Nice day. 150 minute drive to Hunter Valley. Each of the 4 wineries we visited gave us a significant amount of wine. The whole group was very “happy”. Very comfortable transportation.

The tour guide was knowledgeable, and the wine tasting was a nice experience. No separate chocolate or cheese workshop visits though one tasting had pairing cheese and another one with pairing chocolate. The gin and vodka place was great.

Good but could improve cheese part of tour by going to proper cheesemaker

Oakvale and Bimbasgen were awesome, the chocolate and vodka tasting were good. The cheese at Mc caffreya was poor and let down the tour as no real focus on cheese and average wine. The guy who was hosting was not as good and had no knowledge of cheese.

The cheese is offered as part of a wine pairing experience, and it is not manufactured at the winery but rather at a local cheese manufacturer. Jackson hosted our tour of 11 willing wine tasters to small boutique wineries which were eager to have us with private tastings to enjoy and be educated about their wines. Such a different experience, so much fun. Enjoyed every sip and bite!!!!!! Lunch perfect. The day was very good value. Highly recommend. Thanks Dave’s Tours.

We enjoyed the variation of simply wine tasting. Visiting for pairings was a great change. Then throwing in a Gin/Vodka distillery was a great way to end the day. There was a varied group of people from around the world which was great.

Todd (who works for Dave's) was fantastic, knowledgeable and made the experience amazing, we had the best day and were able to see, experience and taste many different types of wines, go to distileries, have lunch as well as try great cheeses, chocolates and fudge. The area is absolutely beautiful. Bus airconditioned, we got to choose music, never in bus long before the next stop, bought far more than we intended but had a great day. Able to cancel up until the day before also. Highly recommended!

Great driver, well organized tour, but okay winery selections

Our driver was really fun and everything was organized really well. My rating came down really due to the selection of wineries. It's unfortunate the tour does not tell you which wineries they are going to beforehand (I also tried reaching out to them to ask before booking but did not get a response) - I probably would have opted for another way of being transported around and picked other wineries. The cheese/chocolate tasting is also not a wine paired cheese/chocolate tasting but actually just a cheese/chocolate tasting. But the driver was very sweet and the entire group made the entire day pretty fun.

Hi Murrel, Sorry to hear your experience wasn't up to scratch. I have looked at your booking and we had a Covid issue with that day and couldn't accommodate all our guests, so we did use another company for your bookings which we did inform you of. That is also the reason we couldn't confirm the wineries earlier in the week. I have checked and the partner company does not provide a pairing as we do, so i feel you have not gotten the level of tour we provide. We are greatly affected by Covid, but we do have standards to uhold, so sorry for this and will contact you directly to see how we can fix it up. Regards, Gregg

We had an excellent tour, Todd our tour guide was great! I particularly liked the stops that were paired with the cheese and chocolate. It was cool to see how food pairing can change how you taste wine. Overall, had an amazing day would highly recommend this tour!

From the moment we were picked up we were made feel welcomed , Greg (aka Dave ) went above and beyond to make our day a memorable experience and we can’t thank him enough. I have been to the hunter and on other tours ( not with Dave obviously ) but this was by far 100% the BEST. He takes customer service to the next level and more. Good luck to his offsider Todd who was training in the day you have some big shoes to fill but no doubt you’ll be just as amazing . Will definitely be booking your services in the future !!!!
