A Tour to Whet Your Whistle

Neat tour of Glasgow’s oldest brewery! Dan was super informative and it was nice to be able to have a non-alcohol option for those who wished, at the end.

Delightful tour

Tour Guide Nicole was very knowlegeable about the brewing processes, ingredients, and brewery history. She presented topics in a fun, easy to understand way for all levels of experience. Nicole expertly fielded in-depth questions when they came up. The audio devices made it easy to hear in a potentially loud environment. There is some walking, and there are some stairs. Dress for a production environment. Safety first, then tasting room for a positive, lasting impression.

Excellent tour, Calum was very knowledgeable and had a genuine interest in the information he shared on the brewery and the history of Glasgow. Calum made everyone feel included, great humour, and anecdotes used throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend it.

Good Tour

The tour on the whole was very good in that the guide made it very interesting. The only downside of it was we did not get to see the actual machinery working. We had brought two friends from Holland of which one is a Chief Maintenance Manager for McCaines Chips and specifically bought the tickets so he could see the equipment in action

Tennent’s was lovely. Viator sucks. Was a solo on an outlander tour the day before. Was charged for 3 people. Denied reimbursement! Horrible customer service!!!

Worthy tour!

Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. We’ve been on a lot of brewery tours. We appreciated learning more about the history and unique aspects of Tennent’s. Highly recommended. Include the tasting in your ticket purchase- it is worth it! Also wear closed toed shoes and a hat to avoid wearing the hairnet and rented shoes on site.

Do not leave Glasgow without this tour

Fun, fact-filled tour followed by beer tastings. Lots of memorabilia and I followed it up with a visit to the nearby Glasgow Necropolis. Our tour guide Tony was both knowledgeable and entertaining! He even helped me find the grave of brewery founder Hugh. It just overlooks the brewery and cathedral. Bargain, cheers!

Our tour guide Calum was personable, extremely knowledgeable and best of all hilarious. We learned a lot about the brewing process, the history of Tennant’s and why their beer tastes so freakin’ good. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour if you have an extra 90 minutes is Glasgow!
