One of the highlights of our time in Bellagio. Chef Massimo makes the class fun and easy. And the lunch he personally prepares after the class is nothing short of amazing. The class is locared at Il Perlo hotel and restaurant.
The location has the most spectacular views of Bellagio and Lake Como. We loved the location and food so much we are already planning to return in a few days to dine there again. There is no way to overstate the beauty of this location. Absolutely the best views Bellagio has to offer.

Cook with a View certainly lived up to its name! The view from our restaurant was most likely the best view of Lake Como there was! Absolutely stunning! From there it only got better. Our new friends we made that joined us in our party were so much fun and yes... our Chef... spectacular! Starting off with creating potato gnocchi, to fresh pasta and then to tiramisu our expert chef helped us create the perfect Italian meal. The event culminated with our chef plating our creations complete with authentic sauces and a complimentary antipasta of cheese and Pastrami. Our tiramisu turned out as probably the best I've ever had! Kudos to our Chef and Cooking with a View...a wonderful time spent in Bellagio! Don't miss out on this experience!

This was by far the best cooking class we’ve ever taken and we do them everywhere we go. The chef was knowledgeable, friendly, and a joy to be with. The food was amazing. The view was breathtaking.

Book direct with hotel on line and save 50%!! Rediculous mark up on this event. We paid $316 with Viator and it is $160 thru hotel. Additionally they presented tickets to Villa Meltzi at 9:30 pm... It was closed! We were staying 20 mins away and leaving the next day so we could not use the tickets! The class was good for $160 but not $316.

This was a wonderful experience. Chef Max was personable, humorous, and such a great teacher. The cooking class was wonderful. Then Chef Max presented the pasta made in two incredible sauces. We learned so much from him and had a great time watching him and working along side of him in the kitchen. It was an amazing time. We’d rate this a a 11/10!

My daughter and I really enjoyed the class. There was a total of six of us and the chef was patient and explained every step of making the pasta and tiramisu. The meal we had after making everything was delicious and paired with wine. Unfortunately it was a very cloudy and rainy day however if it hadn’t been there would have a beautiful view. The restaurant was definitely high up in Bellagio. I would definitely take the class if I was at Lake Como again.

Chef Alessandro taught us proper preparation of both potato gnocchi and dough for pasta. He also prepared my pasta meal gf due to allergy. Our group of 6 all participated in the preparation of the dinner. Even though we were not at Villa Melzi, our evening was fantastic. Highly recommend.

The setting is incredible- a lovely little hotel and restaurant perched above the lake. Very nice that they provided transportation up the hill. The meal was delicious and the wine pairings excellent. The only thing that would have made it better is if they had space for everyone to cook all at once rather than taking turns which made the cooking part a bit long and less interesting. Be sure to ask for the Villa Meltzi tickets- we forgot and didn’t get them.

The pictures do not do this place justice! The view alone is worth it but it was an amazing foodie experience as well. Chef was very kind and patient. We made gnocchi and fettuccine from scratch and also tiramisu! The meal was superb. There was complementary Prosecco and wine paired with a few courses! We also had gazpacho, a delicious salad! The chef prepared a yummy meat sauce to go with the fettuccine and a Gorgonzola and pistachio sauce with the gnocchi! The views from Il Perlo were too beautiful for words. My best meal and experience by far in the lake area and we have done our fair share of fine dining in this region. This would be very romantic for couples!

We had originally booked this class, but due to having a gluten-free member of our party, Taste of Italy changed our booking to the class in the city center of Bellagio. Chef Alessandro was very welcoming and immediately poured us all a glass of Prosecco! We made gnocchi, tagletelle and tiramisu all with gluten free options. Alessandro was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about Italian cuisine. We all agreed this was the best way to spend a rainy afternoon in Bellagio!
