Our guide was very knowledgeable. He is from Fes and it shows. He knows everything and every one. He took us to the best place with reasonable prices. He was very helpful even helped solve an issue in the evening with a bad restaurant. 10/10. Really good guide and good person.

I never really leave reviews for things when they work out as expected but I had to leave a review for this company. I booked this tour and on the day of the trip the guide showed up on time to my hotel. After a short greeting my wife became suddenly ill. I informed the guide we will not be able to continue with the tour. I tipped him and told him it was completely our fault and would not try to cancel or get a refund. Later that same afternoon someone from the company called and asked how she was feeling. When I told him she was feeling better he offered to send another guide and complete the tour. A short time later he showed up and we completed the tour. I was so impressed by this action I felt compelled to write this review. This company had no obligation to send another guide and furnish another tour due to the fact they did everything they were supposed to do in the first place. I apologize I don't remember the names of the people we dealt with, it was a hectic trip. The tour was excellent and well worth the money. I believe the second man who called and then came back and conducted the tour was the owner or manager, but I'm not 100% sure and don't want to be mistaken. I can't recommend this company enough.

Truly a Local Experience

Abdellatif Maskine (guide) was an older man who had lived in Fez his whole life, knew every derb, and was amazing at getting me into private places, behind closed doors, rooftops, bakeries, shops, special tastings. He knew everyone and the locals were happy to share themselves with his tourist. I felt like I was given a once in a lifetime experience that was above and beyond the usual tour of 'must sees.' Fascinating, educational, and our favorite tour

What a amazing tour. In all of our time in Morocco, this tour was made special mostly because of how wonderful our tourguide, Abdul, was! In the beginning, Abdul asked if there was anything specific we wanted to buy or see. We are traveling only with backpacks so we didn't buy much as far as souvenirs, but came more to learn and eat great food. The Medina in Fez is larger, but less chaotic than in Marrakech. This allowed Abdul to really teach us about his way of life. Abdul showed us some of the best places to eat and sample so many foods. However, I learned how they do their metal working, leather, colored clothing/silk, and how they make their beautiful carpets! I loved this day so much! Abdul dedicated his day to make our memeories truly special. I used Viator and Whatsapp to contact him the night before our tour to confirm location pickup.

Fes Medina Experience

Our tour guide Adbi did a fantastic job! We would tell that he loves his job and loves his city. He took the extra time to give us a customized tour. He bought us fresh goat cheese to try as well as taking us to his friend's pastry shop to see how the pastries were made and then bought us a treat. He made the city come alive and personalized the experience for us. I would highly recommend this tour.

A must tour!

Interesting, fun, safe, relaxing and enjoyable

After initially trying to navigate fez ourselves with no success (getting lost and harassed by conmen) we decided to get a private tour the next day. Abi was our tour guide. He was very likeable and knowledgable about fez and was an incredibly enjoyable tour guide. He made the tour interesting and it was far more relaxing touring the busy narrow streets of inner fez with Abi, would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting fez for safe and interesting trip around the medina, markets and tannery.

Best way to see what you want in the Medina

Abdul was super helpful and pleasant to spend the day with. My wife and I had an itinerary of places to visit in the Medina, and he led us to those places easily. He helped us ship items that we wanted from Fes to our hotel in Marrakech. He is very resourceful and would be valuable to have as a guide and as a connection in Fes.

Must-do Experience!

If you're going to Fes, you absolutely need to book a private medina tour. The place truly is a maze and you will get lost (and misguided) by the locals if you're not traveling with a guide. Our guide, Abbi, showed us every nook & cranny of the Fes medina. Even though this was supposed to be a 1/2 day tour, it went way longer than that because there was so much to see. The tannery was really cool to see and you have a great vantage point of it. We could've skipped the visit to a museum that our guide dropped us off at. We truly had no interest in going (and paying the entrance feel), but our guide insisted we go. Would've much rather preferred having a lunch break during the tour, as we were STARVING by the time we finally ended around 3pm that day. But all in all, highly recommend this tour with this organizer.

We were a group of four friends and we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide in Fes. Abdul is the nicest guy who went above and beyond and made our stay in Fes delightful. He knows Fes well and all the locals, he is easygoing, speaks English really well and worked to the pace we were comfortable with. After the 4-hour tour was over, Abdul recommended great restaurants for us where he booked them, picked us up and brought us back to the hotel (he even organised a birthday cake to be delivered to the restaurant for one of our friend's birthday). What started as a 4-hour walking guide ended up being a 2 day personal guide with Abdul organising EVERYTHING for us. You won't regret booking this tour with Abdul!

Great impression of Fez

Abi was a professional and arrived on time. He had a programme for the day ready, and appeared to know exactly what I was interested in seeing. Throughout the tour, he constantly provided a narrative or explanation of Fez and the places where we were visiting. I had an impression I was seeing the real Fez and the every day lives of its citizens. It felt like a dear friend, who had the intel, was taking me around his city, with an intention of ensuring that I enjoyed. It was not rushed. Overall, it was service that went beyond and over the extra mile. Abi even made sure I didn’t get lost and personally accompanied me to the cooking class I booked for the evening. Should my daughter or dear friends visit Fez, I would only entrust them to Abi.

Die Tour begann mit einem Blick über die Medina vom nahegelegenen Hausberg aus. Anschliessend schlenderten wir durch die verwickelten und engen Hintergassen der Stadt bevor wir mit dem "offiziellen" Teil der Führung begonnen, dem Souk, Färberei, Moschee... Unser Guide war ein erfahrener Mann in den 60ern, mit einem schier unerschöpflichen Pool an Wissen über die Geschichte von Marokko und Fes und vor allem: Lebenserfahrung! Es war ein Fest zu sehen, wie investiert er in seine Heimatstadt war. Nicht nur genoss er offensichtlich das Vertrauen der Einwohner (vom Bäcker in einer Hinterstube der Stadt, dem Schreiner wo nur die Insider bestellen über diverse Händler und Bewohner, die ihm und uns im Vorbeigehen kurze Gespräche zuwarfen); wir konnten ihn bildlich als Kind durch die Gassen der Stadt jagen oder freitags in der Oase vor der Stadt mit der Familie Picknicken sehen. Zu keiner Zeit hat er versucht, uns etwas zu verkaufen oder uns irgendwo hin zu bringen, wo dies üblich wäre. Aus der Halbtagstour wurde schnell ein Marathon und wir mussten ihn in seinem Elan sogar bremsen, da uns und den Kindern dann mal die Puste ausging. Einfach nur genial!

Avec une approche très personnelle, il a adapté la visite à notre famille de quatre, s’assurant que chacun de nous soit pleinement engagé et informé. La médina de Fès est un labyrinthe d’histoire, et Abdul a su naviguer avec aisance, nous guidant à travers ses ruelles sinueuses, tout en partageant des anecdotes fascinantes qui ont donné vie à chaque coin et recoin. Sa passion pour sa ville et son patrimoine était évidente et contagieuse.
