Absolutely wonderful and peaceful. Everyone was kind! Kym paired everyone with the perfect horse and was very informative on landscaping, history, etc. I definitely recommend and will taking her other tour next time we come.

Silver State Horseback Riding has horrible customer service. I was accused of taking another customer's food when I purchased a ticket that included a bbq dinner. Since they did not have that information on their end from Viator, and despite me sharing screenshots of my ticket that does include dinner, that somehow made up for the tour guide ending our ride after 15 minutes and them refusing atleast a partial refund of my $260 purchase. The tour guide was concerned about the dark clouds and ended early for safety and while I completely understand safety, we waited outside in the same weather he was concerned about for nearly 30 minutes to receive two cold plates of barbecue only for the guide to say we probably could have kept on riding, since the rain he was expecting never came. The tour guide was great but the customer service of the company sucks!

We only rode for 45mins and we did not receive the bbq lunch. Our tour guide was made and rush the ride due to her wanting to shot a music video with her friends. She was rude to the horses. I was concerned with the condition of the trail and the damaged it did to the horse's feet. The tour guide was not concerned at all and that's animal cruelty.

Hi We have contacted viator about this false review. Our horses wear rubber shoes to protect their feet however our area is not rocky. We do not shoot music videos here and I don’t have your name in our reservation. I don’t see in your comment how the guide was rude to the horses this all seems very made up.

We took this tour on Christmas day. Our reservation was messed up, but, ultimately corrected. This adventure is not on a ranch, it’s in the middle of the desert. The photo is the dinner we were handed in plastic bags. There was no table or light to eat by, and unclear where the food was while we were riding? Very poor customer service. Do not recommend.

Hi The tour is not in the middle of the desert. We are right off a main road only 8 minutes from Las Vegas. Your reservation was adjusted so you could get the best sunset view as the times in winter are different than summer. This way you did not ride in the dark and could see the beautiful sunset. We do have tables and chairs and lights. The food is catered so it was delivered when you returned from your ride so it’s hot and fresh. Please reach out to us at silverstatetours@gmail.com if you felt the guide gave you poor customer service. We did not charge you the upgrade fee for riding on Christmas like the other clients paid so hopefully that helps you understand the value you received riding on Christmas as our guide had to leave her family to provide you a fun activity when all other places were closed. Hopefully you enjoyed the calm pretty horses and gorgeous surroundings in nature with your group :)

Showed up with wife and they weren’t expected us even though we confirmed at least 3 times via email and text. Woman was working 8 horses by herself, no one was there to assist. Not smart and not safe for the riders. Horse ride was 40 minute and there was no dinner, no bbq, no NOTHING! Place was a petting zoo. No ranch- description of tour on Viator was 100% false. Old dying horses that everyone felt bad for walking on rocks not sand or dirt but ROCKS! Woman was not personable whatsoever and did.not ask for any feedback or give any details about horses or desert. she seemed like it was a long day and she wanted to go home. We were out in the cold desert expecting a hot dinner and at least a table and chairs. Instead, we were handed a styrofoam container with the worst cold food that was sitting there all day, I came 3000 miles for this adventure and it was a complete waste of my time and money. I will be demanded a full refund!

They don't let you take your own pictures and then the pictures that they take for you as they express they hold hostage for payment that they not tell you about the events. Then threaten they delete time couple hours later if you don't buy. Also they charge extra for pickup and drop off to a third party to drop us off but didn't pick up almost left us stranded and dinner was cold late and in the dark.... the four other people on the door felt the same way. The ride was extremely mild and no fun at all except for the horse fighting my Dismount at the end which was the most exciting part of the journey. Very lame trip and not very Scenic at all although the guide was very polite the company behind the trip was not.

The location of this journey changed. They would not call us only text and would have answer their phone. The ride was supposed to be 90 minutes was only 60 minutes. The horse company blamed Viator for the short ride, but the start time is posted clearly on their website as 7pm. The meal was given to us in styrofoam boxes and plastic bags. The corn was not edible and the ribs were burnt. Have gone on many horseback rides in US and Europe this was the most customer unfriendly experience.

On viator it states 1 hour on the horseback riding portion of the tour, it is not 90 minutes on horses and not advertised as such. We did not change location and you did receive your full horseback riding experience. Because our meals are so big we do give them to you in a To Go box to take with you and a bag to use when you take it to go. Just like in a restaurant to prevent waste of the food. I am not sure how corn was not edible but we do apologize for your issue with eating it. The ribs are smoked so they’re not burned they are smoked.

Extremely sketchy and non responsive. Booked our ride for 4pm, confirmed our reservation through text, spent $100 to uber from the Las Vegas strip, texted arrival (which were the instructions provided) and they mentioned it was too hot to ride and our reservation was moved to 7p. I could go on with the frustrating details, but not worth it. Don't waste your money, they are 100% no refunds.

Serenity in the Desert

The serenity of the desert ride was worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of the strip. The silence was so relaxing and offered a great contrast on our trip. Charlie was our guide, he was expert and looked after us superbly well. Logistics worked out well and our Uber Driver even took us back to our hotel rather than the arranged drop off point. The dinner was tasty, although I would advise in managing expectations. It was a pre-packed meal rather than a live BBQ. But we were here for the horse riding and that delivered!

I was so happy when I found this experience as I wanted to surprise my husband as he loves horses and we were celebrating his birthday. We were also able to get all the family on a ride with the barbecue sunset dinner which was very cool. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the nature and gave some great insight into the desert landscape. The horses were lovely and we stayed to feed them and spend time with nature. Would highly recommend. All in all, we are very happy and it was a memorable birthday for my husband and my kids.

Tour operator was horrible at communicating from the start. The tour states to arrange transportation 24hours prior to booking, although I booked it within 10 hours of the tour starting. I was told I was on my own for transportation and hired a car service round trip (because cell service can be spotty in the mountains) *to the coordinates given on the tour in this app!* upon arrival to GPS 36.1853226,-114.9211512, there was no tour associated with this booking. After contacting support, the operator stated I was instead to meet elsewhere (so why have these coordinates in the directions?) and the blunder fell on me. Horrible and expensive experience for what was intended to be a proposal evening.

The guide was great, the trail was a wash also used by vehicles and the route was a horse shoe route that started and ended in the same place , more like a mule train pace , but great for 1st time riders. The bbq was not at all what we had imagined. Cold ribs packed hours before in styrofoam containers with a table set next to the horse trailer , you can imaging the the experience, that was cut rate. No hot bbq by a campfire 🔥

Hi! Since we do not advertise a campfire dinner experience that would be why you did not get one. Sorry you misunderstood what you booked with us. The trail is a legitimate horse trail used only by horses. You do not travel the same trail both ways so you can see different scenery. The dinners are delivered as you ride by delivery company from a catered BBQ restaurant. Unless you decided to wait to eat until later on the meals are served hot and are fresh. Not sure how you would think they are hours old? That’s a misconception on your part.

The riding itself was really nice and Grace, our guide, was friendly and talkative. But the BBQ dinner was not at all what we expected. We thought that there would be ready tables and a hot meal. In stead we were asked if we wanted to eat at the site, in which case the guide would bring a table at the parking space, or if we wanted the food to go! We chose to go because the parking space didn't look very inviting. So we were presented with a small cold meal in styrofoam that had been sitting in a truck for several hours. Needless to say, we didn't eat the meat or the beans due to inproper handling. If you book this tour, do the cheaper one without the dinner!

Hi! We have meals catered fresh and hot by a BBQ catering company. They are not sitting in a truck for hours ! I can’t even imagine why you would have thought that? We do have chairs and tables set up ( where else would you sit but at chairs and tables? 🙃). Based on our other reviews the other clients all tell us the food is really good as we have large portions for you. The take out container is to allow you to take it back with you as most clients can not eat that much food in one sitting. By time you got the food back to your hotel 30 minutes away it would no longer have been hot. I think you missed out by not eating the meal provided onsite which is apart of the experience so this review is not accurate description of our BBQ tour ;)

Paid a lot of money to ride in a trashy area of the dessert. Guide was on her phone texting instead of visiting. Rode about 1/4 mile on one side of the road and then back on the other side. Supper was served cold in a styrofoam container with a warm can of pop. I don’t usually write bad reviews but this was a joke! Hard to contact for address and time changed last minute etc. wish we would if cancelled!

This tour was advertised as a 2 hour experience, but the whole thing lasted 45 minutes! My family and I were very disappointed with the tour. When I asked for Viator or the Tour Company to make it right, they refused and denied a half refund. I want to say, the sunset was beautiful and the guide was polite, but it’s annoying when you do not get what you pay for. Just use caution when booking these tours. If you have never been on a horse and don’t want a long tour, this may be for you. If you and your family enjoy riding and want a more in-depth tour, book somewhere else. I highly recommend finding a local ranch and contacting them instead of using Viator. This experience as a whole was disappointing and a waste of time.

Hi We are glad you enjoyed your guide scenery and safe gorgeous horses :) just an FYI for other clients reading this The tour time is approx 1.5-2 hour. This all depends how many riders are in a group. If there are a lot of riders it takes more time to set up. If only a couple riders it’s quicker to get through the signing waivers, riding instruction, safety speech , mounting horses, taking pictures etc. The ride on the horses is approx 1 hour. This also depends how fast the horses walk. Certain horses have longer strides and can move out quicker than others. But the same tour is taken for everyone. Then there is the dinner portion that is apart of the tour time as well. It would be impossible for the guide to have you sign waivers, give riding directions, get you on the horses , take three separate pictures , go for the tour, return and get you off and do the dinner portion in 45 minutes.

It was amazing. Grace the tour guide was wonderful. Horses are well trained and cared for. Eating when the sun was down in outdoors of the mountains was a great experience. The only down fall is if your going as a tourist from vegas. Drive uber is expensive. Thankyou Grace for looking out for me. Sad note. I never got the photos made many phone call with bo return to the message. I checked my spam and nothing.

Hi With the unexpected summer heat during the week of your tour we pushed ride back so your group could ride when it was 103 degrees instead of 116 degrees. With the moon and stars shining when you return from your ride to the main site our. other clients find it awesome and romantic to eat under a moonlit sky with stars covering the sky and lanterns with guides present :)

We had such an amazing time. We went on the public tour at 7pm. The host was very good at giving directions and multiple ways to get there. We got there a little before 7. The guide was running a little late because she had a private tour right before, but we didn’t mind as we got to watch an incredible view and beautiful horses. When she arrived we filled out forms as she got the other horses ready. We had 7 total people on our ride including the guide. We were all quickly mounted and ready to go. We went single file and the trail was just stunning. It had a couple small slopes we went down and up and a great path. The guide was very friendly and kept up with conversations throughout the tour. Pictures were also taken throughout the ride. After the ride she handed out the dinners and tea. It was dark out after finishing the ride and with horses at home my fiancé and I wanted to help untack and load the trailer because the experience was so great and we could tell she appreciated the help. It was really nice during that process we each talked about our horses and found out some interesting things and just made the experience that much better because it felt like just like home to us. Afterwards the trailer pulled off and we hung out for a bit enjoying the views and ended up getting engaged! It was such an amazing night and a huge thanks to Graycie our guide for providing such a great experience. Would definitely recommend.
