Food, History, Local charm

Elena was a wonderful host. We happened to be the only two people on this tour so we got extra special attention. Elena was a wealth of knowledge about local history, architecture, local current events, and of course all the local delicious foods! She took special care to take a detour to walk us by the library and we popped into a bookstore where she helped me navigate in order to find a book for Italian learners. The food on this tour was amazing and we were absolutely stuffed by the time we left lunch. We stopped at so many amazing little places tucked into side streets. Every selection was amazing and we have leftovers for a picnic at Funivia. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip if possible. Elena had so many amazing suggestions of not only things to do here in Lecco, but many of the other towns a train away. I am learning Italian, but I'm not a very good speaker. She was very kind and took some extra care to teach us how to order in the shops and restaurants. Highly recommended tour. Grazie mille!!!
