourguide gebucht, und bereuen es nicht im Geringsten! Der Van war komfortabel, sauber, gut klimatisiert und mit kostenlosen Getränken. Tourguide Sawsan war eine unglaublich fröhliche, sympathische Frau, die uns einzigartig, interssant und sehr professionell in die Geheimnisse der ägyptischen Geschichte eingeweiht hat. Auch der Fahrer Ali war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir können die Tour jedem empfehlen und würden sie jederzeit wieder bei diesem Unternehmen buchen!
