Stood up

Michael_L, Mar 2026
I booked the tour well in advance. The tour bus was supossed to pick us up at our hotel. We were waiting outside 15 minutes early and waited 45 minutes. No call no show. Ruined our vacation day. No apologies from the company no offers of restitution. But, they took our money instantly, and when we requested a refund through the app, they said 3-5 business days. What a sham.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

We sincerely regret the inconvenience you experienced with your reservation and fully understand the frustration this situation may have caused. We would like to clarify, in a transparent manner, that the issue originated directly from the booking platform, as the experience was not available at that time. Nevertheless, we take responsibility for the follow-up and apologize for the lack of timely communication. We want to reassure you that this is not a scam under any circumstances. Your refund is already in process, in accordance with the platform’s timelines, and will be reflected within the indicated period. We would greatly appreciate it if, when leaving your review, it could be based on the tour experience once it has been taken, as situations like this do not reflect the quality of our service. Please feel free to reach out for any further assistance. We truly hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Great tour, highly recommend

Tanya_S, Feb 2026
Our guide was Hernan he did an excellent job of communicating with us, explaining and educating us not only topics pertinent to the tour but also Mexican culture and the country. He did not rush us and gave us recommendations on a restaurant and what food to order once we arrived in Tequila

Tequila Time

SherriAnn_C, Jan 2026
Our tequila tour was absolutely amazing, and our guide Ramon made the entire experience unforgettable! He was funny, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every step of the process in a way that kept us engaged and entertained. The first stop at a family farm with Roberto was a standout—he walked us through how agave is grown and harvested, and his explanations really brought the process to life. The second part of the tour showed us how agave becomes tequila, and the tasting that followed was elegant, informative, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Ramon’s presentation was spot-on throughout. The final stop was a tour of the charming city of Tequila itself. Definitely take Ramon’s recommendation for lunch and grab a drink at the pavilion—everything there was excellent. The only thing I’d change would be to allow a bit more free time to shop around town, since the schedule gets tight after lunch. Overall, this tour is a must-do for anyone who wants to see the tequila-making process up close, taste incredible drinks, and learn from passionate guides like Ramon and Roberto!

Great Tequila Tour with Ramon

SherriAnn_C, Jan 2026
We had an incredible experience touring the city of Tequila with Ramon! He was amazing—super knowledgeable and made the entire tour so much fun. Ramon gave the tour in English, and his explanations were clear, engaging, and full of interesting details about the history and culture. He also had a great sense of humor, which made everyone feel comfortable and entertained the whole time. If you’re visiting Tequila, I highly recommend booking a tour with Ramon—you’ll learn a lot and have a great time doing it!

Simply amazing day trip!

It was an excellent experience in Tequila, and I especially appreciated our local guide, who shared a wealth of information about both Tequila and Mexico. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the real Mexico.

Great day in Tequila

Sharon_R, Apr 2025
First - Ramon was excellent. Great communication for the pick up at the hotel. The explanations and answering questions was much appreciated. Tequila is a beautiful little town. The three stops - the blue agave field, Selecto Distillery and Jose Cuervo tour were informative and entertaining. Many tastings and explanation of how best to taste. Just a really great day. Be prepared, bring snacks and water as they are not provided. (Except at the very beginning). It can be pretty hot so dress lightly. The roads are extremely bumpy and especially on a holiday weekend like I went - the traffic was horrendous. (Roman did his best to navigate around)

Response from Host, May 2025

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re happy to hear Ramon did an excellent job and that you enjoyed each stop—from the blue agave fields to the Selecto and Jose Cuervo distilleries. It’s great to know the tastings and explanations added value to your day. We also appreciate your tips about bringing snacks, water, and dressing for the heat—very helpful for future travelers! Sorry to hear about the traffic and bumpy roads, especially on a holiday weekend, but we’re glad Ramon did his best to make the journey smooth. Hope to see you again on another adventure!

The places we visite...

Vinicio_B, Apr 2025
The places we visite where very interesting. The information I was trying to learn was there, but the tour guide was pretty bad.

Response from Host, May 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear the places you visited were interesting and that the information you sought was available. We’re sorry that your experience with the guide did not meet your expectations. We value your comments as they help us improve and provide better service in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more satisfying experience next time.

Fun and educational day learning about Tequila

William_W, Apr 2025
The trip to Tequila was a very fun filled and educational day. The two highlights for us were learning how the agave plant is grown and harvested and visiting the artisanal Tequila plant. We learned a lot about the varieties of Tequila and now know what to buy. The trip to the more industrial Jose Cuervo factory was okay, but not really a highlight, especially since the tastings were very limited. Most of the tour attendees were Spanish speakers but the guide did an excellent job of explaining things to the English speakers.

Response from Host, May 2025

Thank you very much for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear you had a fun and educational day, especially learning about how agave is grown and harvested and visiting the artisanal distillery. We understand that the visit to the more industrial Jose Cuervo factory wasn’t a highlight for you, and we appreciate your honesty. We’re happy the guide did an excellent job explaining things to the English speakers, even though most attendees were Spanish speakers. We hope this experience helps you pick the best tequilas and that you return soon to discover more.

Had a Blast

Adrian_M, Mar 2025
It was an awesome tour, had plenty tequila, every visit was amazing with our tour guide giving us info and answering our questions.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

"Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad you had an amazing tour and enjoyed the tequila. Our goal is to make every visit informative and fun. Hope to see you again on another adventure!"

Disappointed

Kathy_S, Mar 2025
Trip was okay, went to find tequila farm and was very interesting. Very informative. Next went to first distillery and was great. Took us through how tequila is made. , had lots of samples tour guide there was awesome. Went on to Tequila had free time , then went to Jose Cuervo distillery, left after a few minutes , repeat of first distillery.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

"It was a pleasure having you on the tour! I’m glad you had a great time and enjoyed the experience. While the distilleries and processes are similar, the first one is an artisanal distillery, whereas José Cuervo is more industrial since their tequila is produced for international distribution."

Excellent tour operator....

Jesus_E, Mar 2025
Excellent tour operator. Great guide, could have had a tiny bit better with his translation of Spanish to English but no problem really what so ever. Comfortable motor coach, excellent driver. Great sites to see and place to eat. I wish I had 2 stomachs because the food at the restaurant in the town of Tequila was amazing. Loved visiting the 2 Tequila plants and the Agave farm.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

"Thank you for your review! We're glad you had a great experience and enjoyed the tour, the tequila, and the amazing food in Tequila. We appreciate your feedback on the translation and will work on improving it. Hope to see you again for another adventure!"

Tequila

Francisco_R, Mar 2025
We had a great time learning about the entire process of making Tequila. The locations that we visited prior to Jose Cuervo distillery were really nice too. Our tour guide Ramon was great and made sure we enjoyed our day.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

"Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoyed learning about the tequila-making process and the places visited. Ramón is an amazing guide, and we're happy to hear he made your day even more special. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back again soon!"

That you will experience...

Laurie_K, Mar 2025
That you will experience 2 tequila tastings along with explanations as well as a video explaining the process. It felt redundant. We also felt it was too long and maybe that’s because of tours of the facilities. The drive home was close to 2 hours making it a long day.

Response from Host, Mar 2025

Thank you for your feedback. While the distilleries and processes are similar, the first one is an artisanal distillery, while José Cuervo is more industrial since their tequila is produced for international distribution. Regarding the distance and traffic, we understand that as the city grows, transfers may become longer, but we will work to improve the experience. We hope to see you again on another tour!

Tequila tour

raquel_v, Jan 2025
We had a great experience Don Ramon was very informative with tequila. Answered all my questions. Over all the experience was great and I would do it again.

Fun tour

Vincent_S, Dec 2024
I had an incredible time on the tequila tour! It was not only fun but also very informative. I learned so much about the tequila-making process, from the harvesting of agave to the distillation and aging techniques. The guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The tasting session was a real highlight, allowing us to appreciate the flavors and craftsmanship behind each tequila. Whether you’re a tequila enthusiast or just curious, this tour is an absolute must-do. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, educational, and memorable experience! Don’t miss out!

We had a wonderful time with my family easy to understand easy to navigate highly recommend recommended

Great spots hard to reach on your own

Aleksandra_R, Nov 2024
Well spent day! Be ready to get an intense experience but without rush. Beautiful tequileria snd the town of Tequila are gems for photographers. Plus realistic food and energy of our guide Francesca! Wouldn’t get it if you went on your own.

Return is caos

Pedro_M, Nov 2024
A bit rushed, return takes a couple of hours (2-3h) due to huge traffic to reach the city. It would be better to stay in Tequila for more hours to avoid rush hour in GDL

Fun

Juan_M, Nov 2024
Great tour guide good explanation ,good tours tequila beautiful sights are some good food.drinks out of this world

Tequila Tour

gilberto, Nov 2024

Tequila and more

Armando_R, Oct 2024
Very enjoyable tour for those who want to learn about roots of this beverage in a no- rush trip to couple of tequila distilleries where you can sample their products. Highly recommend tequila Selecto distillery and their products. Our tour guide made excellent suggestions where to eat in town of Tequila. They pick you up and drop-off at your hotel which is a plus.

Disappointing experience

PeiChi_S, Sep 2024
I thought its supposed to be a English tour but because I'm with a family of 8 who speak mainly Spanish, alot of information was missed out during the trip, thou the guide did try to do some bilingual sharing, I still feel very much short changed and out of place and make my overall experience less pleasant. The operator could be more thoughtful when arranging of such. And when I lost my wrist band (was not informed of the purpose), I need to re pay in order to get into last distillery, which I give it a miss in the end. Lastly, the return journey met with Traffic Jam of over an hour. Thought as a season operator, they should know better how to avoid peak hours (guide says due to off work timing). Of so many Viator tours I had booked, this really give me biggest disappointment yet the most expensive trip.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Hello, We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We understand that there can sometimes be a gap between the original language of our guides, which is Spanish, and a learned language like English. While we may not express ourselves with the same fluency, we assure you that our staff provided you with information in your language throughout the tour, covering all the details. Additionally, we live in challenging times regarding traffic, which is an issue found worldwide, and we’re no exception. We schedule our tours to avoid peak hours; that’s why the tour departs at 10:00 AM, as the busiest times in the city are typically between 6:45 and 9:15 AM when schools and offices start their regular hours. Unfortunately, traffic is beyond our control, as it is for any tour operator. If you lost your bracelet, which we purchase from an external provider, we will need to charge you for a replacement. Our guides provide instructions and recommendations, but we believe that explaining something so basic shouldn’t be necessary, as it is a common understanding that companies are not responsible for personal items lost during an experience. We hope you might consider experiencing this tour again in the future, perhaps with a different perspective, and we would love the opportunity to change your impression. Best regards,

Perfect tour to really know how tequila is make!!

Karen_K, Sep 2024
