We had the best time with Nelson as our tour guide. It ended up being a private tour which was really cool! There are moments of climbing steep stairs and rocks but he was always helpful and attentive. The natural water slide, cliff jump, and rope swings were sooo fun while still feeling safe. (Coming from someone with a fear of heights). Highly recommend!!

We had signed up for a different hike, but the tour guide couldn't make it. The organizer was quickly able to get us into this tour with Nate instead, which we don't regret. As a moderately active 50 year old woman, I was worried the hike could be too strenuous for me. However, despite the challenge, I could keep up because the tour guides were able to support me and made sure I was safe. Not only did I get a chance to view beautiful foliage, scenes, and sights, learn some facts about El Yunque, but also feel good that I accomplished something physically challenging. I strongly recommend!

It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Rafael was kind, knowledgeable and very passionate. Although the hiking and climbing was intense.. Rafael made sure we were safe and helped us, encouraged us every step of the way. I went on my 50th birthday and jumped off 17 foot cliff, slid down a rock waterfall and jumped into the lagoon from a rope swing.

We had reservations for months. Confirmed with the tour operator in the days leading up to the tour and they just didn't show up. No calll, no message, nothing. No phone number to call them.
If you have a car, which you have to for this excursion, you can do the park on your own, for free. That's what we ended up doing. Go see it@
We called Viator support and Christian was amazing! Thanks to him for looking for alternatives for us and getting our refund.

This is not an easy stroll through the rainforest. Expect to slip and slide and get muddy, literally everyone fell not just us. There are ropes to help you up the hill, this is not meant for beginners or anyone out of shape....or afraid of heights. The waterslide drop is a 5 foot drop with a current in 20 feet of water. The cliff jumping and swing was fun. Overall the guide was okay but the excursion itself is misrepresented, this should be for 20 year olds that want an adrenaline high. Do not wear nice clothes, wesr sneakers or good water shoes, you will be a mess afterwards.

Raphael was an excellent guide with over 15 year’s experience. He knows the trails, river, falls, slides & climbing with his eyes closed. He even suggested where to eat afterwards & that was perfect to see the sunset in Loquillo.
His passion for this tour & people made it special.

Rafael was great guide and helped us very well while climbing trail . Gave good suggestion for restaurant in Luquillo Beach.
Just note that if you have younger kids < 5 years I would recommend that one of you stay at bottom of river with them and rest of your group can climb rocks to enjoy waterfall slides. Specifically mention to tour operators that you have toddler, not doing this caused little confusion in our case but that didn’t impact our experience at all .

We had such an amazing experience and the best ever travel guide. Rafael is amazing! The trail is crazy muddy (so do not bring any clothing you love, they will get dirty). We felt safe throughout the experience because of Rafaels guidance and helping hand to get us up some crazy rocks. We got to jump into the water off some tall rocks, experience rock water slides, do a rope swing into the water, swim under a waterfall and learn about the history of Puerto Rico while doing it. Rafael took amazing photos along the way so that we could just focus on having fun! Highly recommend this tour! A tip to share: don’t bring your phone or sunglasses as you will need to hide them in places when you’re swimming and it’s kind of a hassle. Wear tennis shoes that you don’t care about getting dirty.

Ian was an amazing tour guide, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! I traveled with a group of 5 friends and this was our first time visiting El Yunque. We got a little lost trying to find the meetup point and Ian remained patient while he guided us to CVS. Once our tour started, Ian was a wealth of knowledge, sharing with us about the rainforest habitat, the history of the island and making sure that we felt comfortable at all times. Parts of this hike were pretty strenuous and required elements of rock climbing to get to the water slide. Our group was made up of people with different activity levels, but we all made it through thanks to Ian's assistance. (*Pro Tip: Myself and two other friends did both the hike and swim in swim shoes with a decent grip at the bottom, and this seemed to work better than our friends that wore sneakers..the trail is muddy and slippery!*) This tour was the highlight of my birthday trip to Puerto Rico and I would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!

We’ve reserved a tour for 3 people for 9 am. After we had arrived at departure location I got notified that group had already left. The time of the trip was changed from 9 am to 8 am for less than 24 hours period and I’ve never got notified about any changes in my trip. I’ve been told that the guide tried to call me, but the number I used during reserving a trip was wrong. Which still brings a question- why no one contacted me via email, which was used during the reservation as well.
After I’ve asked for the refund for trip I’ve never attended, I’ve been told by guide that I can’t get any refund!
Completely unprofessional service! Be careful with booking any trip though Viator or with the guide itself.
Super disappointed and would never recommend to nobody!!!!

Our guide was excellent! We got lucky enough to be able to personalize our tour. Fruits provided were a sweet touch. The waterfall and scenery was amazing. The swim was refreshing. Hike gets a bit muddy but well worth it. One of my favorite adventures! 10/10 recommend!

Vanessa was amazing. Super helpful with my family (3 kids and 2 elderly adults) and knowledgeable. We all had an amazing time and loved the adventure. If you’re looking for a family friendly tour this is it! It’s still a bit of a challenge for the kiddos (ages 4-8) but with a little help totally doable. Would definitely recommend this tour and her as a guide!
