    Jadi Batek Gallery is easily accessed with the MRT system. Take the Gate B exit at station Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), turn right to Jalan Delima and walk toward the junction at Jalan Inai. Turn left into Jalan Inai and we are the 5th building on your right hand side after the Villa Inai apartment.

Fun and easy!

This was so fun and a great change of pace from sightseeing tours! They made it look so easy and helped us through the whole process. Only drawback was finding out when we got there that if we wanted the piece to be colour fasted and wax removed, it would take another day or so. If we knew that beforehand we could have booked that activity earlier in our stay as we were leaving the next morning.

Batik time out

Intense activity. Requires a steady hand. Good explanations and demonstrations. Suitable for primary school age and up. Pleasant cool surroundings in a big area with chance to watch batik being hand drawn too.

If you are looking for something to do on a hot day would recommend. Briefly learnes about it. Try it out at least once. Wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but but it's a process. It's a great souvenir to being back home. You have the option to take it back as is which takes 10 mins to dry with wax left on or you come back the following day to pick it up with wax taken off.

First Batik Making Experience!

Such a peaceful, fun & creative experience! Everyone was so helpful and making a batik scarf is a one of a kind souvenir! The shop is excellent as well, picked up batik shorts, scarves and tops for the whole family. Look for Ms. Carol she is extremely helpful, patient and has great suggestions when it comes to items on the shop. The actual process of using wax and paints to make your own batik was a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you!

The staff gave easy and clear instructions. There were so many different designs to choose from! If you want to use it as a picture you don’t need to come back, but if you want to be able to wash it you need to come back the next day.

If upper looking for something artsy and hands on this is the perfect activity! You get s really nice introduction into the art and culture of Malaysian artist fabric making. The activity in itself was so relaxing and enjoyable, i thoroughly enjoyed it! 20/10✨

We started with a short informative tour to learn the steps and process and then we jumped into our design work. We were given the option of freely drawing our own patterns or selecting from pre-drawn traditional templates, which is the option we went with. From there we were given individual instructions and help with applying first the wax and then the paint to the fabric. Everything went super smooth, and they even let us work an extra hour longer than scheduled because we were enjoying the painting process so much. Be warned: if you wish to have a fully finished product to take home, they will need to keep your work overnight to finish drying and prepping it! This was not a problem for us, and they contacted us early the next morning to pick up our work. They were even matted them in cardstock frames!

This was such a great experience and a great end to my trip to Malaysia. I would strongly recommend this experience but keep in mind that if you wish to remove your wax for white outlines, you will need an extra day to do so. I took mine with wax as I was flying the day after. Everything you need is explained to you, the school use stencils so you will come away with a great piece. Strongly advise to try!
