Great time in Asmara

This is a fantastic tour from Phil and his team. He was very quick to get the visa in advance and he met you at the airport. His driver and guide were knowledgeable and caring. You felt like a member of your family was showing you their city. They even stayed around for drinks after the tour before my late flight. I would highly recommend booking with this company!

Our private day tour for a family of four (2 adults and 2 adult children) was well worth the time and money. Our guide, Phil, and driver, Yonis, made an excellent pair. Phil speaks fluent English and knows his country well. After picking us up at the airport, we learned that, since COVID, we were among the first 30 tourists to visit this beautiful country and the 2d group of Americans. To those who may be concerned, Asmara is very safe and protests to be one of the safest cities in the world. Phil began the tour with a brief explanation of why it’s so safe and then dove into Eritrea’s history, government structure, relationships with other countries, and answered all of our questions. He ensured that we visited all important sites as well as some local hangouts. We enjoyed the colonial preservation of this city as well as a delicious lunch at a local restaurant followed by ice cream at one of Asmara’s best spots. We highly recommend visiting Asmara and asking for Phil as your tour guide!
