Itinerary

Make the most of your time in port with a private walking tour of Klaipeda designed for flexibility and an easy shore-day experience. Meet your guide near the port entrance shortly after your ship docks and set out on a relaxed exploration tailored to your interests, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and adjust the pace.

Walk through Klaipada’s historic center while learning about the city’s evolution from a small fishing village into an important Baltic Sea port. Founded in 1252 and once known as Memel, the city reflects centuries of cultural influences. Stroll through the Old Town to see the castle site and traditional warehouse buildings, noted for their distinctive German “fachwerk” architecture.

Continue through Theatre Square to view the Simon Dach Fountain, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, and choose to visit the Amber Queen Museum to learn more about the region’s long association with Baltic amber.

After the tour, return comfortably to the port, or stay behind to continue exploring Klaipeda independently, with your ship just a short walk away.

Agnes was very energetic and knowledgeable. She loves her city and told us many stories about its history and people. The tour company was very gracious. I had inadvertently booked the wrong day and we would have had to cancel. The company contact, Oleg, arranged for us to meet with Agnes later in the day.

Terrific tour guide - she was extremely knowledgeable and gave us just enough information without overloading us. We covered the windiest city at a comfortable pace, and all of us greatly enjoyed our tour.
