Awesome day trip to Hue

A great private tour with a curated itinerary of the key historical sights of Hue. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and made the experience so memorable. The driver was friendly and professional transporting us to and from Hoi An and between various landmarks. The lunch provided at a local restaurant was superb! Would highly recommend this as a day trip out of Hoi An to explore something new.

This experience was the highlight of my stay in Central Vietnam! Both the driver, Mr. Hoa, and guide, Phi, were incredible and had so much knowledge to share. I also very much appreciated how personable and accommodating they were given the heat level, rearranging the order of activities, and also providing water and an umbrella to ensure I was well taken care of. Can’t forget to mention that the included lunch was delicious - I was able to try several dishes, all amazing. This is a tour I will recommend to anyone visiting in the future. I’m excited to return to Hue again and continue learning more about the history and culture of Vietnam.

The drive to Hue from Hoi An is long 3+ hours. The driver Mr Tan was courteous, friendly and although did not speak English well he went out of his way to make the excursion pleasant. I would skip the mountain pass for it is really unnecessary with no stops and took too much time. Lang Co beach was a nice stopover and picturesque. Hue was great. The tomb, pagoda and citadel were worth the trip. The dragon boat was really unnecessary. Sue, my guide in Hue was awesome. She explained things yet gave you space and not overwhelming. 5 star for the guide and driver. 4 for the tour because of the unnecessary things like the pass and the boat.

Best tour of Hue - highly recommended

This is an excellent trip worth recommending if you are in Da Nang or Hoi An area and are still looking for another quality experience. In our case, we were picked up from our Hoi An hotel by a courteous driver who drove us to Hue (3 hours). Along the way there were several stops to take pictures (mainly Hi Van Pass and Lang Co Beach) have a refreshment and use the restrooms. In Hue we were met by our local guide Fi who turned out to be a charming and informative lady with perfect English and engaging personality. Our tour included all promised items: the tomb of emperor Kai Dinh, Thien Mu pagoda and Hie Imperial City, all done in a leisurely and entertaining fashion. Half-way through the afternoon we enjoyed an elaborate five-course lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back to Hoi An the driver used a new highway through scenic, jungle-covered mountains. Overall this was a great experience, we learned a lot and only regretted not being able to spend more time in the charming city of Hue itself but that would call for a whole separate visit, which we are already planning to make. Thank you, Fi for an unforgettable time.

Our guide in Hue Long was excellent - he was knowledgeable, provided the right information and was flexible (given we were on a private tour) - absolutely no concerns about him. Our rating is basis the fact we had a three hour car ride with a driver who spoke no English - we were supposed to see things on the way which we couldn’t understand. The tour should be arranged such that the guide joins from Hoi an or at least DaNang so that the sites on the way can be properly covered.

Tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of our questions and was very patient with those of us who took many photographs. She ordered an excellent lunch introducing us to local Hue specialties. The driver was excellent and was calm and collected through bad weather and heavy traffic. We always felt that we were safe and in good hands.

Scenic drive and great history lesson

The ride from Hoi An to Hue was beautiful. We took the Hai Van Pass and stopped to take pictures of the great views and then made our way to Hue where I met my tour guide, Fy. She is very knowledge and gave great insights into the history of the sites in Hue. It was a long day but well worth the trip.
