It is important to be aware that you will be charged a Pickup fee if you are greater than 10km from cbd of Roche Estate Pokolbin. HV Tours can pick up from Singleton, Maitland or Newcastle for a fee. Please notify Hunter Valley Tours when you book. We DO NOT pick up from Sydney, NSW. We can arrange a private transfer vehicle to drive you to Hunter Valley to meet with us with advanced notice. We can meet you at Morisset Train Station for a fee. Please call us direct on tour prices and fees when you book your tour if you are outside 10km from cbd Pokolbin.

We had a fantastic experience in the beautiful Hunter Valley. From start to finish, the day was perfectly planned, relaxed, and incredibly enjoyable.

We had an amazing day with Julie! The tour was really well organised and thought out, every stop was interesting, unique and of course had great wine options! We met some lovely people on the tour as well, which made the day even better than expected. 10/10 would recommend (especially for a girls trip) but my partner and I also had a blast.

Ross was our driver. He was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all our questions. He took the extra trouble to go back to a stop and look for a missing item, he pulled us out of a tasting briefly when he spotted a wedgetail eagle and he made sure his "American cousins" saw some kangaroos. An excellent tour and gracious tour guide.
Our only recommendation would be to pick a seated cheese stop if that continues to be part of the tour. It felt rushed.

Your day sounds like you really enjoyed yourself.
I will take your feedback about the cheese tasting onboard. Its a bit hard during a busy day with multiple groups coming in to the cheese dairy to have sit down tastings, especially as they are still a working cheese making factory but I will talk to the owners and see what can be done to make the experience a little less rushed and sit down style.

Loved it! Julie was fantastic. We came as a couple and went to 4 winery’s in total, as well as a chocolate and cheese shop. Really enjoyed all the stops, especially the first (Draytons), Rob was fantastic there and we tried a stunning amount and variety.

Nice company, fine wines, food and cheese. And we got to see live kangaroos on multiple occasions! All in a beautiful scenery. This was very much worth the money.

We visited some lovely vineyards and the hosts were very welcoming. The wines were excellent. The driver (Bruce) was great and very relaxed. The lunch was a picnic and similar to the chees board morning snack, rather than the sample menu on the advert, which was disappointing.

Great experience. Our accommodation was 20km out of the Hunter but Julie was nice enough to organise a lift for us. All vineyards were great. Food was pretty awesome. Would gladly do it again! Thanks for the great birthday weekend

Friendly bus driver. Plenty of & good range of wines to taste at smaller family owned wineries. Pick up & drop off at accommodation. Shared the experience with 3 other couples from Australia & NZ.

The experience was great and enjoyed the wines . Having done a few wine tours it was a little disappointing that the driver did not explain the various stops as the last visit was food tasting only and the penultimate one was a “bottle shop” . The lunch was excellent

Im glad you felt the experience was great and you enjoyed your wines but you were a 'little' disappointed.
Unfortunately your driver became a bit unwell with an ear ache during your tour but didnt want to draw attention to it as the day was your wine tour day out in the Hunter Valley. Im sorry you felt a little disappointed by his not explaining the various stops to you.
The 'penultimate' stop you described as a bottle shop is a gentleman who's an actual wine maker/producer in his own right along with making his own spirits. Small batch wine makers are very diverse as the wine industry in the Hunter Valley is very layered and not all wine and spirit makers look alike. Again I'm so deeply sorry, you must not have not picked this up during the talk and tasting there.
Our tours are designed for you to experience the many different styles of wine making from the big to the small and food places such as cheeses, olive and olive oils along with chocolates,
Im so glad your lunch venue was excellent. I enjoy visiting 4 Pines, the Farm. The lunch and atmosphere there is always enjoyable, especially the farm animals.
The Cheese and Chocolate stop is in the tour description, a cheese and chocolate stop where you get to sample various yummy cheeses and chocolates and get to buy something to take away with you. The shop is pretty amazing as you would have seen with a bit of something for everyone. Im again surprised the cheese shop owners did not point out there was alcohol there for sale as well, they usually do.
Im taking from this on a whole you enjoyed your wine and food experience day out with us except you were a little disappointed that your driver became unwell and didnt talk to you enough and the cheese and chocolate shop was food only.
