Some think that paragliding in the Swiss Alps is only for adventure sports professionals. Yet, this beginner paragliding experience from Mürren offers a fun way for first-timers to float over the mountains, flying in tandem with an experienced pilot. With your pilot taking the lead, your only task is to enjoy the ride, soaking up views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, and the Lauterbrunnen Valley below.

AIRTIME PARAGLIDING MEETING POINT: - Exit the Mürren Schilthornbahn Cablecar Station and turn left - Walk 100 metres - You will see the Airtime Meeting Point flag to your left, and Airtime Meeting Point bench to your right The end point of the tour is not the same on the meeting point.

We land by the Schilthornbahn Carpark. Here you can take the public bus back to Lauterbrunnen or walk the 45 mins along the valley back to Lauterbrunnen.
Itinerary
Your adventure starts by meeting the team in Murren, and walking together to the take-off field.
Get fitted with a harness and helmet, then listen to an orientation that includes a rundown of take-off, flying and landing. Your guide is a professionally trained pilot with extensive experience. Depending on the weather, you may also be outfitted with jackets or shoes.
Strap in with your pilot and take a walk or jog down a gentle slope, then take off into the open sky. Relish the feeling of weightlessness as you glide over the Alps, Schilthorn and the Lauterbrunnen U-Valley, with spectacular views throughout, before landing at Stechelberg Schilthornbahn.

This paragliding experience is worth every penny! This was my second time and it was way better than than my first time. My instructor was absolutely wonderful and sweet! 12/10 recommend if visiting Switzerland every single time. Only thing that bummed me out was my fathers paragliding instructor took terrible photos for $40 which was a bit disappointing…but besides that best experience of my life so far!

Spectacular! We had the best time, it truly is the experience of a lifetime. The views were incredible and guides were so friendly and safe and fun. This is a can’t miss experience. There are a lot of options in this area and it’s expensive, so if you are trying to decide, put this at the top of your list. Also, there are incredible hikes from Mürren so you can make a day of it.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience. I have a fear of falling but was hoping I’d be able to go ahead with the experiencing this in one of the premier paragliding locations in the world. My wife also went and expected to be nervous but wasn’t. Michale my guide was super helpful- I told him in that I was a bit nervous both before the flight and shortly after takeoff and he was so good. It still took my brain a few minutes to settle in and accept it and then I really enjoyed everything. I was ready to do it again when I landed. And I’d absolutely recommend this. If you have any desire to do this it’s an awesome experience.

WOW!!! What an experience! I can't remember my guide's name (she's from Czech Republic) but she was wonderful with me. My husband loved his guide too (from Australia). I had brain surgery a year ago, but was able to run off the cliff and soar like a bird!

Excellent first experience paragliding with Airtime! Marika made everything so easy, explaining what to expect and helped ease my nerves. The takeoff and landing were much easier than I had expected based on her explanation. Marika was understanding and didn’t push me to do more than I was comfortable with while still having an amazing flight!

Oh my god! What an awesome experience! My 3 friends and myself Paraglided in Murren- Lauterbrunnen- Schilthorn tandem ride with pilot Ben K., Nick ad 2 other skilled pilots floated high with us over the Swiss Alps of Lauterbrunner, Murren, Shilthorn, falls, mountains Eiger, and amazing other mountains! Experience is phenomenal. Airtime paragliding made the experience effortless, it was amazing. I would recommend going for the longer duration option. We were first timer and nervous, but once air borne, we thought we should have booked for longer duration. The views of the valleys are fantastic and their arranged paragliders were all experienced. We paid them 40CHF for each person for the photos and videos.

Really fun and well organized. We got into the air about 10 minutes after arriving at the launch site, and had about 20 minutes in the air. Felt safe. Quality of pictures and videos, which are available for purchase after activity, can really vary depending on your pilot. The company could get more consistent photo/video results by providing some standardized training to pilots ... but this is a nitpick and not really related to the excellent glide experience.

This was a 100/10 incredible experience of a lifetime. Words don't exist to describe how cool and how beautiful it was.
Weather was a bit sketchy but my pilot was still keen to go and we flew through the clouds.

I am extremely afraid of heights, but couldn’t come to Switzerland without experiencing this. I felt so safe with all of the guides. My kids got to try out the “rollercoaster” which they haven’t stopped talking about, and I got to calmly soar through the sky. Unforgettable. The most incredible experience of a lifetime.

Incredible!!!! Did this experience with my family (kids aged 6-15). The guides made us feel so comfortable and safe. It was an adventure of a lifetime. Lauterbrunnen valley from 3000ft up was stunning. If you have the chance, do this! It was worth every penny.
