I would like to draw your attention to the below list of issues experienced during the Istanbul Bosphorus River Cruise on New Years Eve. We paid over $250 per person for this event and as such expected an evening of flawless service in a luxury setting. What we received was the absolute opposite. It is my hope that, after reading, you will not make the same mistake I did by booking this shocking tour. 1. We were told that the event would begin at 7.30. We were then advised of a pickup time of 7.15-8.15. Eventually we were picked up around 8.30 and taken to the boat. 2. Upon arrival, we found that we were not sharing a quiet table for 2 with a window to view the fireworks. We were sat at a table for 4 by the cold door with no access to views outside - the only window nearby was shattered and unusable. 3. We asked to be moved to one of the tables of 2, but we were told that these were reserved. We do not understand how these reservations took precedent over ours given that we reserved back on 25th August and paid $570 to do so. 4. There was mess and trash all around, staff were arguing, smoking indoors(when there were clear no smoking signs all round the boat) and it was clear that no one knew what was going on. 5. By 9.30 the boat still hadn’t departed and more guests were being squashed on board - the staff were haphazardly getting out folding tables and chairs to make space for these new arrivals. It was almost impossible to get up and down due to how close together the tables were. We began talking to one of the extra tables which had been added by us - they said that they had bought the tickets that day and paid a fraction of what we had. 6. The boat, which advertised a 7.30 start time, departed over two hours late at 9.50. Only starters had been served by this point. Starters were only a few dips and small salad with a bread basket shared amongst our table (whom we did not know) 7. As the evening progressed, the ‘free drinks’ which were advertised were a clear lie. Large glasses of beer were replaced with tiny cups, and when I ordered a whisky I was told I could buy the bottle or pay by the glass - the voucher stated that alcoholic drinks were included and nowhere was it stipulated that we would have to pay extra. 8. The bathrooms were dirty, didn’t lock, had no paper, had a hole in the door and consisted of 3 cubicles to serve a boat containing around 1,000 people. This led to queues in excess of 30 minutes. 9. The evening’s entertainment was terrible. Our table was so far from the dance floor that we could see nothing. There was a ‘belly dancer’ who behaved more like a stripper, and had money stuffed in her bra by guests (including by a child). When the entertainment finished, we had to detour to another boat so that they could jump ship and do it all again. 10. Main courses were eventually served at 11.10. These consisted of low quality meat, wet salad and undercooked rice slapped on a place. We barely ate it. 11. We then made our way out to the tiny outdoor space at 11.30 to ensure we were among the few who could actually see the fireworks. We then noticed that all the Christmas decorations were on the floor, trampled, broken and left by staff. 12. The photos used to advertise the fireworks was completely misleading - despite being right at the front, the bridge which was letting off the fireworks was miles from the boat and we were pointing in the wrong direction to see any of them. 13. When we re-entered the bar area after midnight, we were advised by the bar staff that they were no longer serving after midnight - even though we did not get off the boat until 1.25. 14. We got off the boat, and were ready to get in a taxi just to get away from this mess and enjoy what remained of our night, but we were harried onto a coach and told it would take ten minutes to get us to the hotel. It took 35 minutes. This entire event was abysmal from start to finish. The way that it was marketed and promoted on the web site is a total lie. We have never spent this much on an event before, but wanted to make a special evening to celebrate in Istanbul, so spent more than we had spent on our hotel (4 starts for 4 nights) in order to do this. If we had spent 40-50 Euros we would not be complaining, but given the price point of this event it was completely missold, over priced and a clear example of profiteering over providing a memorable and high quality service.

It was a wonderful night ! I went there with my husband to celebrate new year’s event 2022 .. we had a lot of fun.. however, we had an exhausting long trip to go back to our hotel ..

The worst experience ever. Worst food, bad service. Open doors where you can't even take off your jackets for dinner. Artificial fire, three rockets. The year-end food, a dish with a chicken thigh, rice, potato puré and salad. It costs 250€. The drink, the box wine. I have never seen anything like that. Worst experience ever.

Bonne soirée du réveillon sur le bosphore. Le repas n était pas exceptionnel mais les serveurs nombreux et actifs. Dommage que le chanteur ne se soit cantonné quasiment qu à des chansons turques. Heureusement la bonne humeur de certains clients sur le bateau a animé la soirée.
