Not Great……
The tour we booked included Mt Rigi. On the day of the tour the meeting time got changed from 9:45 to 10AM but we were not notified. We waited for 10 minutes but we finally connected with your local travel agenct( Swiss Travels) and were told the original tour got canceled and our trip was moved to another trip that it did not include Mt Rigi.
We also saw an email in the morning
Saying a refund has been processed but there was no explanation why a refund was issued. If we had left the meeting place before 10AM we would have missed the tour altogether.
Over all there was confusion and no communication from Viator and Swiss tours.
Totally disappointed with the service. No issues with the tour guide.

Disappointed the weather stopped us from going to mt Rigi but Pilatus and boat ride were exceptional.
Our guide Selma was excellent very friendly and knowledgeable a thoroughly enjoyable day
Couldn't find our guide. Called Viator and tour company and no one would help us. Said they would reimburse us and today emailed and said they wouldn't. Complete disgrace.
Our tour guide Lincoln from Brazil was outstanding and gave the group great tips along the way! Despite the poor visibility due to weather the tour went on as scheduled. Unfortunately I was informed near the end of our trip that I was the only one that had booked a stop at Mt Rigi which would have been the highlight of the trip, however our guide said we wouldn't get back until 1900 , a time difference of 2.5 hours from the stated end time of 1645. Since I had made other commitments at 1830, I was unable to complete that part of the tour! We ended up finishing at 1500. I don't believe the tour company had any intention of wanting me to go on the last stop to Mt Rigi and they were unwilling to reimburse me on the difference between the tour I took and the tour I paid for!
Had trouble with meeting point details. Almost missed the tour. Viator needs to provide more details about the meeting point
Once on.. tour was great. Guide Lincoln was wonderful and had extensive knowledge to share
The weather was rainy, foggy, we were only able to visit 2 of our locations. We contacted Viator to refund us second half of our trip due to weather and they declined! What a HUGE disappointment! Our tour cost for two of us $750!!!!! They should have at least refunded two thirds of the tour cost😩
I highly recommend this full day tour of BOTH Mt. Pilatus and Mt Rigi along with a lake cruise. Both mountains are beautiful and unique in their own right. If you don't have enough days in Lucerne, then this is the best tour If you want to experience both mountains. Our guide was Erika and she was knowledgeable and professional. She did a great job keeping us together with such a variety of transportation throughout the day.
We had a horrible experience We couldn’t find our meeting place according to our tickets We called and called Tours of Switzerland to find our tour and no one answered . They refused to give us a refund of over $700. They said they tried to find us No they didn’t So, really the rating should be a big fat ZERO Barb Cecchin

During departure times, our team receives a high volume of calls from multiple groups and locations simultaneously. When we are unable to answer a call immediately, we always provide an alternative contact method via email at guests@tours-of-switzerland.com. This allows our team to assist guests while managing on-site operations, as we are able to handle email and phone communication in parallel, whereas only one call can be managed at a time.
Regarding the meeting point, it is clearly defined both on the reseller platform and on our official website as being in front of platform 7. This is the designated location used for all group departures, and it is where our guide and group were present at the scheduled time.
We are sorry for the confusion and frustration this situation caused. Your feedback will be reviewed internally to help us further improve clarity of instructions and communication channels for future guests.
There was no description of taking a public bus twice. The tour guide Nicki was very nice The boat tour was a hotel commuter boat - not for site seeing. The train does not run u til late spring - but that was not disclosed. A very disappointing and o er priced tour. I would not recommend.
Four of us paid around $350 each to see Mt Pilatus, Mt Rigi, and Lake Lucerne.
Due to the weather, Mt Rigi was cancelled and the tour operator emailed us that iwe would each receive a 20% refund because of the cancellation. We have as yet NOT been given any refund.
Seeing Mt Pilatus and Lake Lucerne were 5 stars. Our guide was just adequate. For someone with 5 years experience I was shocked by how unprepared she was. She was sweet but gave us bare minimum guidance and information. Because of that and no refund as of now I don’t recommend this tour.
The tour we were taken on did not include Mt. Rigi. The tour guide told us he did not even think it was possible to do all three activities in the same day. The tour was also 17 people, although promised to be 15. And the tour was in English and Spanish. There was a lot of wasted time on an expensive tour for translations.
Booked this tour on a Viking cruise extension bc this tour was much cheaper than the Viking tour and visited same sights. We were beyond pleased with our guide (I am embarrassed I didn’t get his name). Guide was so kind, patient and thoughtful taking pictures of our group and ensuring we made it to Mt Rigi summit in time for sunset. Most amazing sunset! He is very knowledgeable and gave so much information to us. Perfect balance of giving us space to see everything while also keeping us informed. He was very safe and conscious of ensuring our whole group stayed together in very busy areas. 100% recommend this amazing tour of the Lucerne region! It was the biggest highlight of our 2 week holiday.
Terrible!!
I never went on this tour. First it was booked for Wednesday morning ( I had ticket)so I went to Lucerne train station for 10:30 am tour
No guide!!!
I texted Viator and was told tour was for Thursday at 10:30am. So I went to Lucerne train station . NO tour guide!!
I will never use Viator again!!
The cartwheel ride was a big plus as it was state of the art! The engineering was amazing. Not to say that the views were spectacular!
