We walked around the medina a lot but pretty much everywhere we went was a place to buy stuff obviously the tour or guide gets a cut otherwise I don’t see why, the tanning place especially they were very pushy to buy something and followed you around the whole time

Mohcine was our guide for the day and we really enjoyed our time with him. As a former teacher, he had an excellent way of conveying information and making sure we understood it. But beyond the basics, we had some engaging and philosophical conversations, especially related to comparative religions. Mohcine seemed to be well known by others as evidenced by the number of people who came up to say hello to him and show us what they were doing at his request. He took us to a number of shops in the souk and, if there was any criticism, we probably spent too much time shopping and not enough time seeing the rest of the city (we only had time to do a drive by of the 14th Century Medina and Jewish Quarter). Having said that, we would gladly use Mohcine's services again.

This was an excellent tour, ideal for a one day trip to Fes. We covered not only the ancient medina, with the mosques, madrasas, and the tannery, but also the separate medieval town, with the old Jewish Quarter. The guide was a native of the medina and was knowledgeable and informative. A busy day with lot of walking but well worth it

WOW! So much to see in Fes...everything from the old medina to the 'new city'. The passage ways are narrow and twisty. It was great to have a guide that gave a broad overview of the city and then details of the many nooks and crannies that we would have never found on our own. Larbi was a great guide with a lot of knowledge about the city, its history, current events and traditional artisan ways.

I had a wonderful experience from this tour that my guide Hakim who took me to different spots and explained to me each of its origin and history in details. We passed through different streets in the Medina and it’s just like a huge maze with more than 18000 shops inside. Really impressive heritage.

The conversations with Mohammed were so interesting and made living in Fez come to life. Understanding the various trades and having the opportunity to intersect and speak with several local craftsmen was extremely satisfying. The day had a nice mixture of well paced walking with an afternoon drive to more remote sites. Overall, it was a great experience

We enjoyed seeing all the major sights of Fes. Ikram was very knowledgeable and guided us through the narrow streets of Fes in a timely manner. He was patient with us while we shopped at stores along the way and was very kind to assist us with having our purchases delivered back to our hotel.

Mustafa was great, very knowledgeable about the city of Fez. We enjoyed our tour. He customized the tour based on our interests and even allowed a later start time since we were late to arriving to Fez.

The best way to see fez in one day. Our tour guide KAMAL he was best of the best , very informative and experienced guide.. the tour started at 10 exactly and finished at 7:00 pm ..

If you don’t have much time to spend in Fez but are still eager to discover what the city can offer, this tour is what you are looking for. Although this review as a bit delayed, but I have to say that this experience was absolutely phenomenal. The gentleman that was accompanying us even kept my little nephew, entertain through the busy market of fez. We still have memorable moments from this experience.

We had a great 7 hour tour of Fez and the Medina with a private guide. We started by driving to various sites outside of the Medina. Having a driver bring us from point was efficient and the best way to do it. Some of the sites in Fez really only merit 5 - 10 minutes, so if we had taken a cab from spot to spot, hailing drivers all morning, it would have been a lot more trouble.
Then we walked seemlessly through the Medina, with our guide pointing things out on the way, keeping us shielded from unsolicited hustlers and all those people who tried to "help" us when we walked around the day before alone. Over the course of the day we ticked off pretty much all the major sites listed in my Morocco guide book, which was great. We did stop at a number of artisan shops, but since I'm interested in craft heritage that was nice too. We felt no pressure to buy anything, and our guide whisked us away the second we were ready to go. We also saw the tanneries, which I think might have been stressful with more pressure to buy things and pay for a visit if we had not had the tour guide to bring us in and out.
Finally, we had lunch in a restaurant (there was an option for street food too). The restaurant was full of tourists, but it was still really good. Clean and not overpriced compared to other Fez restaurants. Lunch was the last thing we did, so eat a big breakfast.
Really, save yourself the stress and hassle and just book a guided tour of Fez. We finished the day tired but in a pleasantly satisfied mood.
