Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel by the Dead Sea, then travel to Um er-Rasas, a UNESO-listed archeological site that was founded as a Roman military camp in the 3rd century. Tour the site with a local guide.

Then, stop at the historic city of Madaba. Find out how Madaba became renowned for its bright mosaic floors, and stop in the Saint George Orthodox Church to see a Byzantine map from the 6th century.

From Madaba, continue to Mount Nebo, an arid ridge with sweeping views across the countryside. This is where Moses is believed to have seen the “promised land,” and the ruins of a Byzantine church have been discovered on the mountain.

The final stop of the day is a mosaics workshop. Watch artisans use centuries-old techniques to create mosaics.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your Dead Sea hotel.
