Prepare to get soaked as you navigate down the Lütschine River through class III-IV rapids. This half-day white-water rafting trip takes you on an exhilarating ride through the Interlaken valley before you float along tranquil Alpine waters to the Lake of Brienz. Your morning or afternoon white-water rafting adventure begins with pickup by minivan from either of the Interlaken train stations,or seven local municipalities. After transport to the base camp for your gear, you’re transferred by coach to Grindelwald valley. The 30-minute drive passes a fairy-tale Swiss landscape of chalets and grazing cows.
On arrival at the put-in point, you’ll learn paddling skills during an in-depth safety briefing. Then slip on your provided wetsuit, neoprene booties, life jacket and a helmet, and climb into your eight-passenger raft with your professional river guide.
Pushing away from the bank into the glacial flow of the Lütschine River, your guide navigates the raft through continuous class III rapids that race into the Interlaken valley at speeds of up to 8 mph (13 kph). Then, hold on tight and feel your adrenaline pumping and as you maneuver through breaking waves and raging currents in class IV rapids.
You’re rewarded with postcard-perfect Alpine scenery and time to relax as the rafts calmly drift down to the Lake of Brienz. Dip in for a quick swim in the lake before returning to base camp, where you’re offered the option of a hot shower along with a cold beer or cup of coffee.
If you wish, purchase any digital photos taken of your rafting excursion, before you're transferred back to your hotel or railway station.

We had an awesome time. Our instructor Morgan was amazing, the team was amazing. This was our first time rafting and I was a bit nervous, listen to the instructors they know best and you will have a great experience.

The white water rafting itself was fun. They do not prepare you in advance for the fact that you are also signing up for a hiking adventure as well. You have to hike 3 times throughout the whole experience on dangerous rocks in wet suit shoes. Part of the river is actually closed and you have to get off half way through and climb up and down again. You have to help lift the raft up and down the dangerous rock areas. The staff is nice and friendly. I honestly wouldn’t go or recommend taking this exact experience to a friend. I don’t know if it’s the specific company or the area itself but I didn’t love it. I also got a blister on my foot from the wet suit shoes.

Fun & Professional Guides. We were laughing as much as working hard. Equipment in top condition. Safety is paramount to them, so you learn what to do beforehand.
So much fun paddling the river as takes some effort.
My 1st time with this sort of thing. Done with our adult family.

The trip was really good. 2 areas of rafting on the trip. The guides were really good. I would recommend the trip, my 15 year old loved it. Only disappointment was having to pay to park the car when it’s on an industrial park which I thought was a little cheeky as the tour is quiet expensive.

What a fun excursion. We rafted all the way to the lake and did some floating and swimming. I got picked up at Interlaken West station which was a minute away from my hotel so it’s very convenient.

It's a amazing trip! Absolutely worth it. Very organized, fun, and exiting!! Eoin (Owen) was a great guide to made the trip even better.
Make sure you coordinate your rides to and from the meeting point, it's about a 40 minute walk from the train station.

We had an awesome day on the Lutschine river! Outdoor tour company was well organized, gear was all included, boats and gear all very clean and in great condition. Heck YES! this was wayyy worth the price! not only was the experience amazing, but our rafting guides were superb! Super funny and engaging with the group, informative on basic rafting skills, and actually we used our new learned skills while on the 4 hour tour.. I kinda wish it was longer, maybe even 5 hours,.. my wife and i were having soo much fun that time went by quickly... kudos to the staff that were with us,, all the people there were amazing! they need a raise!
