Be sure to monitor our messages for your exact pickup time, and contact us if you have not received it. Please note that the tour cannot wait for guests who are not on time. Due to city traffic regulations, all guests staying in the Old Town area will be picked up at Pile Gate and dropped off at Vila Dard (Pera Bakica 11)—a 10-minute walk from Pile Gate. Pick-ups for this tour are available up to Slano, as the tour travels in that direction. Look for black and white Mercedes vehicles with the orange Amico Tours logo, registration plates DU2006 - our birthday :). Remember your passport! Some countries allow travelers to use a national ID instead, so be sure to check what applies to you before the trip. All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. You must confirm and obtain any visa requirements before crossing the border.

Itinerary

Receive a morning pickup from your Dubrovnik hotel and travel aboard an air-conditioned minivan on a scenic drive along the Croatian coast. You eventually meet up with the Neretva River and travel to your first stop of the day, Ston.

See the medieval walls that circle the town and embark on a walking tour with your guide. Learn about the area's history and strategic importance before heading to the salt pans to see how the "white gold" was harvested for centuries.

Next, head to Kravice Waterfalls, a scenic cascade along the Trebizat River. In summer the river is known as a popular swimming spot, offering visitors the chance to take a refreshing dip.

Make your last stop of the day in Mostar. Admire the famous UNESCO-listed “Stari Most” Old Bridge before proceeding on a city walking tour. Stop by Mostar’s mosque, the bazaar, and check out a typical Turkish house, a remnant of the city’s historic connection to the Ottoman Empire. End your trip to Mostar with free time to grab a Turkish coffee, explore on your own, or grab some food (own expense).

After Mostar, receive a ride back to your Dubrovnik hotel.

Absolutely loved this trip. Our driver and guide, Gabriel, was amazing and so helpful. He stopped at some lovely places along the way and was always thinking of his passengers wellbeing. Mostar is a must see city and Kravice Falls are stunning.

Uncomfortable ride; great destinations

I thought a “small group” tour would be more comfortable than a big bus tour, but it wasn’t. I paid more for this “small group,” but it wasn’t worth it. Apparently, “small group” just means less people overall, but packed into smaller van with smaller seats and less legroom. It was like flying in economy class. The destinations were great and the guide was knowledgeable, kind, and excellent. But when you cram 17 people into a 19 passenger van with small seats and terrible legroom, there is no way to spread out and be comfortable. It was terrible. For me, the AC couldn’t cool the van enough, probably because of all the heat outside combined with all the human body heat crammed into a tight space. For such a long distance tour, the company should absolutely NOT try to fill every seat in that van. They should keep it to 10-12 on such a long trip, not 19. I would not book this tour again because of the lack of comfort during drive time.

I had a brilliant time on the tour it had a great balance on time alone versus structured tour. Customs speed was amazing thankfully this happens when in a very small group. Gabriel made sure everyone was comfortable and kept us knowledgeable about everything we needed to know on the way. He is an excellent guide and if you get him you will be delighted. I booked the trip and arrived at the pickup location at 6:30 to be told the tour was not running that day. Very disappointed. The tour guide was kind enough to allow me to come on a tour to Montenegro instead, which was Ok, but not what I had planned or paid for. Viator gave a refund without any problems which is commendable.

Perfectly paced tour - great way to see Herzegovina!

Gabrielle was the perfect tour guide! We had a great time and this was a very well-paced tour. First we went to the waterfalls and had more than enough time to take in the view. Then in Mostar we also had enough time to walk around and see the sights. There was also adequate time to stop for the bathroom or to get a small snack/drink on the way to and from the locations on the tour. Gabrielle told us a lot about the history of the area, and we could ask lots of questions. He was very knowledgeable and I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone else.

Kravice / Mostar daytrip

The trip was really well planned and executed. I read a lot of reviews ahead of booking the Kravice/Mostar trip. We had about 10 on the tour. We were on a good quality air conditioned minibus. The driver and guide were two different people so both could concentrate on what they were best at. We also had a separate guide for the walking tour of Mostar. The timing with an early start minimized the wait at the border crossing. The Falls were beautiful. If you want the best lighting on the falls, we were a little to early. They face mostly East but are on a curve and need the sun to be higher to be fully lit. Because of our early October date and early in the day arrival time there weren't any crowds so we could see everything comfortably. The tour of Mostar is mostly just a few blocks walk on the small shop filled main street with the bridge in the middle. Definitely worth seeing but only there for tourist trade. Our primary guide was Darijo. He was terrific. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history and politics of both Dubrovnik/Croatia and Mostar/Bosnia. Best of all his delivery was filled with good humor and easy to understand despite some of the material being complicated. I would definitely recommend requesting Darijo as your guide and scheduling the trip according to his schedule if you have the freedom to do so.

Well worth the early start and lots of driving

We really enjoyed our day in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we fully recommend this to anyone seeking a day out while staying in Dubrovnik. We had an early start, but this was worth it to spend so much time at the waterfalls and Mostar. The waterfalls were spectacular and the lake was super refreshing to swim in. Mostar was beautiful and I loved exploring the old streets, although it was very busy. Our guide Matej answered all of our questions and his commentary was super interesting. The minibus rides were long, but they felt shorter thanks to the commentary and the regular stops.

Fantastic Tour!

The whole trip ran like clockwork and was really well organised. Leaving earlier and being in a small group meant that we were a lot more efficient in getting around, less waiting, and border control wasn't too long. Our tour guide Darijo was great, really interesting and friendly and we never felt rushed. The scenery en route was incredible and we loved swimming in the waterfalls. Mostar was also nice, and we had a delicious Bosnian meal at Food House. We would have loved to have learnt more about the history of Mostar on a longer walking tour, but appreciated the free time. We would really reccomend this tour, it's been the highlight of our holiday so far!

worth every penny, guide had lots of knowledge

we were picked up from the hotel and were joined with 4 other people (6 total) for the trip and it was lead by a young man and the driver, the entire way there the young man spoke about the history of the waterfalls, bosnia, and croatia, it was very interesting and it wasn’t read from a book or a leaflet, it was his entire knowledge start to finish and he was able to answer any questions you had, very commendable. we gained some knowledge about where we’re going and why it’s important. the waterfalls were lovely and had a lot of time to explore, we then head to mostar where we had a local guide show us the best places, as well as a food recommendation which was amazing, and cost efficient, food in bosnia is half the price compared to croatia and it was all fresh, traditional foods that tasted lovely. we had time to go around the markets and because there was only 6 of us, it was very manageable and we were able to communicate easier whether we wanted to stay longer or cut the trip short, this gave us more time as it was easier to go through border control as opposed to having a big coach of 40+ people. for the price i think this is a very good purchase if you are staying in croatia for holiday and you’d like to see some wonderful sights and visit a new country.

Famous Bridge and Beautiful Waterfalls

I thought Mostar was wonderful and was thrilled to walk across the famous bridge. Loved wandering in the old town and watching the craftsman working with copper. I bought a small tray with painted flowers which is beautiful, all handmade. Then we drove to Kravice Waterfalls which are spectacular. An absolutely lovely day.

Picturesque Day Trip

The tour is a full day through the coastline and mountains into Herzegovina and Montenegro. The waterfalls are a delight to see and create great photos. There is a restaurant serving traditional foods and drinks with ample time to enjoy both if desired. Also local vendors have stalls from which to purchase local made products. The Lady of the Rocks church is certainly worth the visit though it gets crowded inside. Still you have ample time to hear the guides telling the history of the site. I particularly enjoyed Kotor even though it was raining. Again ample time to tour on your own, eat, and shop. The driver and guide were very informative throughout the trip and really made it special!!

Amazing trip, highly recommend our tour guide Daniel and driver Goran were really good and made the day run smoothly. Kravice waterfalls are beautiful highly recommend you swim but be careful the water is freezing! 1 hour is probably not long enough though for swimming and drinks. Mostar is amazing 3 hours is the perfect time to see the highlights and grap a meal, food is really cheap and good quality.

I really enjoyed everything about this trip and our tour guide was incredible - she should be a stand up comedian! My only minor complaint would be that it would be good to spend slightly less time in Mostar to allow extra time by the waterfalls - I would have liked an extra 30 mins there so it felt less rushed!

Nice side trip when you need a break from the crowds in Dubrovnik!

Everything from the pickup in the morning, to the multiple border crossings, to the tour guide, to the actual destinations were really great. Now, keep in mind you do spend a lot of time in the mini-bus but the tour guide is usually providing insight into the people and culture of the places you are visiting so it does pass the time. My only advice would to the tour company would be to increase the time at the Kravice Waterfalls and slightly reduce the time in Mostar. The town of Mostar has been discovered so it was very crowded on the day I visited, and not much to see beyond the Bridge. Overall though, I give Amico Tours a bug thumbs up!

Overall had an excellent experience. The tour guide was awesome and made it a very good tour. The only real complaint I had was with the local tour guide in Mostar. She didnt do a very good job making sure the group was all together. She rarely raised her hand. I know it's hard to keep everyone right together when there are so many people but perhaps a flag or something of that nature could have helped.

Waterfalls were spectacular and area surrounding them was peaceful. Good have been there longer but we’ll worth the visit.

My husband and I loved this day trip to Mostar and Kravica falls. The history, the beautiful sites, and the friendly people. We would definitely recommend that everyone come visit Bosnia and Herzegovina! What made it even better was our excellent guide and driver Gabriel. He was nice, funny and genuinely looked after us for the day. He also knew some shortcuts that helped us beat the big tour buses to the sites and navigate the border crossings with almost no queues (which of course can’t always be helped)! Thank you Gabriel!!

The highlight of our trip

This trip is well organised with just the right amount of time spent at all places. The Kravice waterfalls are amazing, Pocitelj is a fairy tale town and Mostar is so historic and beautiful. Our guide Amalia made the experience all the more memorable. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great driver too. A fantastic experience all round and would recommend this day trip to everyone visiting Dubrovnik.

Mostar and Kravice tour

Amico were awesomeVery knowledgable as was the Mostar guide. Bosnia has faired less favourably since the war compared to Croatia due to unscrupulous politicians. Quite an eye opener.Both venues were amazing as was meal recommended by guide in Mostar. Highly recommended all round.
