We had a great tour to Hunter Valley wine region We visited 3 wineries, we had a cheese tasting and a very nice lunch at the golf course resort And on top of it we saw kangaroos very closely It was a great day!

Relaxed tour of the Hunter Valley visiting small wineries.

Our driver/guide Rafael was great. It was a relaxed visit to three wineries that included lunch and a cheese plate. We visited three small less known wineries. At the last one we saw kangaroos resting in the shade at a distance.

This is a long day so be prepared for a lot of travel. But a great experience, beautiful sights and new wines and good food. Recommend it. Our tour guide Rafael was awesome!

Highly recommended for this tour! The tour guide for the hunter valley tour on 4-Jan is very informative and kindly helpful to provide introduction. The schedule controlled is suitable and the tour to 3 bouquet vineyards is really nice. Just a simple suggestion that it will be great for more introductions of vineyards and wine production.

Jeff was an awesome guide for our small group of 6. He was so entertaining & gracious. Jeff knew a lot about the hunter valley area & shared great tidbits. You definitely have to pace yourself as a lot of good wine and cheese & chocolates.

It was a good day trip. It could’ve run longer to go to more vineyards but only 3 were visited. The cheese tasting was nice but would’ve been better being paired with wine .

We are unable to extend the day due to legal driving time limits for our guides when driving to and from Sydney, and have deliberately limited the number of winery visits to three so that the tastings are not rushed, unlike some of our competitors. Long day but worth the trip

Mixed bag

Bit of a mixed bag. Information was a bit conflicting regarding pick up times. Booking shows 8am departure & 7.45 meet. When we arrived at 7.46 our guide had us straight on the mini bus and off, we were the last pick up but apparently another couple missed the pick up as they didn't arrive at 7.45am. Coach was super clean etc but, not sure if it was a combination of road or vehicle, but it was a really uncomfortable 2 and a half hour drive to 1st winery. One quick comfort break. The wineries, all boutique as advertised were a mixed bag for us, 1st was great because of the guy doing the tasting, knowledgeable and great fun, although wine not for us as really young reds. 2nd, our favourite for wines. Really good lunch at a golf course, good choice of foods. Cheese tasting was good, small portions, well presented, pricey to buy. 3rd, not for us,. Problem with drop off as, with only one other couple on the bus, we presumed we were getting dropped off at our pick up point as nothing different was discussed. Driver then said he thought we were getting off at a stop we didn't even know where it was. Kept apologising, offering money for taxi, said he wasn't sure how to get us to our drop off. I Googled and it was 5 minutes drive from our pick up point! My husband is 71, we had bottles of wine, cheese, chocolate, all sorts to carry. This went on for over 10 minutes, think driver thought we would just say drop us of. In the end we were about 5 minutes away from our original pick up. Please be clear, from the off, where the drop off point are, then you can decide if you want to either carry wine, not buy any wine as you will have to carry it from a different point or not bother in the 1st place. We would, sadly, pass on this one.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for any confusion of the pickup times. These pickups are shown in Viator between 7am and 7:45am, but unfortunately the tour departure defaults to 8am on confirmations which causes confusion. We are working with Viator to fix this. We are very glad that you enjoyed the wine tasting variety and the lunch and cheese tasting. Our Mercedes mini vans have a maximum of 14 people in reclining coach seats, so we are sorry that you found the drive a bit uncomfortable to the Hunter Valley. I am sorry if there was additional confusion for your driver as to where you were to get off the vehicle. We plan to drop everyone back to their pickup location, or as nearby to your hotel as possible in the heavy evening traffic. We are reviewing our communications to ensure that the correct information is captured and passed on in the future to avoid the sort of inconvenience that you experienced. Poor service

The day before tour a very snarky person call to say my “Blue Mt” trip was ready on Monday. I said I had a wine trip planned for that day and Wed was the Blue Mt trip. She said you want to change it to Wed? After a 14 hour plane ride I was now confused. Their person changed our tour. I sent the confirmation and booking number back to this agency. I still thought I was texting with the Blue Mt tour. We showed up at correct time for wine tour, 7:45am. I texted we were there. At 8 M called me. You changed your tour. M accused me of making the mistake and then said her employee said the wrong tour but it had been changed to Wed. And spot had been filled. Too late!!! Not even pleasant. We don’t recommend this tour.

The refund for the wine tour that you missed out on was approved through Viator on Monday. We try to reconfirm with all passengers the day prior to travel, and it was most unfortunate that we accidentally entered the Blue Mountains tour name instead of the wine tour in your confirmation message (we do both) and neither of us realised that the Blue Mountains tour that you were referring to was actually booked with another company. After a long flight I am sure that it was the last thing that you wanted to have to deal with. We are very sorry that you missed your Hunter Valley tour with us on Monday when we thought that you wished to move it to Wednesday after the confusion over which tour was being discussed. We pride ourselves on bring professional and friendly in all of our dealings with clients before and during our tours, and are disappointed that you were not able to enjoy our Hunter Valley wine tasting experience as planned on this occasion. Steve, our tour guide, was second to none - engaging; made sure we knew each other’s name, where we were from and what we did which created an immediate feeling of community; shared a lot of information along the way including some of his own travel experiences; checked in about our experience on this tour all along; clear and direct communicator. The tour itself is good and well paced. Visited boutique wineries that we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. Each had a unique story and wines to taste that expanded our knowledge and taste of Australian wines. The cheese stop was a favourite of ours - delicious and informative! The stop for lunch provided a little time for shopping in addition to a tasty and generous meal.

I had to say main high light of this tour was Jason, the tour guide. From the start, Jason engaged everyone in the group and provided insightful information not only about Hunter valley but also about Australian. His humour was contagious and made everyone laugh. The lunch was nice at Oaks golf course. However, the selection of wineries for testing was not that great. I would say bring in some of the popular wineries in Hunter valley into play.

This tour was fabulous beyond expectations! Scotty was very knowledgeable about every topic. He kept us entertained thru the entire trip and made sure we saw kangaroos. The trip included a coffee break/stop that was not expected. The lunch was very tasty.
