Itinerary

Meet a driver at your accommodations in the Dead Sea, then travel to Jerash in a comfortable, climate-controlled vehicle. Transport times vary, but Jerash is roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes from the northern part of the Dead Sea.

Upon arrival at the ancient city, a guide will join you for a “classic” tour of Jerash, covering many of the site's highlights and most important places. See the Oval Plaza, a sprawling public space lined with 1st-century Ionic columns, then explore Jerash’s theaters and temples. Another highlight of Jerash is the towering Arch of Hadrian, a towering gateway built to welcome the Emperor Hadrian into the city.

Throughout the tour, the guide will help bring ancient Jerash to life, sharing stories, history, and facts about the culture and beliefs that once thrived in the desert city. Following your time at Jerash, begin the return trip to the Dead Sea, where this tour concludes at your original departure point.
