Cattle Car Kimono

Two stars is generous for the experience, as the place is small, rundown and crowded, and I felt like cattle being pushed from station to station. The upsell is strong (I succumbed!) , and —in addition to the $175 I prepaid—I spent another $125 to get the kimono set I was expecting. The kimonos themselves were lovely, hence the 2 stars. There are dozens of kimono shops in Kyoto, and you do not need a reservation. My suggestion is to take your business elsewhere.
