We definitely saw manatees! We also saw a dolphin and a bald eagle! The path was relaxing and peaceful out there. Jody our tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable! High recommend.

Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a successful trip and spotted the big three—manatees, a dolphin, and a bald eagle! It sounds like you had a perfectly peaceful and relaxing paddle, and we are so glad Jody’s engaging and knowledgeable personality added so much to your experience. We will be sure to share your high recommendation with her, and we can’t wait to have you back on the water for another adventure at Weeki Wachee!

We came here hoping to see manatees. Brenna was a lovely and knowledgeable guide who introduced us to many other wild animals along the way. Although we didn’t get to see the manatees this time, it was still a good experience to learn about the local wildlife and the efforts to protect the ecosystem.

Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We are so glad you had a lovely time with Brenna and appreciated her knowledge of the local ecosystem and our conservation efforts. While we always hope for a manatee sighting, the beauty of the river is that it is a wild, living environment where every day offers a different look at our unique birds and other wildlife. We truly appreciate your understanding and are happy to hear that Brenna made the trip a meaningful learning experience regardless. We would love to have you back on the water again soon—hopefully, the manatees will be ready for their close-up during your next visit!

Absolutely bad experience, don’t waste your money. The operator is rude and tend to push problem to you or to the website. Whatever the issue or the problem is you won’t get your money back. They are not will to cooperate with you at all. Worst experience ever. Certainly get a bad day from here. Last day of my vacation is ruined. Plus wasted 180$ and didn’t get to play. I never gave a bad review before, but I have to this time.

Hello Zhanjiu,
We are sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us.
We strive to provide the best possible adventure for everyone. Our team aims to accommodate guests needs, but being 45 minutes late is outside our courtesy 10minute hold-window. While we understand that may be disappointing, we have other guests joining us on our clear kayak adventures that we have to consider as well.
Your feedback is valuable to us. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can assist future guests and do hope you understand our commitment to all guests satisfaction.

Moderately paced 2.5 hr. kayak trip with a group of 9 or so. Beli, our guide, was a gem. Lot's of info, gave us a long enough leash to enjoy the journey, but did a great job setting our boundaries so that all had a great day including the manatees and others on the river. Lovely water way. It rained about 3 inches the two days before, so water was a very much tea colored --- but had a great time with the manatees!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful time on our moderately paced kayak trip with Bel as your guide. It sounds like you had a fantastic adventure despite the tea-colored water, and we're delighted to hear that you got to enjoy the company of the manatees and other wildlife along the river. We know tannins (darker waters) can make for a less than pleasing aesthetic but they’re an amazing part of ecosystem and what they do is both magical and essential. Still, not as beautiful as crystal clear waters :p
We're glad that Bel was able to provide you with lots of information while also giving you the freedom to enjoy the journey at your own pace. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another clear kayak adventure soon. Here's to hoping for even more wildlife sightings on your next trip with us!

No need for glass bottom kayak. Water is dark and green. Not like the pics in the add. Guide was great. Knowledgeable and saved a bird on our trip.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience you had during your recent visit. We understand that the actual experience did not meet your expectations, + we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We understand your frustration + disappointment in conditions out on the water. We sincerely apologize for the experience you had during your kayak trip and understand your frustration with not having clear, or blue waters, as you would like. There are many natural environmental factors that will cause the color and clarity of Weeki Wachee River to change. We include this information on our website, during the reservation process, + on all communications including confirmation + reminder emails. Ecosystems including the Weeki Wachee River are dynamic and change daily. Tannins are what give tea and wine their color and have microbial properties. While the water had reduced visibility the day of your trip nature is beyond our control. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us and we are glad to hear that our guide made up for conditions with their knowledge and action taken in saving wildlife.

We enjoyed the trip. Host Vinny was very friendly and knowledgeable. We would likely have gone earlier in the year
Knowing now how busy the river gets with the warmer water.
A lot of residential views we didn't expect, thought it was more undeveloped from website pictures. Although we did see 2 manatees, eagles and other wildlife.
