Explore the Dockside Story to learn all about the history of whisky, how it's made, and every stage of production. Note: during "silent season," no production will take place but tours run as normal with full access to the distillery.

Whisky Tour on the Clyde

Very interesting tour of a very new distillery located on the Clyde River. Our tour guide, Julia, was very knowledgable and made the experience very fun. Three tastings included in the tour and also offered tastings of other whiskies on sale in the shop. Highly recommend trying the limited edition as well as the one in the sherry cask.

Compact tour of modern whisky distillery in city centre

Good experience in a 1 hour compact tour to a modern distillery, which we managed to fit into a one day trip to Glasgow along with two other attractions we wanted to see. Matthew was a friendly and professional host and we learnt about the background and history of whisky making - along with the all important tasting element at the end!

Don't leave Glasgow without a whiskey experience at Clydeside!

I had some time to kill in Glasgow, and figured I couldn't leave the city without having tried some Scottish whiskey. Clydeside Distillery was truly a lovely little spot for a tour, with history and a tasting. I've always been on the fence about whiskey, but figured I was in safe hands with professionals who love their craft. Turns out my palette still needs some time to get used to whiskey, but I learned so much that it's helped me not be as intimidated by it. Definitely a fun little activity to do if you're in Glasgow and want to have a whiskey experience. Didn't try the cafe, but it smelled delicious. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful tour! Great stories about the history and the smell through the tour was scrumptious! I felt like I would float like grandpa and Charlie. The pours they gave us were generous and loved the glass we got too.

A must when in Glasgow. We learnt a lot about whisky production and tasted 4 different drinks. After the tasting we could keep our glasses.

Great tour

This is a great tour. Booked it for my husband because he is a fan of whisky and he knows a lot about it. We had Austin R as our guide. He is knowledgeable and friendly. As someone who doesn't drink, I tried a bit of each sample and learnt a lot about whisky. Even our 7 years old enjoyed the tour. I felt an hour passed too quickly.

Hearing all about the history of Glasgow and what this location once was is something that made this tour so memorable. The whiskey tasting was something we have never done and we are glad this was our first experience. Definitely would recommend those visiting Glasgow to come here and take the tour!

I bought this experience for my Mum and Dad. It was my Dad’s 70th birthday on the day of the tour. He loved that he got asked for ID (being a senior!). They said it was the best whisky tour they had been on. All the staff were really friendly and the woman who did the tour was brilliant. I bought my Dad some vouchers to spend so he bought a nice bottle of whisky and treated my mum to lunch with the rest. They were really impressed with the building and the views over the Clyde. They recommended it so much that I am going to book the tour for my husband and I at the end of the month. I can’t wait!
