This is a great activity. You are well looked after, no need to have doing kayaking before. Full instructions are given before we head out into water. The snorkeling is also great and can be done by keeping in low waters ot going further out.

Ismael and Monica at Kayak Lanzarote put on a fantastic tour for us! They provided wetsuits (optional), PFDs, and drybags for our beach towels. We started with a great paddling overview demo before the kayaking began, and Ismael offered excellent information about the natural formations throughout the entire trip. He also took fantastic pictures at key locations on the trip, and emailed the link for these souvenir photos when we got back to the shop. In a world where upcharges are becoming the norm, it was a wonderful surprise that the digital photos were INCLUDED in the tour with no additional fee! If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would. The only downside to the entire day was that Papagayo is a long way from the cruise pier... our taxis in each direction were around €70. But even with that factored in, it was still a great way to spend the day and we all enjoyed the adventure.

The crew were great, lots of interesting knowledge and facts about the local scenery were shared with us. Great instruction and safety considerations for the kayaking. Unfortunately, we didn't see anything when we snorkeled but this was due to the wave conditions on the day.

Well run Kayak family trip

This was a very well run trip. Life jackets were provided and also wetsuits (we didn't bother with these). Also snorkelling gear was available and a waterproof bag for the kayak. There were toilets and showers at the centre and clear instructions/tuition were given by the lovely Denise before we started. There were three staff with the group so everyone was well looked after. A very nice touch was that several photos were taken during the trip and these were made available free of charge. After we had finished, there was a nice short walk along the coast to the marina where there were plenty of places to eat and drink and also a taxi rank. The minor negatives - the only toilets in Papagayo beach stop were in a restaurant which they didn't let you use unless you bought something. Water, banana and chocolate bar were provided at the beach so we didn't bother with the restaurant. And it is up to you to get yourself to the Kayak centre and our taxi was quite expensive from Puerto Del Carmen. My wife and younger son found it quite hard work using the oars although we were never made to hurry to keep up and the group waited for any stragglers.

Worth the money - interesting locations

Need to do snorkelling off the kayak over reefs and instructors to hold onto the kayaks via a rope, beaching kayaks then snorkelling is good but add a little uniqueness to the event. Provide bottles of water not cups - inexpensive Enjoyed it

Thank you for your comment and tips, we are always open to fresh ideas! Although jumping into the water will be easy, getting back on top might not be possible for everyone, that´s why snorkeling from the beach will be best for everyone. The bambu cups you have used are being cleaned and re-used. This way we don´t use and throw away plastic! We are glad you enjoyed it!

Fun Water Tour, Once You Find It

Be careful with the meeting point. We almost missed the trip becuase we were told to meet at the The Mirador Papagayo hotel. We waited 30 minutes at the entrance. When we finally asked the hotel reception, they redirected us to a Kayak Sports shop down the street behind the hotel. Luckily the tour was just getting into the water, and we were able to still join. Once in the water the tour was fine. It is fast paced so be aware if you are a beginner. The guides were very nice! The snorkeling was just along a few rocks at the beach, but the break from kayaking was nice.

Thank you for your review. We´re sorry you almost missed the trip! We always send a message with the exact location to avoid this from happening. Our Center is, as you eventually found out, right at the bottom of that hotel, so it happens sometimes that people get confused. If people don´t arrive on time, we also try to message/call before leaving, so they don´t miss the trip. Again, sorry this almost happened to you. Nevertheless, I´m glad you found it and enjoyed the tour after all!!

We had never kayaked before so we were a bit apprehensive but Marlo our guide helped us feel at ease and we appreciated the introductory session. Although it was a very windy day we felt safe and really enjoyed the kayaking. We also enjoyed the picnic on the beach and opportunity to snorkel if we wanted. We felt it was very good value for money and would recommend it to anybody visiting lanzarote.

I was a little concerned taking my 10, 13 and 15 year old daughters that it'd be a bit much for them, and for me to keep an eye on them but needn't have worried. We had great fun playing on the kayaks, and its a lovely beach for snorkelling, with so many fish to see amongst the rocks. The guides were great too, super patient and helpful.

The actual kayaking was very fun. We were taken down a lovely route and given a brief verbal tour of the landscapes. However, the snorkeling gear my friend and I received were broken with no replacement. The biggest NO was the so-called "lunch included", as this was not the case. There is no "picnic" as we were only given a banana and chocolate bar each, which did not provide us with much energy to paddle back and carry the kayaks up the beach for them. We also had to trek to find a restaurant afterwards because lunch was not given.

Such a great experience to share with the family, I was with partner and 10 year old girl who all loved it Great views, loved it. Only improvement would have been the weather, but that's with the gods 🤪. Definitely do it again. Staff were all so nice.

Visited a lovely beach with excellent snorkelling. Tour leaders gave an excellent briefing before we started and were very attentive out on the water. Overall about 3.5 hours with snacks and water provided on the beach.

Great fun activity, no prior experience needed, my teenagers loved it as well! Beaches are more secluded than those in the main resorts so it is good to stop and snorkel in the Papagayo area. Guides were very friendly and well organised. Would definitely recommend.
